Friendly staff and nice environment. Food was good and reasonably priced. All of the meat was really well seasoned which added to the great taste.

Checked on website to make sure Wacky Warehouse was open but when we got there it was closed for maintenance. So annoying.

My first and last visit. Ordered the beef dinner. When it arrived it was dry,the beef was tough and the mash was clumpy. Not enough gravy. Very disappointed.

3.30 on Tuesday 1 0ct 2024. Would have give it less if I could, only ordered drinks and ice cream on. the app for my grandaughter. Ice cream came, and was finished. Still no drinks. Went to the bar, no apology for the wait, I was gob smacked when the waitress asked sarcastically if I wanted the drinks!

Lunchtime can't fault the staff,pleasant welcoming,fast service food was really good had mini mixed grill.A+++++++++

"Large" - Half your drink missing for an over-price £3.20!! 🤯 It's post-mix, you're ripping off customers to save nothing! Literally the the most inexpensive commodity on a bar!🤦‍♂️🙄 **Response to the below** On no planet is 16oz a "large" for £3.20, it's not even a bottle's worth (500ml). Also, nowhere states "16oz", so stating this retrospectively is blatantly misleading. Trying to gaslight consumers who call this out is deplorable. You know you're being dishonest, as do your customers when you serve them this ridiculous nonsense. Get some integrity and objectively assess what you are doing, no one is okay with this out-of-touch and consistently disappointing policy. Even your staff's response of "Oh we know it's terrible, but that's all we're allowed to give." If you believe there's 16 measly ounces in that glass, you need to go to SpecSavers! You're either delusional or dishonest!

Well worth the visit next to a canel with a boat yard and a nice walk down by the canel food is above average and the drinks are spot on lots of offers on through the week

Just popped for a pint Guinness was under a fiver . Good for cyclists or walkers . Good indoor or out door menu looked good .

Excellent value for money with their special offers! We both had the very tasty Chicken Tikka Masala with rice, a popadom and mango chutney. It was only £6 each. We paid an extra £1.99 for a naan to share, but the portions were ample without it. We considered ordering dessert but decided we were too full!

As usual great food & large portions except……only marked down because the Baked Alaskas we ordered were good but the portions were minute, very surprised

We eat here regularly and tonight's meals were particularly delicious. I had southern fried chicken burger meal and my partner had an 11oz steak which was cooked to perfection! Prices paid for both meals were exceptionally good value too! Parking is good and plenty of tables outdoors for those who like to eat/drink al fresco.

Used to be able to buy a whole variety of food on a Saturday. Now only the Saturday special and breakfast. What can I have as a vegan from your menu? Using discount codes have been discontinued in a way so if something is already in a deal no discount available. Why not ? It's worked for so long why change it? Tried ordering a fish less wrap to be told we only do them Monday to Friday, yet couple opposite are having fish and chips and chicken new yorker which is on the pub classic menu. Staff don't know what they are selling anymore so complicated and a waste of time. Please clean the entrance to the pub. Spiders and cob webs put you off as you enter.

Came with my partner and my kids and the food was lovely we all enjoyed it!

Nice all day breakfast however for the price there could have been toast included.

Not been for ages, but must say the food was amazing we had the 241 burgers and they were excellent staff were great too well done everyone involved

Monday evening myself and family went to enjoy a nice meal. The place was dead at 6pm food ordered not a problem food came to the table garlic ciabatta was replaced with 3 pieces of cheap baguette. Adult Chicken tikka curry served in a silver curry bowl no more than 1/3 full of dry chicken and maybe a spoonful of sauce and the was a portion big enough for a 1 year old child to be told thats the portions they get bought in. Got told to order something else or be refunded so opted for a refund on that 1 meal. Everything on the Mixed grill was dry and the sausage still white. Not great food when your spending £60+. Second time this has happened in the space of a month, place used to be lovely gone really downhill lately.

The food was exceptional and the service staff have been some of the best in town. 10/10 would recommend

Spent some time here on a Saturday afternoon. Lovely pub at the side of the canal but sadly no atmosphere. The queues for food and drinks is madness as only one member of staff behind the bar.

Sat outside in the sunshine, so lovely atmosphere. Had the special Lamb Kofta flatbread which was delicious. Would definitely have it again.

Had a nice lovely walk down sat down at side of canal.

Been about 4 times recently and been great each time. Food consistent and not waiting long.

Great value 2 for £12.99 menu. Recommend the steak and ale pie, just had to request a bit more gravey which they brought straight away.

10 minute wait to order a drink when the pub wasn't even particularly busy (5.30pm on a Bank Holiday Monday). When we did get served the barman didn't apologise for the wait but did smile for some reason when he told me they had no ales on. Gents toilets had a strong smell of urine and a non working lock on the cubicle I tried to use. One soap dispenser was empty, the other had soap but was coming loose off the wall. Nearby sign said the pub aim for the highest standards of cleanliness. They clearly need to improve that aim and also focus the same aim on serving customers quicker. All in all a shame, as the location next to the canal is very pretty.

Stopped for a drink after a walk. Nice outside area.

