Had the best pancakes - massive and fluffy ! Also had the light breakfast which was cooked perfectly. The ladies that work there were lovely and had great customer service skills. Definitely be going back.

Just discovered this cafe today after seeing fab pics on Facebook. It had a lovely and relaxing atmosphere, the lady who owns it/works there??? was very friendly. We had pancakes and heck they were massive!! Next time I’ll just have one. Can totally recommend them they were super light and fluffy, and very filling. The full breakfasts looked amazing. Everything we had and saw was tastefully presented on the plates. Will definitely come back - good food and atmosphere.

My partner and I visited eighty 1 for the first time after hearing some very positive comments. The cafe itself on arrival was very clean, spacious and nicely decorated, the menu seems good, and something for everyone, we specifically went in for breakfast and so our review is based on that. I had the full breakfast unfortunately iwas very disappointed, the fried eggs had been cooked in a ring which inevitably made them burnt around the edge and not runny at all, in fact completely over cooked, the black pudding was over cooked and dry, and the bacon also over cooked, I had not been asked nor asked my bacon crispy which I really dislike, I was informed on ordering that they don't do swaps after informing them that I didn't require the tomato, the coffee was nice though. My partner had the american pancake, very thick which consequently made it very dry a little fruit on top with maple syrup which she said she didn't want but had it anyway to help moisten the pancake, I would suggest either creme fraishe, greek yoghurt or/and a nice fruit compote, which would have complement the dish perfectly, and at £5.50 you still can make a good gross profit. My breakfast at just short of £9.00 is shambolic, It really frustrates me that such a simple meal to get right is made so abysmally, oh and the toast was cold. There are so many café in selby you have to get it spot on consistently to stand out from the rest, lower the price a little, don't cook the eggs in a mould, ask the customer how they would like their bacon, and black pudding is already cooked, just warm it through, maybe serve half of a field mushroom, buy your sausages from the butcher in the inshops in town they are amazing even doing all this you could still make 65% to 70% profit margin, and let people swap within reason or add a small supplement.

We have now been visiting this excellent cafe at least once per week since before Xmas and can say that the food is delicious, especially the English Breakfast, the staff are friendly, professional and very efficient. We have a hearing dog in training and it has quickly become one of his favourite places to visit and a vital part of his training. I strongly recommend this cafe for both breakfast and lunch

We popped in for a couple of paninis and a drink. It was busy but still had a really friendly vibe and a really clean environment. They immediately cleaned and sterilised tables when someone left. I wanted to sit outside but as a larger girl the chairs were a little too small, the staff member didn’t laugh/smirk or even blink as he just looked for a spare chair without sides I could take outside. We opted to stay inside in the end but it was just immediate and friendly service. It’s the little things that make you feel welcome. We live nearby and will definitely be back!

Visited this lovely cafe for the first time with friends for a vegan afternoon tea. Jayne, the owner, could not have been more friendly and accommodating. She went above and beyond putting together

Very disappointing. Afternoon tea for a family occasion for fourteen. Basic sandwiches on supermarket bread - one egg; tuna; ham and cheese and cucumber with a few lettuce leaves for garnish. No other
