My first visit on the recommendation of my son. I wasn't disappointed. A bustling atmosphere and good level of music. The staff were very good, attentive and friendly. The starters were very generous, enough for three of us to share and the mains were very good. My steak was perfectly good, the fillets of seabass were well cooked with a crispy skin and the fajita platter was hot and sizzling. Good choice of drinks and reasonable prices. I'll definitely go again.

Went on an early Saturday evening for a birthday dinner. Lovely food and service. Would recommend.

We love this place, been going for years. Great food, although I always have the calzone as it’s epic. Friendly staff, spot on.

The usual excellent service. Garlic bread and garlic prawns to share for starters. Both tasty and spicy washed down with a glass of our excellent crisp White House wine. For mains we had one sea bass and one chicken. Excellent vegetables to go with the meal, again washed down with more of our house white. Nice atmosphere and already mentioned great service. I think this restaurant has a lot more than “two friends “

Lovely fresh food, great taste, and can't wait to eat there again.

Been here three or four times as it is just a few minutes walk from us. Think now I've made enough visits to be impressed but as yet I really haven't been. It's ok. The garlic mushrooms are the only course that give me a taste explosion. The decor inside is nice, the staff efficient but after that I'm struggling to find compliments.

We really enjoyed and the prices are so reasonable too! We'll be visiting again and likely to make our local!

Food is very basic and not much flavour, everything was quite salty, we had risotto and a mushroom pizza, staff was very friendly so didn't really complain about food as I would have felt rude. Won't eat here again.

They say twice is a coincidence; three times is a pattern. Well, this is my third visit and it's been excellent each time.

As a family we frequent this place.. the food is amazing, never had a bad one and they are so accommodating.. the staff are lovely and the prices are very reasonable .. 100% recommend this place.. the sorby family 🔥

Such a cute little restaurant. Lots of food availability from both Mexican and Italian culture. I had the fajitas which were perfect, and a really good portion size, I ended up taking some home!!

Very good. The 2 course menu available Mon - Thurs is particularly good value An interesting mix of Italian and Mexican dishes - all freshly made and very tasty. Service is professional and friendly. We enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend

We cannot fault the food or service for Dos Amigos. We are both vegetarian and the food is truly delicious, we were originally concerned that the Italian/Mexican fayre would be odd or not good enough as either cuisine but I'm happy to say we were wrong. In addition, the price we paid and service we received were delightful. We shall definitely be returning!

Lovely hot food, however for £14 I had breast of chicken with cream sauce with bits mushroom and bacon THE CHOICE OF SIDE WAS FRIES OR VEG for that price I thought they could offer fries and veg portion as the veg had potatoes in? Whilst the fries were nice it needed something else like veg. Service great.

Excellent service and food and great restaurant. 7 of us went for my Dad's birthday and all the food was delicious (we had a variety of meals - Burrito, steak, chicken, fish, fajitas & pasta). Great touch that they brought a sombrero and shot drink for my dad and got everyone singing Happy birthday. It was all brilliant - highly recommend.

Come here quite often and never write reviews for any place but you just can’t not for this. The enchilada is absolutely amazing just like the rest of the food! Can’t fault anything and the quality is unbelievable for how the food is priced. Great staff, great atmosphere, very clean and professional!

Not bad, enjoyed it and pretty good food however I have had better Mexicans and Enchiladas. I'd say this is more of an Italian restaurant as there is more Italian choice and the fact that I asked for them to be extra spicy and they weren't spicy at all to be fair but still tasted good. The waitress was very good and the restaurant was clean and tidy. There was a big party in there all shouting over each other and I couldn't even hear myself think... Not their fault but I couldn't wait to get out of there because of this.

We went to this restaurant for a birthday meal and it was absolutely fantastic. There were 20 of us, midweek and we were all having different starters and mains. The food was absolutely delicious, every single member of the group enjoyed their meal! The prices are reasonable but most of all the staff were fantastic. They triple checked our pre-order, make everybody feel welcome and even on a busy evening we did not have to wait long for anything absolutely recommend and will be going again

We booked a table of 8 for a 50th birthday celebration on a Saturday night, our table was the only empty seats but despite how busy it was the staff were very friendly and attentive, the service was prompt and the food was amazing we had a varied range from lasagne ( the best I've ever tasted ) to fillet steak everyone was very happy with the food and the atmosphere, the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday to the birthday girl who wore a sombrero and drank a shot of tequila. It was our first visit but absolutely will not be the last, we had a wonderful time and can't wait to come again, we loved it thank you so much.

What a little gem of a place. We booked for my daughters birthday, first time we have visited. Everyone's food was amazing. Each meal was piping hot, flavoursome, and freshly prepared. The staff were attentative and engaging. The premises were spotlessly clean. This is definitely going to be one of our regular restaurants to visit. We all said we wanted to work our way through the menu as everything looked divine that was being brought out of the kitchen.

Never had a bad meal here & have visited a number of occasions

We eat here quite often, we have introduced other people to it and they have introduced others so I'd say that is a true testament to the overall quality f this place.

