Mackie's in Wakefield

Ripped off with Spam and Mushroom sandwiches. For some reason Mushrooms with Bacon is 20p extra. Get Mushrooms with Spam and it's 90p extra. The Spam could not be thinner and far too small a portion for the T cake it comes in. I asked the staff if the price was right and they said yes. We were charged £9.20 for two Spam and Mushrooms. We could have got 3 Sausage 3 Bacon 2 Spam 2 Eggs Beans Tomatoes Mushrooms and 2 Toast for £8.90. Think they need to look again at their pricing format. It wasn't the money it was the principle.

We needed a quick take-away breakfast bap and cuppa as we were tight for time. Speedy service and so friendly. Baps were stuffed full and cooked perfectly

Town centres need more of this type of traditional establishment, in a time when large chains dominate the sector. Nothing on a Saturday morning like the smell of breakfast being cooked. Interior is pretty modern, service was good. Felt welcome in an unfamiliar place. Recommended.
