Lovely! One of the best restaurants in Sheffield, Olive has a friendly, buzzing environment and of course great food! A must!

The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. We enjoyed our anniversary at Olive. It's a 20 minute walk out of the city centre, well worth the visit.

Food and service was first class , beautifully spiced food my wife had the sea bass with squid mussels and prawns in a chilly tomato sauce.i had the chicken tagine.very very good quality.

There is now a lovely area to sit before your meal where you can enjoy a tasty glass of wine, cocktail or beer. The menu has many small plates to choose from. We had calamari, sardines and pumpkin tortellini. Before trying their larger plates of orechiette pasta and the chicken terrine. Everything had great flavour and served quickly. Will definitely be back again to try even more of the menu!!

We arrived on a busy Friday night a bit early for our booking so we had a drink in the new bar before! The new decor is stunning. There is also a new cocktail menu with lots of options- I throughly enjoyed my french martini! The service was really friendly and welcoming and we were taken to our table in the restaurant promptly. We decided to make the most of the new small plates option on the menu by sharing 7 of these between 2 of us with some of the appetiser's. Everything was absolutely amazing, we particularly enjoyed the sardines, king prawns and the arancini. Every dish has so much flavour and they all tasted so fresh and delicious. We also had a tiramisu to share which is by far the best we have both tried. This was my last meal in Sheffield and I am so pleased we spent it at Olive. The service and the food is always above and beyond. Thank you so much to all the amazing staff. 😊

Having visited Olive for a number of years now you are always nervous when they change the menu that the food wont be as good. I didnt need to worry the food was amazing and so much choice . I had the Moroccan Chicken tagine and it was the tastiest dish I have had in a long time, my husband had the Bloody Mary Linguini and said the same. The new decor looks lovely and its great you can now have a drink in the bar first or just pop in for a drink. It was a busy Thursday night and the service was still outstanding. It’s nice to find somewhere during the week that is busy with great atmosphere, fantastic food and excellent service. Highly recommend.

Nice to visit Olive again after the refurbishment. Lots more space including the new bar area and new menu . Seem to be a lot more sharing plates this time and thought large plate menu more limited than before but we shared a crispy calamari small plate for a starter which was very tasty followed by a pasta dish each , both very tasty too and well cooked Staff as nice and friendly as before and service was very good Will definitely go again and recommend

Very good quality and authentic Mediterranean/Moroccan cuisine. We had 6 small plates between two people. A little pricey, but good enough to be worth it on a special occassion. A good wine choice and well made cocktails. The tiramasu was delcious and generous.

Turned up on Saturday for a special meal with friends to find the place shut - another set of people turned up expecting to dine -no explanation. Tried calling the telephone number-no reply. Found somewhere else to dine but took several attempts- got a telephone call explaining what had happened whilst we were in another eaterie at 8.45pm - fully understand things happen but not really acceptable when you turn up at a restaurant and it is closed, you are left stood on the doorstep ringing to ascertain what is going on.

Lovely little restaurant serving Mediterranean food with a Moroccan reach ! I love Moroccan food, and so it was great to discover this place in Sheffield. The Moroccan dishes were perfectly spiced, not too hot. Great presentation top. Efficient and friendly service

Went for a meal here Friday night with girlfriends. Free parking was a bonus. Service was good and the menu was varied. Really enjoyed the meal. Good size portions. Would be better if they did cocktails

We are regular visitors to the Olive , since finding this amazing restaurant we can’t help but to keep going back , we have probably tried between us nearly every dish on the menu, including the fantastic specials available , the restaurant is faultless in every way from the moment you arrive the staff are attentive, welcoming & very knowledgeable & the food is just another level , my Wife has fussy dietary requirements but nothing is any trouble with the chef only to happy to oblige , the fillet steak is the best I’ve ever had & I can’t recommend it enough. We can’t wait for Olives next chapter with the exciting news of the extension incorporating a cocktail bar & small plates we will definitely be back , thank you

Took a client here for a business meeting dinner to celebrate our contract renewal. Restaurant was very friendly and offered great meals. Waiter was helpful in accommodating diet options. Wife enjoyed the drinks menu too.

Absolutely delicious meal. Our first visit but definitely not our last. My wife had a bruschetta starter and a pasta for main, she said both were outstanding. I had the Moroccan meatballs and fillet steak special. The meat was just cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and knwlegeabke about the menu. We will be booking again soon.

Nicely placed restaurant outside of the city centre near Halifax hall. Friendly and cozy atmosphere, very accommodating and authentic. All dishes were superb, Fromm starter choices to mains and desserts. Really highly recommended. We would definitely go again if we lived locally, but we were only visiting family for the weekend.

