Lemongrass Thai Street Food in Sheffield

beautiful Tom Kha Thai soup😍had to wait for it a bit, but it was well worth the wait!

Not just the best Thai food in Sheffield, but my favourite restaurant full stop. Everyone I take absolutely loves Lemongrass. If I could give more than five stars I would.

Came in to try mango sticky rice. Was very expensive to what I usually pay at zap Thai £5.30- at lemongrass this was £8.99. Very disappointing! Very bland, small portion for the price and the coconut milk wasn’t sweetened or salted and was just plan coconut milk from the tin! Won’t be going back!

The best and most authentic Thai food in Sheffield, I always order the crab red curry when I come here. When they say it’s spicy, they really mean it too. Amazing, friendly staff, love the Portishead t-shirt :)

The Larb Ped Udon from here is one of the most amazing things I have ever eaten. Perfect flavours and spice 👌 I cannot recommend highly enough! Just wish this place was open in the evening.

I had the pork belly bites which is a starter. You get 5 large bites which is plenty. They're covered in a delicious sauce. The man was super friendly and really. Would defo recommend trying here if you're in town.

Here used to be our familiar Thai Food for years. But last time we ordered Thai Green curry with beef, and had to wait such long time. Boring plate with few spoon of white rice at the corner, a little bowl of blank taste curry disapointed us. Moreover, with 13£, portion was small, means too expensive now. They recently up price menu but quality a bit downhill. Same with Thai bubble tea, more expensive than some branded ones in town, and taste was awful.

Asked for no mushrooms on order because of mushroom allergy, order arrived with mushrooms. Edit to reply: I'm referring to the satay tofu dish.

Waited 30+ mins for food, had to go up and ask where its was. They handed me boil in the bag rice on a plate with fatty gross pork on skewers. £8 for that is insulting. Edit: Because you can reply but I can't... You're correcting me over 1p? That's called being pedantic. The rice was literally left in the bag that it had been boiled in, even if it was to 'keep it warm' the presentation is a joke. It wasn't lunch time when I ordered it was after 15:00pm

One of the best Thai food I have had in Sheffield. Their Red Thai curry is really good . Very reasonable prices for the delicious delicacy they serve. One of my favorite food spots in Sheffield for sure.

Such tasty food. The flavours will blow your mind! This has got to be my favourite vegan restaurant in Sheffield. Had the banana blossom fish the other day and it was incredible. The man who brought the dish to us was right, we were blown away. The 'fish' had a crispy batter coating, loads of toppings and a very flavoursome sauce. The portion was massive too! We also got the panang curry with tofu and, gosh, I don't know how they make the curry taste so rich. I liked that they used fried tofu in the curry. The staff are friendly too – the man who brought our food over was so lovely. I am so satisfied every time I come here – it makes me want to try everything on the vegan menu! My only suggestion is to consider using wooden cutlery and avoiding styrofoam.

Ordered takeaway, food was stone cold which probably was Uber eats fault and not that of the restaurant. However, the pad Thai was tasteless, the chicken wings were so extremely greasy they were disgusting. The sauce that came with the wings was not wrapped up so it exploded all over the bag. Would not eat here again.

Gorgeous Thai street food. Best in Sheffield city centre

My partner and I had googled vegan food options before our weekend break to Sheffield and this place was top of our list to visit. We love Thai food but scarcely find veganised authentic dishes beyond a green curry or pad Thai at a franchise. This was wonderfully flavoursome with huge portions on top of complementary snacks and very friendly service. We ordered the chef’s special banana blossom and a mock duck curry with various fruit and Thai basil. Both dishes very delicious. Amongst the best vegan food I’ve eaten. A must visit.

Delicious! Absolutely second to none on flavours, fresh ingredients; friendly service, everything. £10 for veggie Pad Thai curry lunchtime deal. Included curry, rice, 4 prawn crackers, 2 gyoza dumplings and soy sauce dip. I also treated myself to a warm bubble tea for afters. Really recommend this place.