Ordered the gammon,chips,onion rings,peas,egg,pineapple.It arrived stone cold on a freezing cold plate. Waitress offered to take it back but was reluctant to do so.This is not the first time the food is cold.we come here quite often but having second thoughts now

I’m really disappointed with food and service tonight. I ordered my food at 6pm and we didn’t receive it until 7:20pm it wasn’t as busy as it normally is. I order a drink through the app and it took 25 mins to come to the table. The food when it came was not fully cooked and in parts some missing. This is not the first time this has happed but we thought we would try again as it was a little busy when we last went. I think it will be a while before we revisit

Food not great, way too much ice in the drinks, I wonder why this is! No napkins etc on the table had to go walking to get what was needed. My son was on the toilet for over an hour when we got home! Won’t be returning in hurry

Came here for the Friday 2 for 1 burger deal. We opted for the Korean BBQ chicken burger and the Chilli Cheeseburger. Both delicious with lovely crispy fries and onion rings. Excellent value! There are different offers every day so we will definitely be back. Plenty of outdoor seating for a nice sunny day and indoor and outdoor play areas for kids.

Great family pub with loads of space and a lovely walk to get to.

We come up once a month, the stand is what you expect for pub grub. Staff friendly. Unable to deal with allergies would be my only negative comment.

I had the lamb kofta wraps, absolutely delicious. I do believe these are new to the menu and you need to keep them on. Filling, tasty and value for money Will be having these again. Well done!

Been left a silly review card after our starter. Been waiting over an hour for the mains and still waiting. It's not even that busy . Service is appalling.. Edit food just arrived. Not the same as it used to be katsu banquet is cheap rock hard nuggets now . Specifically asked for chips and you guessed it ... we got fries . Waste of time . Edit . A server came over and dumped another review card on top of the existing one both identical. Wow

Been Coming here for many years has changed but still love coming here. Food not as good that I bought today. but maybe different chef :/ staff lovely as always!! bring back halloumi sandwich, lovely environment and so feel at home very comfortable environment even if it’s a drink and that’s it. Had a lovely meal here, kids also enjoyed their food. Mixed grill is always nice, burgers are good and they have just added some new items to the menu which are very nice. Would recommend for value for money and great service.

Every time we visset there seems to be some problem, this time we had to wait over a hour after our daughter had eaten before our mains where brought out n that was only after I had to go ask the lady on the desk, she didn't seem top impressed that I approached her but we were tired of waiting! When it came my dish had definitely bin sat under some sort of heater, cheese had gone hard n chicken was almost unchewable until I'd cut the top layer off! Shame as we love the place but will probably just come for drinks and views in future.

The food was lovely but we sat outside and the table we sat at had a split in the top that ruined my polo top it has a really nasty snags pulled So if you sit outside please be aware of this hazard Been back and sat at the same table nothing has been done to rectify the table top it only needs to be sanded where a knot has dropped out

Lovely meal n lovely surroundings

We do local breakfasts quite a lot. I personally find this to be the tastiest breakfast. Especially the bacon and the butter!! On today's visit, I saw several additions to the breakfast menu. Tough decision! But I accepted not getting any bacon or toast and trying the Waffels benedict. I was not disappointed at all! It was full of flavours and perfectly cooked. We were served by Sam, who was very pleasant and helpful. Ps. I pinched a bite of bacon and slice of toast off husbands plate.

Lit up all the stars on this one. We were served by Sam, who was bright and cheerful. We shared a few jokes with her which she took in good humour. Food was great as always, place is clean and tidy with staff milling around doing all the jobs that keep the place running smoothly. Well done all of you. Highly recommended.

Went for food today 31/07/24 school holidays so used the play area after the lady in there brown hair glasses was amazing with my children such a lovely lady she got games on the go and made a big effort she was on her own but she still went out of her way to make the play session even more fun would come back just because of the lady in soft play.

Always really enjoy this spot on place.food excellent and staff first class.the location is great alongside the river and marina.the walk along the towpath seeing all the barges and houseboats is something else great place great food and a lovley walk after.love this place

Staff not aware of the deals. When asking for deal of the day end up spending much more if a deal would have been explained or presented as I complaint that is much more one way. In the end when I sat in the table there were a deal with more meals and less expensive. Very disappointed. Don't feel pressurised with the queue , take your time and read the entire menu if needed. Staff should present new deals to costumers when purchasing food and drinks.

We had the steak sizzler which should come with peppercorn sauce already on the plate. I asked if it could be served separate and that was not a problem. They also were happy to cook one of our steaks blue which some places won't do. Both our meals were delicious.

We come here often to eat and find the menu good and prices reasonable. Staff are accommodating and hardworking.

Overall a good family pub but not really a friends meets friends pub

We come to the Stanley ferry a lot but I’ve no idea what’s happened recently. Came for a meal on Friday 26th Aug. I ordered the smoking jack burger and opted to pay extra for salt and pepper chips. Burger came out with no side salad and normal chips. Questioned the waitress and was given a small bowl of dust and told that I needed to spread it over the chips. Absolutely disgusting. Food has gone massively downhill. Won’t be coming back.