Came for valentine's. For some reason all of the meat dishes contain cream, a little variety would be good.. We ordered a bottle of non house Pinot Grigio and was served a bottle of Hardy's house wine (which they took off the bill after I complained, and refused to drink it) . At all seems a bit.. inconsistent. I watched one of the front of house staff, an older male serve someone prosecco by showing them the bottle and letting them taste it before serving.. You let someone taste wine to make sure it hasn't corked, which is impossible with *airtight* prosecco or champagne. They didn't do this with the wine we were served.. which they should have as normal wine can be soured over time as air gets through the cork if it isn't stored properly. The food was ok, but everything was swimming in cream and cheese. The desserts were ok, but were served with squirty cream. This could be a good restaurant, they just need to up their game a bit.

The service was superlative, the food was beyond epic. The price was sensible. Paid a lot more , for a lot less, elsewhere. It's rare to find a restaurant that hits these points. These guys smashed it out of the park. Worth the money. Oh yes. Worth driving down from Aberdeen (okay...I'm down here going HiFi shopping in Woodseats)...Deffo. Beyond delighted

First time visiting this restaurant. Busy Christmas eve. Staff were excellent and efficient, no waiting to order although it was busy. Food absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and will be dining there again.

I came here for the first time with family and I thoroughly enjoyed my food and my drinks! My only criticism is that it was a touch cold inside! The waiter was very down to earth but still knowledgeable of the menu and made sure that we got everything that we asked for and needed!

Went here last night for a family 30th birthday meal and both staff and food were great. The portions look small but are very filling and I really enjoyed my spaghetti carbonara. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I would recommend it you like Italian food. They also do Mexican as well and there is a good variety of meals to choose from for both meat and veggie eaters. I would certainly return for another meal.

Fantastic family run restaurant with delicious food. Made my mum's birthday! Starter tomato garlic bread, the dough was lovely and fluffy. Could have eaten that as my main! Main course, you absolutely have to try the seabass - better than what we ate at rick stein's in Cornwall. Will be going again 💟

We hadn’t booked but we were lucky and they managed to squeeze us in on a Saturday night. It was busy with a good atmosphere. I had lasagne and it was delicious. My husband had chicken a la crème he said was really tasty and succulent. The staff were lovely too. Will definitely be going back.

There was a birthday party in when we went and the noise was incredible, when they left all the other diners commented on it. Other than that it was good. The food was nice.

Lovely food never fails to disappoint. Has a great offer during the week Monday to Thursday which is 2 course for 15.50. There is a variety of choices have gone multiple times and never not had a good meal

Very pleasantly surprised by our meal and visit. The food was great, the staff were lovely. Little things like thinking to provide extra spoons when we didn't all order a desert, so we could share. If paying by card you can't add a tip, so it's worth bringing some cash too.

Before we went in, we were a little apprehensive. The exterior looked outdated and we almost didn't go in. So glad we decided to visit. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated by the lovely staff. The place has a cosy feeling, exactly what we were hoping for. The food is delicious and being vegetarian, we had a fair number of dishes to choose from. We left feeling full, satisfied and well looked after. Would definitely be happy spending my money there again. Highly recommend!

Four of us had a meal at Dos Amigos last night..first time we had been...and it was excellent. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. Will definitely be going back.

Food was great but could feel the grubby takeaway vibes as I saw one of the staff pouring my flat coke from a 2L bottle just left at room temp on the side. Food.was good though a d the service but flat coke and been sat next to the front door was garbage. Didn't asked to be moved as it was full.

Spent my 25th birthday here and service was impeccable, staff was lovely and attentative. The food were all delicious except for the Tuna Mexicana starter. Best steaks we've had, very soft and well cooked. Very worth travelling an hour for.

Ate here last night and it was gorgeous. I had the mushrooms in garlic and lemon sauce which was beautifully balanced with flavour, as was the creamy verdura pasta main. My partner had the breaded jalapenos and veggie calzone, which was a generous amount of beautifully baked dough with tonnes of flavour. The house wine was a litre of trebbiano for £15 (amazing value for money). For dessert I had the Tiramisu served in a cappuccino mug, so plenty of it, and my partner had the Bailey's cheesecake, which he kept trying to make me try, but I told him I'd like to have it for myself the next time we visit. Amazing value for money not only in portion sizes but for quality as well, and mustn't forget the lovely staff, who were so welcoming and attentive. This place is a gem and we look forward to showing it off to our families, as well as our next visit which I expect will be very soon!

Came tonight 26/01/ 2022 for the first time party of 14 for my son's 21st birthday. What can a say WOW! Excellent food I had garlic mushrooms best every. And main course. Lasagna amazing. Every body in our party of 14 was amazed with there food full of flavour . The staff was very busy but would do anything for you . There was not only my son's 21st birthday but someone elses 21st plus someone else birthday aswell and to say the restaurant was full the staff was busy there made time to sing happy birthday to all 3 birthdays. To sum up amazing food . Very friendly staff . welcoming place to eat. would highly recommend and outstanding food at reasonable price.

Loved it great food and atmosphere

We came on 27 Dec and had a great impression with the food and service here. The waiter was very warm and considerate all the time. Highly recommend the set menu - 2 courses for 13.99. We ordered main dishes Pastisino Carne (penne pasta with chicken) and Crespella pollo (pancake chicken) - kind of lagsana roll stuffing with chicken, cheese and sauce. Those dishes were served with thick fresh tomato sauce. The starter Funghi al aglio is our most favorite one - mushroom cooked in garlic butter and wine, served with salad and a slice of bread.

Excellent food, brilliant staff. We went on my birthday and they all sang Happy Birthday and gave me a tequila shot. We will definitely be returning.
