Always a lovely time at Angel on the Green! The staff were as friendly and helpful as usual and the food nothing less than marvellous. The new bagel/ brunch menu is worth going for as it never disappoints and when visiting again in the evening, while a bit more lively, did not fall short in terms of service and quality. Cannot recommend this spot enough :)

The cheese-flavored scones are really delicious. Not only are they rich in flavor, but they also have a solid texture with a bit of smoothness, so your mouth won’t feel dry after eating!

Good range of tasty food choices to suit all dietary requirements, friendly staff and speedy service. What more could you need for a breakfast and/or lunch option.

The Sun Inn is a traditional multi roomed pub. There is a wide range of beers, Lager and cider, including a cask conditioned real ale, which was in excellent condition on my visit. The landlord is very friendly and welcoming. There's a dart board and TVs showing Sport. This dog friendly cosy pub opposite the Green is definitely worth a visit.

Lovely friendly pit stop on a walk from York and back. Oh, and the chocolate fudge cake was excellent! Highly recommend calling in to support them.

Dog friendly,relaxed and friendly place. Staff are helpful. Yet to eat here but the menu looks good. Nice italian beer on draft and good coffee! Thank you we will be back ☺️

If there was a joke about bistros,cafes etc this place would be at the top of the list! When he is open there’s nothing in the fridge other than his weekly shop at kwik save,!you can only order whats boil in the bag !or what he has left from the weekly shop.when he’s finished his 6th desperado this joker will (puff pasty anything slapped on £10)get you the biggest bill,he can’t cook he can’t drink ! And he can’t ride a bloody bike 😳😊🤣👍

terrible service, made me and my girlfriend very ill and the food was greasy and disgusting, would not recommend. go to pizza california down the road or if ur up for a real journey, go to goodfathers in salford greater manchester.

Absolutely lovely staff and an amazing selection of cocktails, maybe a tad expensive though

Location of this hotel is amazing right next to the train station. So this is 5 stars the staff are polite and kind wanting to help with anything. The downside for me is that the room was cold we did have a heater in the room. The beds are not that comfy and they move. The breakfast don’t pay extra for it. Cold coffee from large pots and basic breakfast was not what I expected for the price.