Does not look much outside, but the food and service❤️

This little gem was recommended by some friends. As a lover of Thai food my expectations were incredibly high. This did not disappoint. We ordered satay chicken and fishcake starters. We followed this with chicken phad thai, chicken panang curry and rice. Absolutely fabulous food…. Very authentic …. Tasted amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful with the menu. Well priced for quality and quantity of food. We are from Doncaster so don't visit sheffield often …however ….. we might visit now just for the Thai food.

We ordered 3 items for lunch for 2 people, paying over £34 and it was so insubstantial. I hope you can tell from the photos how little food we got. Absolutely terrible value for money. And it took over an hour and a half for delivery. Flavours were fine, but damn I feel ripped off.

Great all round the curry’s are fantastic!

I ordered Kraprao and I got a super small portion of stir-fried beef. Having been to Thailand three times, I can responsibly say that this Thai food is totally FAKE! Thai tea is brewed with the instant milk powder sold inside the Moor for almost £3 a box. Waited over an hour to order a takeaway, worst experience ever bar none!

what a little gem. kind folks and great food. if you have trouble finding good Thai, look no further. they even have Issan offerings! classic flavors and some hard to get recipes. I am coming back!

I found this food stall when I was in a hurry but needing lunch. The £9.99 lunch special included one main, Prawn crackers and a choice of a starter (gyoza or spring rolls). I chose beef massoman curry with spring rolls, which was served with sweet chilli sauce. Gary was nice and gave me recommendations and also factored in that I was limited in time so the order was ready quite quickly and it was ready for me to takeaway just in case I wasn't able to finish it all sitting down. The curry tasted so good. Some of beef was quite chewy but it really didn't take much away from the taste in my opinion. I'm definitely going to have to come again!

Was in hospital for 5 weeks so everytime my friend visited she treated us to a takeaway. Absolutely delicious and fabulous portions. Great value for money for the quality of food. We went back for more another week! Cheered me up no end stuck in the Royal Hallamshire! Thank you ❤️😍🤤

The crab red curry is the tastiest Thai dish I've ever eaten, spicy, creamy and with the subtle sweetness of crab meat. The satay sauce with the chicken skewers is also fantastic. Lovely and very friendly staff. No photos because everything looked too good to eat right away.

Served me dessert five minutes after I ordered. After eating dessert, I waited for my main dish for an hour. Waited until all the guests have left. I don't know if they forgot my meal. Because i asked them at the end and the waiter didn't find my order but the cook let me wait for 2 more mins. And the durian dessert I ate before, durian was very, very sweet, not normal sweet. After my comment, the attitude of the restaurant was very poor. The manager said it's a dessert so it meant to be sweet. I had durian before, no one was this sweet, which made me feel sick. Is this normal that a dessert makes u sick？

Authentic, lovely papaya salad, would have liked the pork belly with a side sauce as it was deep fried instead of roasted so I should have had it in a saucy dish instead of with the salad, my bad really, pork was super brilliantly cooked though and very well finished) very nice mango and blue sticky rice dessert, missus had the massaman curry and no complaints from her. When the plastic cutlery ban comes in this place will benefit from metal knives and forks. Overall great little eatery in the city centre.

Food is always excellent and well presented. I've had both eat in and takeaway food from Lemongrass and its always been perfectly cooked and hot when it arrives. Sim and her staff are very friendly and helpful when choosing a dish and will cook it in a way that suits if they can. Portion size is huge and very filling. I'd like to try desert but I'm always too full after my main. Cafe is clean tidy and ordering is easy. I keep recommending Lemongrass to my friends at every opportunity.

What an amazing, authentic little restaurant this is! We had the jumbo prawn pad Thai and it was absolutely out of this world. Will be returning without a doubt!

Called today 5th January having been told about lemongrass by a lady in a vegan cafe near Rutland Road, had a takeaway absolute class food and service, the people behind the counter one who I think was the owner gave us advice what to have,(WOW )try it folks or you have missed the best thai food ever, we will return, thanks again frankie and Stella

Best Thai food I have had EVER - That includes any restaurant any take out any street van it is simply the best. Come to Sheffield for this if nothing else. And the staff were really friendly, helpful and just a joy to talk to.

