Called in for a couple of pints on a Friday night, karaoke, cheap drinks and a great atmosphere with friendly service.

Great service from bar staff, great value overall and dog friendly. No complaints 👍

We have been to the TH on a number of occasions & never had any issues, the pub does get busy & looks like a regular place the locals go to as you generally find the same faces propping up the bar. On our recent visit my husband noticed that one of the urinals was full of sick which was blocking it & urine was overflowing on to the floor. He did mention this to the security guy & was told in an aggressive manner that it had been like that all day, my husband said that its not really on to be padding through other peoples stomach contents & urine to which the security barked "Do I look like a cleaner". Im sorry but if your paying to drink in a pub then sanitary conditions in the toilets should be a given, apart from being a health hazard, if anyone slipped & injured themselves then it would be everyones problem whether paid cleaners or not! From there we were asked to leave as my husband said that his attitude was terrible. Shocking behaviour!

The service was atrocious. We waited over 20 minutes for our drinks, and when they finally arrived, they were wrong.Bar staff were unhelpful, and seemed more interested in chatting to each other than serving customers, not forgetting the riffraff element, locals I presume who were very rude and lairy. I won't be returning anytime soon.

Just a quick visit on the way to the station. Definitely worth another visit and some more time.

Seems like a great local pub beer is fine, only popped in for a couple during visit to Scarborough so only commenting on a brief visit.

One of my favourite pubs in Scarborough very lively on a night, and during the day a great place to take your dog.

Gran ambiente un poco de karoke lanzado, y buena cerveza. Bien situado para el comienzo y el final de la noche. Bueno por la tarde también, un pub muy local y muy acogedor

Sat down and enjoying a drink used the mens toilet then left. If this is toilet what does the beer cellar look and smell like. I was told it's actually a landlady well two. How can they be so lazy never to clean the toilets because I did mention it to a local he just they have always been the same.

If you want to do a bit of fun karaoke, this is the place to go.

Reasonably priced and a good atmosphere

A wonderful bar full of locals who make tourists very welcome. The landladies are first class which matches the quality of the beer and my John Smith's was only £1.95 a pint. Sheer heaven ✨

Nice outdoor seating area. Good place to go if you like watching horse racing. Clientele? Umm...

One of the Best Pubs in Town Land Lady Is Absolutely lovely can't do enough for you. Always something in every day. Weekends are fab Karoake all weekend. Great atmosphere and staff are Fab

Brilliant pub, good atmosphere, great deals on drinks. Staff friendly. Place clean and entertainment spot on! Karaoke is best in town. Pool tables, darts board, beer garden. Love it!!!

Great place, went in to watch football 5 mins before kick off. They turned it on straight away, was accommodating and the person behind the bar was funny with a bit of banter. Beer was the best I've seen in years. Less than 4quid a pint

Old favourite when in the area, always pay a visit. Clean, freindly public house with fantastic outside seating if wish. Very competetavely priced. Friendly locals

Very cheap but that’s not always a good thing, clicky & young children in there when karaoke is blasting out- not good …..

Not a very nice place, too many swearing men in when we went, not for us I'm afraid. Sorry.

Would have minus 5 stars if possible. Just left after witnessing junkie borrowing credit card off one of the girls with him, taking it to the toilet and using for taking a line. (This I know as when he came back, said to one of his friends 'Need loo as that line's gone straight through me). Also two gentlemen we were talking to went into the toilet and found the card with remnants of white powder and handed to lady behind bar who turned a blind eye. Will not return which is a shame as this used to be a good pub, horse racing, sports etc. Unfortunately the only sport now is 'recreational' drug taking with nothing done about it.

Updated review.....was in on 21st July. Great atmosphere but lass whonwas doing Karaoke needs to learn how to fairly put people in a queue instead of putting tickets in how SHE feels. Really annoying when you spend 2-3 hours expecting to be treated fairly.

Just had drinks in here so can't judge food but a good licals style pub. Had a karaoke when I last visited on a Saturday night. The only down dide for me was being moved from the small beer garden at 10pm. Apparently due to restrictions on the licence because neighbouring properties had complained in the past. A dog friendly pub as well 😊

Great bar in a good location. All sports showing & good prices too. Nice outside seating area overlooking the sea. Will visit again next year.

Absolutely loved it in there and it was my first visit too Scarborough and the karaoke was on when I called in and the DJ/Landlady was top of her game

Very nice place if you go there go upstairs a lot of people don't realise there is a pool table up there and the view of Scarborough beach is fantastic and the beer garden staff are lovely

Excellent value for money. Charming old fashioned British pub with good beers.

Went for a pint before booking in to hotel it was only 12 and a very drunk lad started to threaten me and my husband was a scary experience and no one in the pub seemed bothered.

Came from out of town visiting a friend I met in Tenerife bar staff were friendly and the customers were all a decent crowd had a fun night with karaoke and a few beers even though my friend had to go cos he had a few too many but what a night next time I visit will call in again thanks for a good night xx

Very friendly staff and clients and extremely cheep pity about being black balled some of the the neighbors, but the experience of the pub is outstanding and highly recommend not for idiots

Friendly bar staff and doormen , fantastic karaoke which was not only a good system but fair when it came to giving everyone a go which we never experienced at other kareoke venues in Scarborough . Bar was cheap as chips ! £5 for 3 x wkds , less than £5 for a double vodka which is a snippet of the price of pubs on the front . Will 💯 visit again ! In my opinion the best pub in Scarborough . Well done guys !!!!

Went for my birthday 🎂, everyone so friendly and although felt like a local pub me and my friend were welcomed and included. We will definately visit everytime we are in Scarborough
