Beautifully succulent lamb and chicken! I ordered the mixed wrap (lamb and chicken) and my partner ordered the chicken wrap and they were both beautifully tender, well spiced and generous!

I’ve seen hard working students working here so polite and hardworking and I know for 100% fact these students haven’t been paid for their work! They are struggling as it is to better themselves and this is a disgrace the the restaurant shame on you! I won’t be returning.

Need some morals and to start paying their hard working staff.

I was looking forward to trying the moussaka, but it took quite a while and I had to leave without it for my train. I ended up paying £14 for just an Arabic tea, which was delicious. Leave ample time if ordering entrees.

Lebaneat at York Station is a hidden gem for travelers. Conveniently tucked away on Platform 12, it’s perfect for grabbing a quick bite before hopping on your train, though it’s not the easiest to access unless you're already at the station. Despite its small size, the food packs a punch and is reasonably priced, especially for station dining. As fans of Lebanese cuisine, we were impressed by the vegetarian options. We tried the wraps and salads, and both were delicious. While it seems some of the food is pre-prepared and reheated, it still tasted fresh—no complaints there! There are a few chairs and tables available if you want to eat on-site, but we opted for takeaway. If you’re passing through York Station and craving flavorful, affordable food, Lebaneat is a solid choice.

Food was digusting ordered a lamb shawarma wrap. Lamb was chewy full of fat and salad was off. Never buying from here again!

I always pop into them when I come to York. My mom loves their lamb shawarma wrap! And I agree with her, their food always tastes good(even though last time it wasn't easy to chew meat). The staff is friendly and usually crack some jokes. Once, they gave me some hummus for free, which was also very tasty! Always they have 15% for students. Also the price is very good for the food they make. Very affordable. Overall, it's a perfect place for a quick bite when you're at the train station!

We just had coffee here, which was very nice. The food looks really great, someone in front of us was having a wrap of some kind, looked delicious and freshly made

Ordered a falafel wrap and it's not worthy for what I paid. No sauce or anything just falafel stuffed in bread. Could've been better with veggies

It was quite pricey for a tiny take away with a few tables. It's actually in York railway station under a bridge tucked away out of sight. The menu in the inside wall looked lovely but they didn't have this menu! We chose lamb, some of the pieces were very chewy. We both had upset stomachs afterwards. It wasn't the worst but definitely not worth the cost. Staff friendly. Tiny and looked just clean enough.

The shawarma is Tasteful and absolutely delicious, whenever I go out or come back to york i always take one wrap and it tastes as good as the first time

Well.. I know their ratings are really nice, but the food was trully disapointing. Dry shawarma, with almost no meat in it. Awful.

Good and affordable Lebanese food. Every time I have to change at York I always make sure I get something from here.

Ordered lamb wrap, got 25% student discount. The portion was big and also very tasty. Worth every penny.

The chicken shawarma tasted like a poop burrito. Nothing is prepared fresh. I’m not sure how this has such high ratings. Don’t waste your money!!!!!

Food safety did not seem to be a priority as gloves were used to touch everything. Ingredients were not heated through properly—vegetarian wrap was very bad.

£2 extra for gluten free is an absolute rip off. Taking advantage of people with food intolerancea. Won't be eating here again

A delicious and nourishing lentil soup. A welcome change from the mass produced chain coffee shop food. Highly recommend

Yummy wraps, baklava and coffee all at a great price. Very refreshing compared to the standard overpriced cafes you normally find in a train station. Will definitely come back to Lebaneat next time I’m changing trains at York!

£6.95 for lamb shawarma wrap at a railway station is good, but sadly the wrap was flat and uninspiring. Coffee was a disappointment too - more like instant than Middle East.

Lovely to find such a fabulous place on a Station. Here is a change from the usual outlets with their overpriced coffee, standard food offerings thrust at you at every location. A break from the constant, "more of the same" Lebaneat serves hot food that is tasty and different, prices are reasonable and it is a joy to eat here. At last, an alternative to the bland offerings of the "big chains" that appear everywhere you go, be it railway station or Service station. Lebaneat is qualityfood on a wide menu that is just a pleasure. Absolutely Brilliant !

I love this place, really friendly and helpful staff with wonderful food, my favourite in York! I was so happy to find out they do gluten free wraps as I'm a coeliac and Lebanese is my favourite cuisine. Muhammad at York was most helpful and really friendly. Great affordable Lebanese food right in the heart of York train station. Such a relief to find tasty food after an exhausting journey. The chocolate baklava nearly brought me to tears- so good! Would recommend for quality, taste and price 20/10

On route home to London Via York, and found the cutest AND DELICIOUS pit stop while I waited for my next train in York train station near platform 8 (it’s almost 9pm) but it’s open and ready to feed hungry travellers great fresh food! The kind gentleman made me a delicious falafel and halloumi wrap which I devoured after a long day. What a great find!

