The large Bacon, Sausage, and Mushroom with brown sauce are to die for.

The staff is so lovely, they are smiley, helpful and welcoming. The food portion is great with cheap price, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting York!! ❤️❤️

Great tasting fresh produce and a welcoming service. Been eating here for months. Gutted my work takes me elsewhere for a while but I'll be back for my usual in a few weeks all being well. I only get a fried breakfast once a year when visiting the UK, so it's always filled with anticipation for a good one - No 84 delivers! Really tasty with good, thick bacon and nice slice of black pudding included. Hard recommend!

Good quality, service and pricing. It can get busy at lunchtime with queues out of the door, which speaks for itself.

Fabulous tasting BIG hot/cold sandwiches . We are in with hot drinks. They allow dogs in and brought our dog some pulled pork over ! What a treat. Definitely recommend x

What a great little place, we were staying in an apartment just around the corner from this restaurant and gave it a try for breakfast we liked it so much we came back again the next morning, the food was excellent, the ingredients were great quality especially the bacon, the staff were friendly and helpful and as I told them they don't charge enough for the quality offered

Nice food but the large sandwich I got was more more like extra small. Didn't fill a gap. Still hungry.

Always lovely food - really fresh and the best quality- I wouldn’t go anywhere else and the staff are all lovely. Their jacket potatoes are lovely and crispy and the egg mayonnaise is really tasty. It’s family run and they’re all lovely. Even their dog!

Popular lunch-break spot for local workers. Jacket potatoes must be good because they go very fast. Good hash browns, breakfast sandwiches, and paninis. Nice traybakes too. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Would just give the coffee a miss.

Stopped in for an early bacon roll and tea and was spot on. Very friendly, good portions, well cooked and great value.

We've been getting food from here for years. The staff are lovely, very accommodating to any specific requests, and the food is always freshly made and great quality.

I work nearby so have been popping here on and off for my lunches for years. Great sandwiches and jacket spuds. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I've never eaten in but plenty do. Well worth visiting. Just be warned - it gets really busy at lunchtime as it's so popular.

In my opinion, this is undoubtedly the best deli and cafe in York for breakfast and lunch at a very affordable price. The products are the best quality and customers get great value for money. The sandwiches are fully filled to the brim with such a fabulous choice of fillings. There are hot options of baked potatoes, paninis, soup, hot sandwiches and salads. This is a family run business. The owners are so professional, friendly and approachable and really look after their customers. I love this place. Everyone should support this fantastic local business. Nicola x

The best sandwich shop and cafe in York as far as I'm concerned. Sandwiches made to order at great prices and not stingy on the filling. They do hot sandwiches, salads to go and baked potatoes too. My favourite lunch time place.

Great sarnies with lots of fillings to choose from, hot options too like baked potatoes, soup and bacon sarnies. Good choice of drinks too.

Good food, good price, lovely service

I've been coming here every Friday lunch time for the last few weeks and never had anything to complain about. The food is tasty, well priced and we'll portioned and the staff are all really friendly and welcoming. Excellent place to grab a quick lunch.

I've been going to this sandwich shop for about 15 years as our railway offices were just behind the shop. The office block is now apartments but wouldn't go anywhere else. Best sandwich shop in York👍

Helpful staff and good place for lunch.

My wife and I called in for a snack after arriving in York for a few days on Tuesday (5th October). We found that the menu offerings were ideal for us and for breakfasts. The staff are extremely friendly, efficient and attentive and provided us, and our friends, with breakfasts on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. It's clearly a popular place because within a few minutes of our first visit to the empty cafe, a queue built up to the outside (about 12 customers) for takeaway snacks and drinks. On our 3rd visit a health inspector arrived and we noticed later that a 5* hygiene certificate had been awarded. The cafe is only open Mon-Fri 8:30 to 2:30, but is well worth a visit.

Loved it. Good ingredients make for tasty food. Service with a smile. Had tried to go back the following day, but now know closed at weekends. That's a shame.

Best place in york for take out lunch, great choices and lovely staff.

The menu may not be the most varied in the world, but you can be assured that what you get is first class. Served with a smile and atmosphere to be proud of. Well worth a visit and tried and tested for years. Whilst they do not shout it from the rooftops the coffee is pretty good too.

Cosy, friendly feel and a decent all-day-breakfast at £5.50. Plenty of cooking going on and seemingly popular with locals dropping in. Off the beaten track. Relaxing.

Dropped in here 2 days in a row recently for toast and bacon roll. Real butter on yer toast and good quality bacon and bread all served with a friendly smile and chat with the 2 girls that work here also very inexpensive... Whats not to like?
