This little outdoor, self contained set-up is exactly what all transit hubs need. Their hours are suited to travellers needing a jolt. Oh, and they serve proper coffee too!

Came here on a Friday night alone for a quick meal. Ordered the gored gored and a beer. I’ve had Ethiopian food before, and the food here was so tasty with the right level of spice. Special mention to how lovely the staff and customers were here too looking out for a girl eating alone. I felt safe and looked after. One of the friendliest places I’ve ever been and will be coming back.
The only thing you need to be aware of when visiting Memory Lane Tea Room is that it is a cash only establishment.
We hmmade a no hassle booking over the telephone for four adults and one infant.
We received a warm and friendly greeting upon arrival. Our drinks orders were taken and by the time we had chosen our meals they has been served to us at the table.
A very good menu is available. Just when we thought " yes, I'll have that" something else just as appealing caught your eye, then something else, then something else.
The food itself did not disappoint. Generous portions at very reasonable prices. Everyone of us commented on how tasty the food was.
Four adult mains and desserts with drinks and a child's tray £53.35. Far less than we expected. Worthy of another visit in the not too distant future.
This is a very lovely shop. The gentleman that serves me is always so friendly. I adore his shop , its so quirky and makes me smile when ever i visit.
He kept going during covid and it was lovely to keep being a customer.
I do have a few negative comments. I hope this will help to increase his customers. CHIPS!. They are not very good. I think this is because they are not very well cut. They are all sorts or shapes and sizes so you get under cooked and over cooked. Very often they are obviously reheated. They just seem to be randomly cut. The mushy peas are a 50/50 gamble. When they are good they are SUPERB ! but often too much vinegar is added.
I hope he takes this as a suggestion rather than a negative. I will continue to be a regular customer and wish him well,

My first visit here after discovering their food at Glastonbury festival a few years ago. Absolutely lived up to how I remember it. Really good quality Poutine and the staff were lovely and accommodating happily pouring some beautiful craft beers. Highest recommendations to anyone considering getting some scran from here.
