The best restaurants in Selby South Selby Yorkshire and The Humber

Always every so often treat myself to a bacon and egg sandwich for lunch to takeaway and have a cappucino while i wait inside.Todays bacon and egg sandwich as usual was the best i have had in Selby and pretty much anywhere.The staff and management are always friendly and lovely and polite and the food is spot on.Thankyou again,from Damon.

Auf dem Weg zum Flughafen sind wir hier noch zum frühstücken gewesen. Zwei von uns hatten ein englisches Frühstück und waren sehr zufrieden. Zwei weitere hatten das Frühstück mit Lachs und Avocado und waren auch zufrieden. Ich hatte das Egg Benedict was im Prinzip auch lecker war, allerdings mag ich die Eier lieber weich und das waren sie leider nicht. Auch die pochierten Eier beim Lachs waren nicht weich (dies nur als Information).

Very nice food and nice staff. Kebabs and burgers are banging and fresh food. High recommend and will return.

Nipped in while had a little time to kill. The food was great - my breakfast was clearly fresh and was hot! It went down a treat. Great value too! Thank you. It was that good I forgot the picture 🙈

Wide selection of drinks, particularly ales. Didn't eat but intend to return in the future. Quieted off as people appeared to drift to the Jinnah next door.

Great foot and service in a art deco venue. The Jinnah restaurants have an enviable position as a quality Asian food across Yorkshire. Attentive friendly service in a very busy ground floor space with perhaps 100 covers. The old Salvation Army building with Art Deco details has been refreshed contemporarily with flair and taste. Culminating in a very pleasant overall experience. Fantastic, keep it up.

Really good food and service was great with servers regularly checking we had everything we needed. We were a large family group for a special occasion too and the service and the excellent food made the night extra special. Thankyou so much!

Update 30/07/2024 - again closed at 1230 when the opening hours suggest it should be open. No idea what’s going on but I’m fed up of walking there to get coffee and it being closed. I don’t think I’ll bother again. Previous review: Really like coming for coffee here - I’d argue that their coffee is the best in Selby and the food is equally excellent. However, the last four times I’ve been with the intention of getting coffee they’ve been closed when they would normally be open with no notice to explain why, so I’ve no idea what’s going on or whether the opening days/hours have changed.

Cosy atmosphere, traditional italian restaurant, lovely food. Overall great experience for 1st time visit

Friends visit Food was ok, meats tasted good but sometimes we waited 10 minutes for the next meat to be served. Picanha were served once. Meat was scarce. It was a Friday and considering the extra price for dinner I would say there is plenty to improve. Waited more than 10 minutes on a queue to pay. Decor was tacky. Sometimes less is more. Had loads of hopes but will not come any time back soon.
