We enjoyed a delicious lunch in this charming tea room served by friendly & smiley staff. Best pot of tea I’ve had in a cafe for years - served in pretty china. We’ll definitely return when passing again.

Lovely sandwiches and amazing lemon meringue pie on offer. The staff are amazing, so friendly and warm. Worth a visit.

My Grandaughter took me here for a Sunday lunch,we had small portions and it was lovely,tables not too close to others,and staff were lovely.We had a look round outside,and such a good selection of plants.Would recommend Fields Garden Centre

Met with a friend for food on a Thursday fairly early doors, not too busy which is nice when your long overdue a catch up!. I had chicken liver starter, which was lovely. Main dish was Chicken balti, which was beautiful, a lovely consistency, plenty of succulent chicken, accompanied with a peshwari nan bread (probably one of the best I’ve ever had, they don’t add raisins as some do) The service was quick and the guy serving us was really polite and helpful with the questions asked by my friend. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Saffron, out of the 3 local Indians this one I believe offers the best food. I like that I can also take my own drink of choice.

Terrible customer service terrible food ordered for delivery 4 personal meal deals all with wedges and sent out random deserts instead of wedges called up and said I wanted wedges not deserts and told me not there issue and just to eat the desert guy could barely understand English and was very rude

Following an excellent Christmas meal in 2022 I was looking forward to my Christmas lunch as part of a group event. Sadly it turned out to be very disappointing. Insufficient staff meant service was slow and food served tepid. The meat was obviously re heated slices of turkey and not freshly carved. Accompaniments were four overcooked sprouts, red cabbage,a bacon wrapped sausage and roast potatoes. The only other vegetable brought to the table in a bowl were roasted veg. No stuffing,no mashed potatoes,no cauliflower or broccoli. I remember a much better selection two years ago. The prawns in the prawn cocktail were so tiny they had no flavour. The dessert was quite nice if still slightly frozen in the middle. Standards have slipped. It’s a shame because it’s a fantastic venue.

Fish is great but he buys in pre prepped chips and they're god awful. I never understand why this place wins awards over Woolsley Fish and chips shop down the road. Better fish and chips there

Awful soggy prawn crackers, chicken chow mein. Had a cupful of water in it no sauce. It was steamed not fried,crispy beef wasn’t crispy and swimming in an unknown flavoured sauce, and the Singapore chow mein. Was the worst it was dry and tasted of burned oil. Won’t be driving there again.

Nice big fish well cooked. Lovely chips and scraps. Potato scallops were nice and generous. Peas were tasty as were the battered sausages. 1 star removed as they were very expensive but that seems to be the way things are going these days.