The Valentine’s Day set menu was a scam. I noticed this after we left the restaurant as I was planning to go back cause I really enjoyed everything that I had tonight. My date night just so happened to be on Valentine’s Day and I picked this restaurant on a whim. I didn’t specifically come here to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The set menu was £65pp. On their website those 3 courses that I had tonight come to a total of £44.40. EDIT (response to owner) : You never sent me any menu. My partner takes care of the reservations and pays the bills. I picked your restaurant on a whim.

Fab restaurant, the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. I had paid a deposit on NYE in error and they honoured it for another time. Very impressed with the service and would definitely go back. Husband said it was one of the best steaks he’d ever had!😃

We phoned on spec at short notice and they were able to fit us in. Really delicious food at a fair price, friendly staff. Definitely worth a repeat visit next time I’m in Sheffield.

Decided on this restaurant as was staying in the area for the weekend. Wasn’t disappointed as the food was superb. Asked the waitress for recommendations for starters and both the halloumi and prawns were excellent. All the food was tasty and cooked to perfection. My partner commented that the panna cotta for desert was the best she had ever tasted.

Perfect! This was recommended to us, and we’d recommend if you are visiting Sheffield. Small cosy place, expert friendly waitresses. Really helpful and attentive. Food was amazing. Son loved it. One of us doesn’t eat meat and the fish was exquisite. Mediterranean flavours and hearty home cooking. Vanilla lavender creme brûlée was sublime. Thanks for a lovely meal and evening! Tip - take cash as they don’t take tips via card.

We visited for my partner’s birthday dinner and whilst it was nice, for all the rave reviews I was expecting a little more. On the positive side the lamb was excellent (which we both had), and desserts (tiramisu and the brownie) were equally good. She very much enjoyed the prawn starter but I found my arancini quite bland and had to ask for additional salt and pepper - which strangely were quickly whisked away again like they didn’t have enough..? Most odd was the side of garlic and chilli greens which I was genuinely surprised by - a mixture of brussel sprouts, broccoli, cabbage and parsnips in a tiny dish. Wouldn’t order again for £5 a go, and the lamb came with just enough sides as it was. Service was very slow to start (30 minutes for starters), but then sped up greatly to the point by the end tables were cleared before the final spoonful had been swallowed and we felt a little rushed. There was also an odd mixture of pleasant traditional background music and early 2000s hits (RHCP 🤘). We did enjoy our meal overall, but not sure we’d return in a hurry.

We had plans outside of Sheffield and had a couple of hours to kill, so we swung by for a pre Xmas meal. The lamb was amazing as it always is, and I tried the panna cotta for desert, which really was something very special. Also, I can't recommend the carrots enough. It might sound weird, but you guys need to try them. :p

My first time in this establishment but would recommend. It’s a cosy environment a little snug but still nice, Happy smiling staff who were excellent, happy to give details of the menu and specials on offer. Good service throughout. We were a table of 7 on a Friday night and could only get in on the second sitting 8:30 it’s Popular/ Busy. The menu is medium sized with a good choice of Starters, Mains and Desserts. There is a pasta section but everything has a Greek twist rather than Italian and it’s better for it. I have a filo/ samosa type thing filled with vegetables and drizzled in Greek yogurt and harissa really nice and a good portion. For main I had 8oz fillet it came with a very small garnish of Rocket and I went for Carrots instead of chips. wow the carrots are amazing. The steak looked well done (I ordered medium) but it was cooked to perfection with a lovely charcoal taste to the outer. The other had a selection of desserts and they all looked good, no complaints from Anyone. I would describe the value for money as good it’s not the cheapest steak in Sheffield but I can’t remember having a better one in the last couple of years. (£31:00 from memory) overall a really nice restaurant.

We had a beautiful meal here last night! My son's 30th birthday and nothing was too much trouble. We dropped banners and balloons off earlier and they had arranged them really nicely for our arrival. We had a selection of cocktails then starters and mains all different, all cooked beautifully and served with a smile! We had a smashing time and will definitely return ☆☆☆☆☆

Had a lovely meal at Olive last night. The food was delightful, and the atmosphere/service was spot on. On a separate note, I left my car keys and the staff waited out of hours the next day for me to collect them - further signs of a proper family business run properly - as shown by a full house on a Wednesday night. We went here for a birthday celebration. The food menu is a cross of Mediterranean with a hint of North African. The menu is relatively small, but all of the food was brilliant throughout, this includes taste, quality and presentation. Quantity is on the smaller side, but is made up for by the other factors and all is reflected in the pricing. Although nothing to complain about, the food was a little slower than expected - but we were a group of 6. Overall a great evening and experience.
