Pretty basic Takeaway food, if you like your run-of-the-mill takeaway food, this won't disappoint.
This is no YOH Burger, but then again YOH is incredibly pricey
Passed by here many times before but as the main part seemed a little run down we hadn't given it a second thought. This time however, We were in need of a break as our journey had been fraught with heavy traffic so we pulled in and were so glad that we did. A very pleasant refreshment stop, with helpful, friendly and smiling staff meant that we stayed a little longer than intended. We shall definitely call in again when travelling this route.
A very dated place, but a great place if you like listening to the staff bitch about homeless people and how the police don’t do anything about them. “Go get a bloody job, and work like I’ve had to do all my life”. All whilst sitting in the customers dining area! Now don’t get me wrong, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there is a time and place, and this wasn’t it. Go to jollies or the last bank over the road. Coffee was nice though.
We ordered from here both me and my partner also out young daughter have all got bad food poisoning we have all been throwing up since do your self a favour and do not eat here the first time from here was ok food wasn't the best neither the worst this time food wasn't good and we know about it even 2 days on still being sick
Absolutely disgusting, I ordered salt n Peper chicken, bit into a piece and it was stretchy and stringy (like a kid stretching chewing gum) I thought maybe a bit a fat so tried another it was the same, tried every piece all the same, the curry sauce was far too thick that u could probably stand a spoon straight up in the pot,egg freid rice contained no egg and the rice hard, fried noodles were sticky and the crispy veg rolls were floppy never even seen crispy.will never order from here ever again and word of mouth is the best advertisement ! UTTERLY VILE !
Service at the bar was quick
Food arrived quick
Enjoyed every bit of meal
Was not over busy as it was thursday
So more relaxed. Been quiet a few times as we live local
Will be returning
We both had a southern style chicken burger sandwich with fries and salad with home made coleslaw which was lovely , could not fault anything on the plate , 10/10 and cooked beautifully with fabulous service , and the presentation was also excellent, not forgetting a lovely fresh bean coffee , will most definitely call here again .
I visit regularly with my family. The staff are always very good and the place has a great feel about it. Martin the manager is excellent, professional and friendly. My last visit to Pontefract was during the Christmas period, we sat inside. It was really very busy, the queue was out of the door. Martin and a young man were serving. As I watched the customers were constant Martin and his colleague didn’t get a moment or breather in the whole time my family and myself sat inside. New customers just kept on joining the queue. Despite the constant customers and serving they both maintained a pleasant customer service, smiling and speaking nicely to customers. As Martin was serving me the customer next to me was ordering the same pasties as me with the young man. Martin said to his colleague I’ll get those pasties and you sort the drinks. Great team work and nice to see. Keep up the great work!
Stay away from Nanking Chinese Takeaway! They charged me for an order I never received and then denied me a refund. It's unacceptable to take money for something you never deliver. Extremely disappointed and will never order from them
Just had Sunday lunch. Was highly delighted with it.Good value for money.Pleasant staff .The yorkshire puddings were the nicest i have had in years. Will be back soon.
