We was served by Abi. Very polite and friendly. The Manager Emma was so Nice. We was made to feel really welcome. The food was excellent as always. Can't recommend the place enough.

Salt and pepper chicken might aswell of been mcdonalds chicken nuggets very little salt anf pepper flavouring etc. curry sauce was more like chicken gravy, and the prawn toast looked as if it had been previously fried in old oil and then re heated in the microwave with a rubbery fishy taste and smell. Definitely not fresh! Lastly the Prawn cracker tasted rank with the old oil they were cooked in. Salt and pepper x1 Egg fried rice x1 Prawn toast x1 Chicken and sweetcorn soup x1 Prawn cracker x1 Total £33.80 And too top it off I have violent diarrhoea this morning. Definitely not worth the money. Probably the worst chinese in Wakefield Will never be returning.

Taken over by new owners took them over an hour to do a mix grill over charged for the food and when I got home the mix grill was food left over reheated on the grill to make it look fresh and the naans were not fresh either left over reheated naans were given will never be ordering from there again what a disgrace how do people think they can run a business the lady that worked there was just adding on prices like we were stupid that we didn't knw anything about the price of food these days mama keep the food for yourself I'm not interested and I'm not stupid that I don't knw the price of fish . Disgraceful

Sadly the food was cold and the pizza was deep pan. Not the best we’ve had.

Pancake rolls were spicy which I’ve never experienced at any Chinese restaurant or takeaway. The special black bean was reminiscent of slurry, very thick and sparse of meat and prawns. Delivery driver was rude stating “ I want payment first cause I don’t know you and you could run off with it and if you don’t pay I don’t get paid “. Used wonderful for years and recommended to others but very disappointed!!

Bought a small salt and pepper box meal £13.50 . Disgusting the ribs were all Grissel and bone, dry absolutely awful, the fried rice inedible pathetic pieces of pork and chicken in soggy batter. The box was full of chips don't waste your money.

We were a party of 8 celebrating an Engagement & 30th Birthday and were welcomed by friendly helpful staff. The drinks were reasonable, the food was good and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had a lovely evening and will definitely go back again.

Excellent food service and menu options. Delicious food and very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Good vegetarian and vegan options available.

Great Food under New management now

The chicken tower burger amazing I honestly didn't no I could get chicken burger that good in Castleford the chicken just pulled apart melted in mouth batter just so crispy flavours was amazing. Definitely be going again bad boy chicken burger big up the chef.

Just had our first kebab from here. Food is absolutely gorgeous, so tasty. 😋 Will definitely be back x

We went to the catchpenny on the 21st of July for my wife's 60th birthday altogether there was 20 of us we all had a different variety of meals including Sunday roast fish&chips pie and mash some had starters as well and I have to say we weren't disappointed the food was lovely and the staff bless them couldn't do enough for us all I had taken some banners and balloons in prior to us arriving and they had decorated the part of the room where we were all sat. Thank you for helping to make Julie's big day very pleasant. Clive and Julie Brewins

Waited over a hour when food did turn up the chips were soggy and horrible the onion rings was like the ones you get from iceland they was all soggy and disgusting and had the cheek to charge £2.60 for about 7 of them. Won't be ordering from here again total garbage it went in the bin
