Jinnah in Selby

The ambiance is great in this busy Indian restaurant. As we went to our table, the food looked good and smelt wonderful. The girls serving us were delightful and attentive but, oh dear, despite repeated requests to speed things up, the 55 minute wait for our meals to be served was ridiculous. The manager argued quite aggressively and unnecessarily that "cooking fresh meant a long wait" . Too long I would say and so we left completely underwhelmed by the experience despite the delicious food.

Had a fantastic meal last night. The pickle tray was unbelievable, the best one I have ever had . The whole meal was a memorable experience and I hope to experience it again very soon

Under cooked rice, rogan Josh was more like a Caribbean curry, cheesy nan was stuck together, popadoms were over salted.

Curry was lovely, proper tender meat and a tasty sauce. Bob the delivery driver was an absolute star and was 100% right on the lamb being gorgeous. 10/10 meal, would have again.

Took 1 hour 40mins to arrive and food was soggy and wasn’t very hot

The food here is so tasty, the staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is 10/10! I would highly recommend a visit to this Indian.

The fried starters were all cooked fresh and the curries were large, very tasty and different. Because so much is cooked fresh they made and adapted dishes for a Vegan in our party. Service was with a smile and first class. Prices were very reasonable, and there was plenty of food to take home at the end. Plus the sympathetic yet dramatic conversion of this old Victorian building gives the whole experience a very special feel. Highly recommended.

Food tasty and hot . Delivery driver efficent.

We love this place; it truly is a diamond find. This is where we go 3 out of 4 Mondays a month as “date night” (we do do other date nights 😉, but the food is so good we use date night as an excuse to keep coming!) Always a nice relaxed feel to it and the folk that are in there are always nice too. Often have a little chatter. Makes for a nice friendly experience. The staff are lovely too and have a buzzing energy to them whilst being super chilled at the same time. The service is well-times. None of this plate is swiped halfway through because the other course is ready. Food is ALWAYS nice and hot. I literally have never had a bad experience here. Being a bottle wine with you - that’s fine. Cold drinks for the kids, just ask the guys and the can sort it out. 2018 first visit and 6 yrs on we’re still coming back. Only thing that surprises me,,,we’ve not left a review earlier! Keep up the good work guys!! Si and Jill

A lovely experience at one of my favourite curry houses. Looked amazing inside as always, great to see the restaurant packed and we only just got a table as a walk in (was a Saturday night). The menu had a few new items and we both tried one of them, packed with flavour and quality ingredients. We look forward to returning

Ordered takeout Sorry guys food wasn’t great … orders desi khana … you sent me out chicken tikka masala ….nothing apne about the dish guys …. Disappointed and won’t use you again … nothing like the Bradford Jinnah

First time customer and had a takeaway last night. The restaurant looks fabulous, extremely warm and professional welcome from the staff. Food was amazing, Chicken Pathia, Chicken Dhansak, Sag Aloo, Mushroom Rice and chapatis. Just recently moved to the area, and I know that we don't have to look anywhere else for a curry - absolutely brilliant and we will most definitely be coming back 👏👏👏

This was my third visit and the food has been delicious every time. Today I had chop poti chicken which was a new dish to me and very tasty

Lamb roshoon was delicious, pilau rice really nice too. But the butter chicken was pretty inedible, my boyfriend ordered it and didn't eat it. The sauce was yellow, watery and very coconuty, and the chicken was pre sliced and quite rubbery. Samosas could have been a bit crisper.. And the fries. Id definitely order the roshoon again, but am feeling pretty deflated after spending nearly £50!! Quick delivery though!

Love Jinnah! Been going years and never disappointed. The staff here are fantastic and give it the personal touch. Food is always fresh and tasty and a personal fav is the murchi korma! Great pickle tray and is a must! The restaurant is really welcoming and great atmosphere.

Only half the order was delivered. Ordered a chicken biryani which always arrives in two boxes - one with the chicken and rice and one with the vegetables and sauce. The vegetable and sauce was not included in the delivery so I only got half a meal. Very disappointed.

Good food, as usual, but rather disappointing that they got our order wrong. I ordered a vegetable biryani and a chicken biryani but received 2x vegetable ones. The rest of the order was correct.

I'm a chicken Korma enjoyer and I thought I would splurge a bit and treat myself....very disappointed in the food, the Korma was tasteless and very watery, no spices, no thick creamy sauce, just watery blandness....at least the chicken was cooked fine I understand we are in England and most people wouldn't know well seasoned food if it hit them in the face but this was truly pathetic I can literally go to any supermarket and get a Korma thats ten times tastier with proper seasoning, nice and creamy and for HALF the price....and it comes with rice!!!

Amazing resteraunt with terrific food and fantastic staff! We love dining in the resteraunt whenever we can, but also love getting their food delivered for a great family night in. Just had our delivery dropped off by Bob who was awesome and incredibly friendly.

Good food, unique flavours and takes on dishes, amazing portion sizes and Bob (our delivery driver) was a great lad. The Andari Raath was a highlight and super accessible, since it was amazing as a veggie option.

Recommended Jinnah by our air bnb hosts and thought we’d give it a try. Did not disappoint - really really tasty all round and large portions. The Andhari Raath was a particular favourite. Reasonably quick delivery (within an hour) considering we ordered at peak time on Easter Sunday. Bob might just be the world’s friendliest delivery driver too. Made our night.

Balti was extremely dry, the chips were stale, and the rice tasted like it was over cooked first and last time I’ll be ordering from here, on the korma the chicken was gristley and hard

Food always arrives on time, fantastic quality, always plentiful, tasty and hot! Jinnah always offers superb customer service, this is what makes us continuing loyal customers! We cannot recommend Jinnah highly enough. Fabulous delivery drivers too :-).

I'm new to Selby and tried Jinnah for the first time today. The seafood platter I had was just gorgeous. The restaurant is stunning and all the staff are so lovely. Highly recommended! *added...Went again yesterday. I just want to say all the waitresses are so lovely and so sweet. Absolutely gorgeous girls.
