Nice boozer for me just passing through Selby to visit my kid. Bar lady was very kind, I have mobility issues and she brought my Guinness out to the table for me. Great! I will go again!👍🍻

One of the best pubs in Selby for the beer. The Landlord always keeps a good pint. Especially the handpull. Good crack too. A no nonsense boozer.

Come here when I am not working away from home, I have met some of the best people in this pub. The bar staff are great and are friendly with everyone who comes through the door. I walk in and they automatically know what I want. Amazing place, amazing staff, Great prices . I would recommend this pub to anybody.

This is my local and by far one of the best pubs in town. I can come in here on my own and there is always friendly faces on both sides of the bar . The Johns smiths is the best pint of Johns around and a really good price too.

Great town centre pub, a decent range of beers at good prices. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Afternoons seem to be the most popular times to visit.

New to the area and this is my third visit to the pub. Made to feel very welcome. All the locals love it here and there is a great atmosphere. Tracy is a very friendly member of staff. Whenever I am in Selby I will.be paying a visit. Only put 1 star for food as they don't serve food but otherwise 100% all round

Been in this bar several times now and always had a positive experience. Bar staff friendly and attentive (particularly Hannah) The prices are unbelievable and its very nice to sit outside (In the summer)

I am a General Practitioner and this has been my Mother since I moved into Selby in 2009. I am an Indian by Orientation. This pub is just not a pub, its family, its a community. This place has seen me through the toughest of times. A lovely a game of Pool, a lovely drink, and a Nice banter and that's what you get. Elderly are respected and taken care of, Females feel safe, DRINKS ARE CHEAP, and Landlord Charlie (Who I call Lord Charles with affection), you cant beat. Best part is, and that is I some hing I can vouch as a Clinician- People come to this place, they share their happiness, sorrows and problems. We don't let down the people we Love. Its an Anchor for me and so many others. Keep going Lord Charles, Love you to bits.

Marvellous! You might not like the look of it from the outside but go there @ 10am on a Sunday ( when it opens ) and park for free right outside. Have a pint of well kept Director's for the princely sum of £2.95 and a genial chat with the friendly landlord. It's a Marston's pub...one of the better chains... and when I went had two other real ales on tap. And at those prices it's just great!

Good old fashioned town pub with good range of beers reasonably priced. Interesting collection of locals provide a proper pub atmosphere. Bonus point for "no dogs" policy.

Great local pub with very good regular clientele. Also a very strong group of regular pool player's, can always get a good friendly game.

Since the vaults have started Sunday dinners their has been some new faces the dinners are excellent . Definitely get your moneys worth the atmosphere is very inviting. The manager is very polite and engages in everyone that steps through the door we noticed yesterday that the kitchen staff donated some left over food to the homeless shelter which we thought was a wonderful contribution nice to see people helping where they can Definitely recommend bothe food and drink . Food is piping hot and all fresh 😋
