Stay away from Nanking Chinese Takeaway! They charged me for an order I never received and then denied me a refund. It's unacceptable to take money for something you never deliver. Extremely disappointed and will never order from them

Since moving to Castleford, I've tried a bunch of Chinese takeaways in town, but none of them come close to Nanking. We've ordered from Nanking at least 8 times now using the Foodhub app, and every single dish has been great. Yeah, it might be a bit pricier than some other places, but you get what you pay for – huge portions and often they even throw in some freebies like a bag of spring rolls and drinks (and of course, prawn crackers), which is a really nice touch. The salt & chilli chips are amazing – they're super crispy, fresh, and packed with flavour. Plus, the portions are really generous. And the food always arrives quickly and piping hot. One tiny downside is that some dishes, like the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, don't come with any veggies. I know some people might actually like that because you just get loads of chicken and no filler, but I personally prefer having some onion, pepper or pineapple in there. Still, you can always choose to add 'extra veg' when you order, so it's not really a big deal. Another thing I really like about Nanking is the variety of noodles they offer, like crispy, dry, saucy and thick options – you don't get that kind of choice in most takeaways. So, if you're in Castleford and looking for a top-notch Chinese takeaway, you've gotta try Nanking – trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Disgusting food , avoid at all costs . I really wish we had of read the reviews. Awful tasteless waste of money. The delivery drivers were something else . Do not use this place. All bland food

Received and found an hair in our food. When I phoned to tell them I was asked, why type of hair a mans or womans? What colour was it? STUNNED.....we are in a pandemic and wanted an autopsy

We order from here on a regular basis, the food is always delivered fast and comes still hot. Really tasty and enjoyable. Portion sizes are very reasonable. I woukd reccommend to others that love chinese food.

Just had an order from Nanking Chinese. They did the order incorrect then blamed us, the Chinese lady on the phone was so rude and then put the phone down on us. Won't be going again rice was hard and disgusting may as well of been raw. Don't eat from here go to oriental delight if your in cas and if not lucky house knottingley. Because that business shouldn't even be running. Such poor customer service and communication skills. Not great food. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

We always get the banquet for two, as we like it all and they don’t mind changing the spare ribs, part of the set menu fo chow main or chops hey, which we really enjoy. The young girls behind the counter are friendly and try their best to get your order right. The banquetin general has good helpings and good value for money dishes.

Great Chinese! Food is top quality and wouldn’t go anywhere else. The curry sauce is to die for! Recommended to anyone in the area.

The reason we chose Nanking was because our local Chinese was closed. So glad it was. Nanking has to be the best Chinese I have ever had, especially local to Pontefract and 5towns. I ordered, thinking, it is what it is. Oh my days, it was hot, the food was hot, you don't get that these days with any takeaway, I had to blow on it like a kid, it was fresh, tasty and was that good, we decided to give it another shot, well, the 2nd time was just as delicious as the 1st. VERY IMPRESSED my hubby is a fussy eater, and he loved it. Thanks NANKING

Used to enjoy the food here however recently I feel the quality of the food has decreased, noodles are soggy and chips are undercooked. Shame concidering the usual standard of the food here

Have been using nanking for years .food is allways well cooked and the lady is allways pleasent and allways has a smile .

Read the reviews for this place and thought we'd give it a try. Very disappointed with the meals me and my partner got. My wife didn't enjoy her Singapore fried rice and the pork satay I ordered was barely edible. Far better options for a Chinese in castleford. Won't be going here again.

Been going here for years and i have yet to be dissapointed. Lovely food, always delivered fast and the price for the size of the portions is superb.

Best Chinese takeaway we have ever had. Very tasty and not too greasy, I'm not a big Chinese food fan but just been converted. Very polite and helpful. Will definitely be recommending it to family and friends.

Found this place by accident just beyond XScape and its a shame that more people don't know about this place. The food was tasty and very reasonably priced. Parking is a nightmare as is access. But well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Nanking has been in Castleford for many years and deservedly so. Nan king is my go to Chinese takeaway !

Eat from here once a week the food is always nice and the deliverys are always fast. They have some amazing meal deals as well x

I admit I haven't been here for a while, but it is my go to Chinese whenever I'm back in Cas. Duck in plumb sauce, chips and noodles with a can of Coca-Cola. Can't beat it.

We've tried a few chinese takeaways over the years in Castleford and this has been consistently the nicest. Generally prompt and friendly delivery, nice food that tastes fresh and a good menu selection. Rarely use anyone else for chinese takeaway.

Wonderful Chinese at a reasonable price! Love the combo boxes they do and the chicken chow mein, pretty much my staple go to for Chinese, highly recommended : )

Average quality chinese takeaway nothing kind blowing but enjoyable. Nice generous value for money portions. Ordered far too much on occasions as forgot how big the portions are, manged to eat it all regardless!

my husband and i love the food from here. we always order cantonese sweet and sour chicken and sweet chilli beef. really tasty and plenty of sauce with it.
