Update 30/07/2024 - again closed at 1230 when the opening hours suggest it should be open. No idea what’s going on but I’m fed up of walking there to get coffee and it being closed. I don’t think I’ll bother again. Previous review: Really like coming for coffee here - I’d argue that their coffee is the best in Selby and the food is equally excellent. However, the last four times I’ve been with the intention of getting coffee they’ve been closed when they would normally be open with no notice to explain why, so I’ve no idea what’s going on or whether the opening days/hours have changed.

Food quality very and nice atmosphere. Been a few times now and the service is slow. Not a problem if you have time, but can take time to get served. Everyone very polite and pleasant thou.

8 of us went today 6th May for a double birthday celebration, table booked for 2pm ,the two staff that were on duty looked a bit surprised to see us although I had an email conformation, the young man quickly put us a table together and tuck our drinks order, then he came and did our food order ,food was a while coming and one meal was so long coming they didn't charge for it, food was really good though, young lady that was serving on was really nice too,we did feel a bit rushes as we were now the only table in and it felt like they wanted to close but they were being very polite, we will return but maybe book an earlier table next time

Hidden gem Ousegate Selby, we went for coffee and cake really nice will go again.

Called last minute for a table for Sunday lunch, lovely helpful staff and the food was perfect!! Portion sizes so good I couldn’t even steal my mums Yorkshire Pudding!! Also the roasties aren’t frozen ones incase you were wondering 😂😂🙌🏼

Lovely staff, well decorated not too hip but not stuffy, as a vegan cafes can often be a bit lazy but they’ve a good menu that’s adaptable and well considered. Mum says coffee is great, the Coca Cola is cold, served with ice in a nice glass, cakes are naughty and also come with vegan options. Love this place, regularly pop over from Hull rather than doing more garden centres with the family haha :)

Great menu, coffee is gorgeous. We had a full breakfast and a rosti and they were both faultless.

My friend and I had lovely breakfasts (traditional and veggie). Staff friendly and welcoming, good coffee, food well cooked, hot and tasty. Will be back!

This is a lovely little place for a coffee&cake or lunch. Handful of vegan choices (including both soups on the day we visited). Staff extremely friendly and helpful, and we can come back with the dog another day now we know they're dog friendly too!

Had a really lovely breakfast this morning at the River Mills Ballroom! Super lovely staff who couldn't do more for us, a really excellent menu with a full range for everyone, all set in a modern and cosy environment. Portion sizes are big, coffee is great, and the prices are very reasonable. A top recommend for Selby

We came here for breakfast on Father's Day. We didn't struggle to get a table, which is surprising because the food and atmosphere was really good! I ordered some porridge for my toddler and it was a great portion for the price! The rosti and traditional breakfast was delicious.

Had a delicious Sunday dinner today, all really good quality! Also the nicest scone I've had for ages:) thanks very much!

Downstairs @rivermillsballroom is a really nice place with friendly staff. We arrived at around 10am and they welcomed our group, including a dog. We all had breakfast sandwiches which were delicious and a couple of drinks each. We never felt rushed and the prices were in-line with what you'd expect.

Never went in as I would’ve been the only person inside very quiet

Hidden gem, super friendly staff, decent prices and a lovely coffee as a bonus. Scones are lovely, determined to try one of their lunches one day soon. Added bonus, quirky decor which left smiling.

Visited the coffee club today for lunch for the first time. Had coffees, paninies and mince pies. The staff were lovely and friendly and the atmosphere was great. We loved the decor and everything was spotlessly clean. I would recommend visiting for a relaxed experience and lovely food.

Lovely quirky cafe. Food is great and the staff are really helpful and friendly. Dog friendly too which is a bonus!

Lovely alternative to a motorway stop on route to Newark

Fantastic food and drinks in such a lovely shop, the decor is great and it's just good vibes all around! The staff were all very friendly and our waitress was so helpful!

Love this place! Near to bus and train station. Delightful decor. Clean environment. Helpful staff. Good food and drinks. Love having a teapot and China cup and saucer.

Enjoyed a lovely Cappuccino coffee and complimentary truffle at the Coffee club.It was my first visit today with a friend thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Friendly greeting by the staff, excellent service and very clean.Will certainty making a return visit.....m

We visited the Coffee Club for the first time this morning and discovered a lovely new cafe in Selby! The coffee was great and the tray baked brownies delicious. The lunch menu looks great too. The decor was modern and a bit quirky - very welcoming!! Table service was attentive but not intrusive - great customer service. Good Luck Coffee Club and we will definitely visit again!!

What a gem! An eclectic cheerful cafe with a hint of whimsy and oodles of charm. Having moved to Selby in Oct 2020 and due to the Rona not able to explore I was very surprised to find this amazing space. The coffee is amazing the tray bake blondie was so so tasty. Friendly staff more than happy to tell you of the origins of this great building. I'll be going back to try the lunch menus soon. Please support your local businesses and visit soon 😊

Was here today with a friend. Just for coffee and cake. The Biscoff Flapjack was amazing. Excellent service, pleasant staff and clean, cheerful surroundings. Next time - lunch or afternoon tea.

Good coffee and brownies, relaxing atmosphere; could possibly introduce a WiFi service as could be a good alternative to working from home or the office.

Visited for a takeaway cup of coffee and some breakfast. The coffee was lovely and the sausage and egg muffin tasted great. Fantastic service, both friendly and efficient.

Fabulous! The best coffee in Selby! Home made delicious food. Great service, gorgeous decoration and somewhere lovely to visit. We can't wait to go back.
