Just had Sunday lunch.Was highly delighted with it.Good value for money.Pleasant staff .The yorkshire puddings were the nicest i have had in years.Will be back soon.

Called in with some family members. Quickly found a table. Menu for breakfast was usual affair but no option of fruit/yogurt. Full english was offered in two portion sizes. All food came promptly and was of a good standard. waitress was attentive. For a cost of £1.95 you can have unlimited coffee/tea when you order the full english.

We took some clients for some lunch midweek It was busy and food was good Service was friendly as always Enjoyed by everyone

The food was ok but just ok. I think that horbury needs another restaurant to compete with this. It have a few good Italian and Indian but this is the only of its kind.

Always enjoy our night out at 42. Particularly like the steak cooked to perfection (ta Chris) . Nice cocktails and friendly atmosphere.

Even though we rang ahead and gave them the heads up we had 2 vegans in our party ( celebrating family meal ) we were left with a cobbled together mediocre meal for our vegan nieces , " the chef had forgot " spoilt the whole meal as it then become " what will our nieces eat " absolute rubbish and if they couldn't accommodate the different diets then they should have said instead of " getting us in and paying " disgusting won't be going back

This was the place to come for a nice good meal in Horbury. However, the several times that I have popped in recently over the last year (at different times). I have been told "We're not serving until XYZ time" for it to only state on the board on the street serving between the times stated when I have called in. That or times when we have been told we will need to wait an hour for a table when there were several tables obviously available with no one seated at them. It's just these things that need to be addressed because you can't treat customers like this as you're going to lose more business.

Went for my son's birthday, lovely decor and friendly staff. Our food was excellent, good value for money I would definitely recommend Bistro 42.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends, great service and value for money. Not been for a long time and was pleasantly surprised. Really enjoyed the food and sitting in the sunshine was an added bonus. Would recommend

I went in here with family on Sunday afternoon for drinks. You don't have to be a diner to go into the bar and its quite a chilled atmosphere.

Lovely welcoming staff! Great tapas and good prices too. Will defiantly be going back again very soon.

We come here every year for our Christmas night out with our Ossett friends and it's always a really good night. Food is good quality , service is great , price is always very reasonable. Genuinely feel very fortunate that we have bar 42 in both Ossett and Horbury. We eat quite often at the Ossett restaurant but tend to have a change at Christmas and come to Horbury. Good honest food. I like the beer and that it's busy on a Friday and Saturday. The staff could do to be a bit friendlier and the decor is a bit tacky in places but it doesn't stop me from going in.

Had a few meals here and although they have all been nice enough, none of the food was "to die for" I do think the menu is too big and the rowdy bar on a weekend is a bit annoying. That said, as a bar I love it! It has a nice atmosphere and good outdoor area though it is all smoking so not great if you don't smoke.

Very mediocre food very mediocre service and a VERY long wait during a very quiet time! I would hate to be there when it's busy! TOP TIP: try bar biccari.

After saying we would eat here for years we called in.Half the food was hot and half luke warm, not ideal but edible. We were not made to feel welcome if anything we were made to feel a hinderance. The bill arriving was such a relief, we could leave.

We had our wedding dinner here 7years ago and visit regularly. The food is lovely and the staff are all friendly. Love sunday dinners here and you just cant go wrong for value for money.

It's my favourite place. I'm here at least twice a week. Loverly food prepared with care. Friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere.

Had a nice meal, plenty to choose from on the menu, the free starter is a good idea and was really nice, so was the main meal, plenty of drinks choice, staff are polite and welcoming, will be back again soon

A popular place which means booking is advisable. Food is always freshly prepared and cooked to your liking. Menu has recently been changed with more dishes added. Staff friendly and attentive.
