The best restaurants in Ossett Wakefield Yorkshire and The Humber

Have not been here for a while so decided to give it a try. Neither of us was impressed with our meals. Chips were very very greasy. Fish undercooked & watery Place was busy but mostly with drinkers Definitely gone downhill since last visit

Nice pub with a warming stove fire in the wood panel lounge.

Excellent food with polite and friendly staff all in a nice atmosphere I can't recommend them highly enough

Waited over a hour when food did turn up the chips were soggy and horrible the onion rings was like the ones you get from iceland they was all soggy and disgusting and had the cheek to charge £2.60 for about 7 of them. Won't be ordering from here again total garbage it went in the bin

Ripped off with Spam and Mushroom sandwiches. For some reason Mushrooms with Bacon is 20p extra. Get Mushrooms with Spam and it's 90p extra. The Spam could not be thinner and far too small a portion for the T cake it comes in. I asked the staff if the price was right and they said yes. We were charged £9.20 for two Spam and Mushrooms. We could have got 3 Sausage 3 Bacon 2 Spam 2 Eggs Beans Tomatoes Mushrooms and 2 Toast for £8.90. Think they need to look again at their pricing format. It wasn't the money it was the principle.

Ordered 2 fish and got home just 1 total con artists save ur money and phoned and they said I haven't had 2 after billing me shocking stale fish the one we did get no batter hardly can't cook useless

Only just found out this place had opened in what used to be the Star of India (which I used for about 15 years). Thought I'd give it a try - we ordered 3 main dishes, all of which were absolutely delicious, and ready bang on time. I will definitely be going again, and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. This review is of the old Baburchi, now gone.

What a place... Went for my birthday, never had a bottomless brunch before, this being my first experience and loved it. The friendliness of staff, that 'your important to us' certainly shone through. Great choice of drinks, fabulous atmosphere, music, even karaoke. What a wonderful, friendly, homely place, highly recommended. Nothing is too much for the staff who went above and beyond making our visit unforgettable. Food is homemade and delicious. Thank you all. We will be back xx

I've been looking for a decent take away, I'm not easily impressed but just ordered the pentathlon pizza and the Turkish kebab special. I've eaten the food, I'm full, but I' can still smell it and it's making me hungry. Great food

We ordered food at 6.45 and it got delivered at 9pm after making phone call after phone call to chase it up. Once the food arrived I had ordered a parmo but they delivered me a pizza. I rang the restaurant to say they had sent the wrong food to a reply of 'well at least we sent you something' I went mad at this point and got told they would send me anything I wanted and I said I just wanted what I wanted. They then sent what I ordered which was delivered fresh but I will never be ordering from here again due to the rudeness of the staff

Looked to be closed when we went Sat 30th - no sign on door but no lights on.

Well that’s me sold. New curry house favourite. Food was fresh and tasty and ample portions. Excellent.. honestly best curry I’ve had in ages

Sunday 15th July Horrible pub. Had next to no beer. Bar staff so miserable. Disco karaoke 2-8 wot a joke that was. Young end asked to sing wouldn't let them.

Amazing food and real ale from Ossett Brewery. I had chicken thighs and my partner had special chicken parmo. Both came with amazing salad and chunky chips. Will definitely be going again soon.