Went for a basic chicken shawarma wrap. Pretty delicious, super quick as well. Mahmoud was hilarious and he was just such a lovely and energetic presence 🤗. Definitely recommend!

Came in for my layover train and ordered a chicken schwarma wrap with halloumi. It was hands DOWN so tasty I ordered more food 10/10 would recommend I'm coming back next layover

Absolutely fantastic! I had a 30 minute change over so thought I'd give it a go. The service was extremely fast, the mixed shawarma wrap was beautiful! And the staff member who served me was brilliant too. I enjoyed my wrap so much I quickly shuffled back over platforms to grab another for the remaining leg of the journey.

Delicious freshly cooked food. I had a falafel wrap and it was amazing, will definitely come back to try the other options on the menu. The staff are so friendly and Mahmoud is great :) The best food at York station for sure!

I had about half an hour between trains and didn't fancy the usual poor stuff out of Burger King. Saw this place instead and had a mains course of chicken shawarma (including rice and bread) and drink for the same price I'd have paid in Burger King. Food was very nice and the staff friendly and had a bit of chat with my 3 year old nephew. It was well packed for still hot on the train 15 minutes later and came with cutlery so not too messy.

The food was tasty and we enjoyed authentic Arab cuisine, including delicious samboosas and shawarmas. There are also a range of Arab desserts that are available including Knafe and Baklava, and even vegan and vegetarian options. The prices are fantastic and I would definitely recommend! I have tried lots and lots of Mediterranean restaurants in most of the UK cities and I can say definitely that this restaurant has the best Shawerma and Baklava you can ever eat.

Despite the service being fast and efficient, the drinks were not cold, the wrap was hardly edible and the staff (the short one) was very off-hand and aggressive. I will not be returning.

Travelling late at night, trains cancelled feeling low until I found this little beauty hidden in York train station , very friendly guy served me up an unreal shawarma and lifted my spirits

Disappointment to say the least, based of reviews was expecting some authentic tastey Lebanese food, it was anything but. The shawarma wrap was falling to bits eventually just had to chuck the wrap away, and eat meat with fork, lamb was chewy and chicken didn’t taste great. Drinks were warm cause fridge doesnt work in summer. The the roasted potatoes were nice only edable thing on menu, service was good and quick, friendly staff, but don’t think I’d go again

So so so good and such lovely service and people. Food was incredibly delicious and filling. I had the lebaneat special, which was roasted aubergine and falafel and tahini, yum!

Great food, but the best part was the great service provided by the Cook in the front desk, very helpful, polite and fast. 100% recommended 👌

Had an amazing chicken wrap at the train station worth every penny.

The service was fast at affordable prices, so can’t fault them there, but the food wasn’t great. The falafel wrap was tasteless and so bland. Also, I didn’t appreciate how the short fat bloke seemed so irate at his colleague barking orders like a nutjob, which ruined the experience for me.

Super fast service and low prices which is kind of all you want for train station food but the shawarma was really bad. The lamb was very tough and chewy, the only salad he put in was half brown iceberg lettuce, the sauce was quite a gross mayonnaise. If there was like a simple tahini sauce and some proper salad it would have been fine, although maybe then it wouldn't have been so affordable.

Can't resist stopping here every time I pass through York. Highly recommend the chicken wrap with extra halloumi (and the decaf coffee!)

Really friendly staff but unfortunately the lamb shawarma was very fatty which is a bit unpleasant in a wrap. No tomatoes or pickles either.

We had a take away from station.

A must visit halal restaurant in town, especially if you happened to arrive at York Station. The shawarma is delicious and second to none. Mahmood is so kind and polite. If you're student, show your Uni card to get 10% off. I'll always come here. You can also pray inside if you can't find any decent place to pray at the station. Love the food to the bone. Barakallah brother.

Hi I had the mixed wrap today the chicken was lovely but sadly the lamb was not good it was mainly all fat and no proper meat with the lamb which made it not very nice! Wish I had got just the chicken now.

This place doesn’t need my review, but I’m giving it anyway, because it’s so good. Food, coffee and friendly service in spades. Come on, this is a treasure. ⭐️x5

Not really Lebanese food to be honest. The wrap was premade and reheated which meant the bread was dry and broke apart. Not how Khubz should be!
