The best restaurants in Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

Came for a drink after a muddy walk from our Airbnb, wandered straight into the pub and Sara ( sorry if misspelt) was so lovely and friendly, we ended up staying for hours! All staff were lovely including landlady and a good nice local pub!

I asked for a Chicken Shish Kebab and this is what I was served!!! Absolutely disgusting, safe to say I won’t be going back there again.

Picked up a Cantonese style sweet and sour and the chicken was overcooked and hard and was inedible. The lemon chicken was the same and very little lemon sauce. Very disappointed as i have been there before and the food was lovely.

Excellent food served by cheery staff, recommended amongst the many options in the town.

Really happy hear, sat in the sunshine on the sea front, having just enjoyed a vegan choc mint chip ice cream. Very happy, could have had salted caramel, raspberry, strawberry or vanilla. Just chilling and taking in the views. Coffee available too.

Just had probably one of the best Indians ever, food piping hot and full of flavour, the meat and chicken were extremely tender. Will definitely go back

Beachfront relaxed friendly place for a drink or 2 and sports showing on the various screens. Wide range of draught beers. Child and dog friendly inside which is a bonus in October. Didnt have food on our 2 visits but whay we saw looked good.

I have eaten at this restaurant and had takeaways in the past and it was beautiful however after tonight’s takeaway I won’t be going back. We had chicken tikka masala and pilla rice. I cannot believe how it’s changed it was nothing like it used to be, and tasted nothing like a masala very tomatoey and not much else, the chicken was over cooked,hard and a couple of pieces were grisly, also there are 5 maybe 6 small pieces of chicken the rest is a box full of sauce. The rice was bland. Overall very disappointing to the extent most of it was thrown away. I would no longer recommend which is unfortunate as it did use to be lovely.

We went for a cup of tea and teacake which was nice so decided to come back for the Sunday lunch but it was awful the potatoes and roast potatoes had just been re heated and tasted disgusting the Yorkshire pudding was burnt the beef was OK was very ddisappointed wouldn't go back

It was a busy day for the chippy. But the food wasn't good. The chips were greasy. The fish was very very very small, the fish was all greasy batter. They were not cheap either. First and last time.

If you want fine dining you should go elsewhere. The menu was okay but more like pub grub in a restaurant setting. Would we eat there again. Probably if it’s pouring with rain and we couldn’t eat elsewhere.

My wife Requested an hot pasty and paid for a hot pasty. Was bagged and given it. On eating within a few minutes it was never hot, never had been hot, was a cold as a pint of milk form the fridge. Poor.

Great food, is our number one takeaway, great with customers, always on time

Best pub in Scarborough beer was great and staff just brilliant. 2022 now and still excellent beer and service.

Nice fish restaurant just back from the waterside. Just what we needed after a busy day. Staff were all great. Food was nice. Will be back
