Service at the bar was quick Food arrived quick Enjoyed every bit of meal Was not over busy as it was thursday So more relaxed. Been quiet a few times as we live local Will be returning

A few weeks ago I wrote a review suggesting that you’d dropped the ball & were slowly deteriorating. Unfortunately that review never seemed to make it onto the trip advisor reviews. However I ate here today as I tend to do every Sunday & I’m glad to see that things have improved. Your ultimate combo lives up to its name now & warrants being a sharer. Worth its money. I found out today that take out cups for drinks is due to being busy. Which I get. I’ve worked in hospitality & understand this. A much better visit. Keep up the good work.

After visiting for food through the week I experienced a poor service of hospitality. We ordered starters through the app with our drinks. They came around the same time and we were sat without drinks for a good 5 minutes once we had placed our order. Once we had finished our starters we placed the plates at the end of the table to be collected. Then placing an order for food we was still left with the starter plates on our table, even when we ordered our food though a member of staff so they were able to see the empty plates on the table. We were then served with our meals and only then we’re the starter plates taken away. After ordering more drinks the glasses were not collected from the table, leaving hardly no room on the table. At no point did anybody ask if our meals were fine and if we needed any other condiments. The empty glasses were still present on the table when we left while the staff members were stood around talking and not clearing the tables. This was more of a problem because the pub was quiet for the duration we was in the pub, the staff members were all stood around talking and leaving messy tables once other costumers had left.

Myself and my husband visited Stanley Ferry, both meals were amazing... Thanks to the chef. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and it is very organised. We felt safe and cleanliness is 100%. Covid guidelines are adheared to at all times. Thanks so much to the staff for such a pleasent experience.

Went for a meal out with the family , been here a few times before without the covid restrictions in place . Today ( Tue 4th August ) was a very pleasant experience with thanks to the brilliant hostess on the door welcoming us . The food was excellent , no complaints at all . The combination of a friendly welcome ( didn't get her name but deserves recognition ) and excellent produce from the kitchen means we will return very soon . Would have been a 5 star review had it not been for the decor which looks like it needs a lick of paint here and there . Keep up the good work .

Went there on New Year’s Day,for family meal.the staff were very friendly,when ordering there was a mix up as the member of staff did not listen to our requirements.This was rectified after the wrong meal was brought out,I would suggest that if you are there stay away from the meat pie,the crust was as hard as concrete and the meat content was so poor and full of gristle.

Ordered chicken wrap and all the chicken was all over the place not in the wrap & it was all slimey like it hadn’t been cooked properly & my glass was filthy.

Fantastic food, warm and friendly staff made a great evening. No extra waiting for food even though pretty full. Thanks so much. :)

Arrived at 5.30 found our own table, checked the menu then took order to the bar to place and pay. I ordered a southern fried chicken fillet burger, this arrived served with fries, no side salad or any garnish, the chicken itself was tasty enough but the coating was over cooked and like concrete. I did inform our waiter but no comment was made by him. My husband also ordered a ipa beer at table was shocked by the cost at over £4.50 a pint. Pleasant enough visit but will not rush to return

Good food, reasonably priced, and nice views of canal and narrow boats while eating your meal, good variety of meals and drinks and child friendly

Enjoyed a family meal at Ferry Boat for my son's 18th Birthday and we weren't disappointed!! Great food at affordable prices.

The staff here were so friendly and couldnt do enough for you. The food was fantastic. So much so that even the kids cleared their plate. My burger and steak were cooked to perfection and the portions were more than enough without being over the top. We will definately be coming back and would recommend everyone try it at least once. As an added extra for us. The kids loved the wacky warehouse too. Which also was priced fairly. A great time had by all 10/10 from me

Called in for Sunday lunch. It had been some time since we had been, unfortunately the standard of the food has deteriorated greatly. Veg soggy, mash dry and powdery, frozen roastie, a yorkie that was like leather, the beef was dry and very tasteless. The meal overall was completely tasteless and very disappointing. We will not be going back.

We called today after a family walk out. The bar man Lewis was really friendly at the bar and helpful. Food was just a sharing snack but delivered promptly by Emily-again friendly and welcoming. Definitely to place to go for a nice drink and snack in the sunshine!

Another fantastic meal last night for my hubby’s birthday. Never had a bad meal, excellent value for money. Staff are always so obliging (especially the lovely Gaynor). Such a wide choice on the menu, always spoilt for choice. Absolutely love it, already looking forward to our next visit.

Called in to The Stanley Ferry for a drink during a club Mountain Bike ride. We've done this many times over the years at various pubs and never had a welcome like the one extended to us by Kevin (the manager).

Arrived mid afternoon to not be greeted at the appointed places and had to make our own way to the bar. The staff didn’t seem interested and looked to be doing everything else but helping or serving customers. The unpolite manner in which I believe the manager, Kevin to have dealt with me left a unfruitful taste in my mouth. We left shortly after due to not feeling welcome, that our presence there was in needed and 8 shall not be returning.

called here for lunch, great spot, veryclean and pleasantly surprised, great chill out place, kids love it as it right by the cannal, with swans and ducks and boats going by

Fuimos allí como el nuevo menú es realmente bonita y un jueves, con el gran platos te dan un entrante.

Una experiencia fantástica. Comimos fuera todo el tiempo, y pensamos que por 15 libras puede que no sea lo que estamos acostumbrados. La comida estaba muy buena y el camarero era muy servicial y amable. No puedo recomendar lo suficiente y el camarero se merece una ventaja para todos su duro trabajo, a pesar de un período tan lleno.

Third time here in last few weeks , went especially for roast beef in Yorkshire pudding already had it once and enjoyed it , so went back for it again with my wife she had it as well it was Saturday afternoon and fairly busy first thing I would like to point out is there staff who serve you aren't very good there really slow so a que of 3 people in front of me was nearly half hour and I've learned through my own experience to take a menu with you and point out your meals or they will probably get it wrong in there favour any when it came the waiting service is good so I asked for some more gravy because there's not enough, they do it no problem my wife didn't enjoy it at all for me the chips were ok but not many that suites me though but the Yorkshire pudding wasn't same as what I had before not very nice and roast beef was boil in a bag not the same as before you got plenty but awful so wether they had run out of the proper stuff who knows can see me going back again but you never know

Gran edificio con un montón de espacio en un entorno encantador junto al canal, pero que se detiene allí. El personal es patética todos los niños pequeños sin habilidades de atención al cliente y la comida es horrible y te recuerda de hervir en la bolsa". Si te gusta infantil redonda corriendo todo el tiempo, este es el lugar para ti!!

No hemos estado en el Ferry en muchos años y decidimos llamar a almorzar el otro día.

Es una excelente comida y buen servicio y siempre lleno de clientes es 2 por 10 así que es perfeccionado para mí y mi hermana para la cena.

A bit disappointed with our food after a long wait for it to arrive. Ordered the Chilli Hot Dog which sounded amazing but it was not as exciting as I expected, the hot chilli was just a sauce on the side and the sausage wasn't as good as Ikeas!