Expensive for what you get spring rolls terrible

The food from here was good, especially the chicken gyoza! The staff were friendly and the service was good. The food was cooked fresh so there was a bit of a wait but it was brought to our table when it was ready.

Absolutely beautiful Thai Green Curry and rice. Very flavoursome. Would definitely recommend. Hot Chocolate might have been an unusual choice to have with it but that was beautiful too. I shall be back for sure.

Unbelievable vegan Thai food. So so so fresh, tasty and authentic. The service is so friendly and worth every single penny. Generous portion sizes and we both leave stuffed! We tried the fully vegan restaurant they opened recently, Mango by Lemongrass, and we were so impressed as usual!

Amazing food, it was fresh and perfectly cooked. The portions are huge and very filling. The food is restaurant quality and there are lots of options to choose from on the menu. I've also had take away from lemongrass before and it was well packed and arrived in perfect condition and hot!

I came to eat at the Mango Thai cafe today with a friend. I did check with the staff - this place has the same owner as the Lemongrass Thai Street Food place that is next door but one. I went for the Chilli bomb tofu with holy basil and my friend for the Vegan pad Thai. This place is completely vegan so we both had a lot of delicious food to choose from but today I fancied something spicy. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, it's definitely somewhere we will be coming back to 🥰 They brought us out some new items from the menu to try as well as our own food which was so kind and we were really grateful for 💖 I would definitely recommend anybody passing The Moor Market in Sheffield City Centre to stop by and try some of this incredible vegan food. Thank you so much for such a lovely experience xx

Had Crispy Pork Belly with Morning Glory. Possibly the best Pork Belly I've had. The flavours were so rich and the dish beautifully presented.

Fantastic meal. The Salt and Pepper Squid was the highlight but all dishes were superb. Service was really friendly and fast. We spent 2 weeks in Thailand recently and can honestly say we didn’t have better food than here.

(Copied over from my instagram) I love Thai food and for ages I was trying to find a great place in Sheffield as although I enjoy making it there’s a time commitment in finding the ingredients and prep. The @themoormarket might not be the first place you think of for Thais food but it should b. Lemongrass Thai Food currently sits number 12 on the @hotfoodsheffield guide to the top 150 places to eat in Sheffield and in my opinion is the best Thai food in Sheffield. I have had takeaway from Lemongrass a few times but yesterday managed to eat in the market. We had a few dishes to share in market and took a couple of curry’s home for tea. We had ribeye steak satay. The beef was coated in a delicious marinade and was super tender. Apparently some people complain that beef is fatty but in my opinion it was perfectly cooked and fat means flavour. We also had the Ped Ma Kham (crispy slices of duck topped with caramelised tamarind sauce and roasted sesame seed served with crispy noodles). The duck@was both crispy and tender and the portion size was massive. Probably my favourite dish. Finally we had Hainanese chicken rice which is a perfect comfort dish as the weather is changing. I particularly enjoyed the pepper kick from the broth. Having had food from Lemongrass a few times before I’m getting the feeling no matter what you order you will have great food. It’s also worth noting they have a big vegan section to the menu which is commendable especially for Thai cuisine.

Been a regular visitor to Lemongrass for a while, Sim and her team never disappoint with the quality of service and the food. The menu is extensive and makes excellent use of UK ingredients whilst maintaining the authenticity of the dishes. Food is spiced to order especially the Papaya salad which is as good as I've tasted outside Thailand! Well worth a detour for some quality food at reasonable prices.

I eat there few times a week, thought it's about time that I write a review. Food is consistently tasty, I have tried quite a few items. Very welcoming and friendly staffs, they would greet you with big smile. Try their duck with holy basil - the best! They also do fantastic Thai tea. Sometimes waiting time can be long, hope they can do something about that. Otherwise, a great place for great food.

I've been coming here for years, the food is absolutely fantastic, all freshly cooked to order, the staff are friendly aswell. I recommend the Tom Yum Soup but being perfectly honest it's all great. A real hidden gem in Sheffield.

Absolutely delicious fresh food. Salmon pad Thai, ribeye satay and the most beautiful coconut ice cream that tastes of Thailand. By far the best Thai food in Yorkshire.
