Passed many times on journeys but first time visit. Hungry Horse outlet and hotel in large building. Food excellent today, took advantage of Tuesday £9 mix-it-up offer of cheese and jalapeño sausage sizzler, onion rings and fries with Frank's red-hot sauce. Very unusual and interesting breakfast items too. No hand pulled ales and apparently no longer going to have but decent Greene King pale from font. Pleasant and friendly staff. Some customers looked like Emmerdale extras ☺ Blue Light discount card can be used...

2nd visit for lunch. 1st visit I had the butter chicken baked potato. This time I tried a sandwich. Hard to choose but went for the ham hock cheese and pickle. Bread super soft, ham good qualify and plenty of filling. Came with fries which were very hot and crispy. Quick and friendly service. Will definitely be going back to try something else. Can't rate this place high enough.

The room was excellent, the bed was so comfortable! The room was clean with plenty of tea and coffee supplies provided. The check in process was easy and every member of staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and very good quality, as a tea drinker I loved that there was a large variety of teas available. I would 100% stay again, next time we will be trying one of the theme or tribute nights.

We’ve come here previously for a roast when been visiting family, but pleasantly surprised since our last trip to find they now have a Thai restaurant. The Thai bit is a separate part of the pub we sat in, unsure if you can order it and still sit in the main pub or not. The food was really authentic and up there with some of the best Thai food we have had! Mixed starter was a good option, with really fragrant fish cakes. We had someone in our party with an allergy and they handled that really well with clear details on allergens in foods and what to avoid. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

We were staying at Rogerthorpe Manor so had lunch and evening meal here. Lunchtime we had lasagna and prawn and crayfish salad and it was really good and large helping. Tried the pork scratchings served at the bar too and they were amazing. Sat outside in the sunshine, absolutely perfect.Evening meal we had the salmon and peppers and the pork belly, all cooked to perfection we cleaned the plates and too full for dessert. Lovely friendly staff made our day!

The tea rooms are in a stunning location and make a great destination for a walk. We walked up from the car park in Lynmouth, it's a about 2 miles along the path. The walk was lovely along side the river which is a fast flowing stream. The path is challenging in places and a little rugid. But having a great destination drives you on. Great staff and good food. One highlight was seeing a Dipper (a small rare bird).
