A regular stop off whenever we’re in Selby. The food is fantastic whether it’s a quick snack, full on Sunday lunch or special occasion. Mat, Gemma, Di, Chaba & all the staff are polite, respectful and… efficient. An enjoyable experience. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Superb day and evening yesterday. The ballroom looked stunning the way it had been laid out, we only brought a couple of fab balloon displays. The food was first class and so many comments saying so. All dietary requirements catered for, great portions, nobody left hungry. Beautifully presented, perfectly served. More than enough people serving. Tables kept clear. Superb range of alcohol free options for the drivers. Cannot recommend them highly enough. I would have expected to pay significantly more for the quality of the food. Thank you to Hannah for keeping it all organised and all your help.

We had a lovely warm welcome upon arrival. The decor is great and nicely spaced tables. We went for brunch, though this is served all day. The menu had a great variety and catered for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free for quite a lot of the options. Food took a little while to come but when it's made fresh, that's expected. The portion size was very good - we both didn't eat all of it- and the food was delicious! We will definitely revisit and are looking forward to trying something from the "Platter" part of the menu.

My wife shared a very enjoyable Greek Platter with a friend here and consequently booked Sunday lunch here for the two of us. On arrival we were shown promptly to our table. A further two tables came in after us and had their orders taken before us. My wife actually had to ask for our order to be taken. Our order included a bottle of wine. When brought to the table we immediately realised the bottle was open and possibly short measured by up to one glass. When brought to the attention of our server it was promptly changed. With regards the food I can only say it was edible, generous portions but rather bland. The premises are pleasant and our servers were lovely but rather inexperienced. We also noted that there was a large party upstairs, possibly a wedding. Does this impact the service levels downstairs? On balance we may try other meals here but will be avoiding Sunday lunch.

Fantastic little place to have a bite to eat. Ordered fresh orange juice with a gluten and dairy free egg and bacon sandwich, which was delicious. My wife had the gluten-free and vegan chocolate brownie with tea and soya milk, which was also fantastic. The art on the walls are very funky, the staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is cosy. Definitely going to be our Selby regular.

Lunch at Downstairs at RiverMills ballroom was excellent! Service was great - friendly, helpful and the food came out perfectly timed. It has a really chilled out vibe - very trendy and quirky inside. Ordered bread and olives to start which came with 3 type of bread, 3 types of olives and 3 types of oil (garlic, chilli and normal with balsamic) and the bread was soft and warm and delicious. We also had a Greek platter and an oriental platter which we shared. Couldn’t fault it at all. It was fresh, cooked perfectly and very tasty. Would highly recommend this hidden gem - especially the platters. We will be back to taste more of them as there was a great choice on the menu.

Myself and my wife popped in for breakfast, while not the cheapest in Selby it was really good quality, we also got some cakes to take away for later. Worth a visit.

This place is great, the staff our friendly, the food platters are ideal, the atmosphere is fab and it’s dog friendly. I’ve eaten here, popped by for a coffee and done a couple of bottomless brunches and I must say it’s probably the best bottomless brunch I have done as the staff make sure you always have a drink and you aren’t waiting around for service or wondering when you have to catch their attention for your next drink to get your monies worth. I really hope this place stays open and people utilise it as it always seems to close down due to this so fingers crossed it sticks around.

We rang to book for Mothers Day and they said they were fully booked but he'd see what he could do and call us back. He called back, said he'd shuffled things around and could now fit us in. Really appreciate this! However, when we got there there were 2 people in?? Although more arrived whilst we were there tables were still empty?? Coffees were good, waitresses were lovely, they did mix up one meal but in fairness took it off the bill. Food was good and overall experience good. Would we go back? .....possibly.

We have visited several times and with various friends and the view of all was that the food was imaginative and excellent. I recommend going on Thirsty Thursday when a drink is included in the price.

We have eaten here with friends 4 times over the last 2 years, but it has never really impressed us. The food is OK, but not really worth the cost. The chips were hard and dry, which I don't understand as they are supposed to be home made! Also, the drinks have always been expensive, but £4.55 for 1 pint and one half pint of lime and soda is ridiculous. The most we have ever paid in the past is £3, but often less than that!!

We took a bit of a detour from our journey South to visit The Hidden Tearoom, and what a great choice it was! So many delicious homemade goodies and a very warm welcome from Edi. The Scone-wiches (cheese scone with bacon, onion marmalade, cream cheese and salad) were fabulous and there were too many lovely cakes and puddings to choose from. Highly recommended.
