This is a must do. Cafe serving home made chocolates and, lovely food. Dog friendly, warm and welcoming. Food was great value and excellent, I had lunch there and the soup and cheese scone were just delicious. The hot chocolate was, quite simply, the best I have ever had

This small restaurant is wonderful for a quiet venue with good wine and excellent food. The restaurant operates an open kitchen, with a small menu cooked fresh in front of you. There's no big sign for the restaurant and you'd barely know it was there if you weren't looking for it. The current menu is found on the gate post and I would recommend it to any Richmond locals or visitors.

LOVE the food and coffee in here. The people working there are really kind and will help you with what you need. We purchased their cheese scones, lemon cake, rocky road, 2 different ginger cakes, and tartlet 😋 We will be going again to try more things from the Deli and Pantry 👌

Came in from out of town and found this gem of an Indian. Reviews were good anyway, but we had a great meal and thoroughly enjoyed it all. Service was as good as the food and we both said it was the best Indian we'd had in a couple of years. (I can recommend the Karahai). Thanks to everyone for a lovely meal, and the rose was a nice touch.

We were on holiday from Spain and found Tasty Macs on Google. There was 10 of us, we ordered 10 sandwiches, 4 baked potatoes with piri piri chicken and a pasta salad. The food was made very quickly even with there been so many of us. The sandwiches and potatoes were delicious and the pasta salad got the approval of the children. Hope to visit again soon. Rebecca

Cute location and really lovely inside if you want to eat in. We've only had takeaways and they've been nothing short of pure unadulterated filthy deliciousness. The Roe Jogan and BBQ pulled pork loaded fries are unreal. Get one ordered. You won't be disappointed!

The staff and venue was impeccable but the food let the experience down. The French Onion Soup wasn’t hot and the topping very sparce. I had the chicken supreme. The plates were freezing, as was my asparagus. The chicken was that dry I had to rag it apart to eat it. The menu was French in gesture but what arrived was disappointing. I’m sorry to write this review but if we’re paying £16 for a French Onion soup, it needs to be special …. and the food hot and moist They did say sorry and let us have the drinks without charge.

We haven't been for a while as since owners changed we have felt the food was just not as good. However we picked up a takeaway last night and it was in a different league. the food was amazing. Fresh, tasty, good ingredients. Lets hope this is the way forward. I hope local people try this place again as we did - as all the restaurants in Richmond need the support of locals.

Quirky for sure but very friendly and very keen to please. The soup we had was delicious and having leaf tea was a treat. Scones on the table is a lovely idea but a cover would be better. Lovely chat with the proprietor and really good at engaging with our whole family.

Service was bit over attentive but acceptable. One of the lady servers didn't seem to have a smile? We shared a starter of Loaded wedges. More Bolognese sauce than anything. It wasn't exactly piping hot and the wedges not that crispy. Fairly sure warmed up. My partner enjoyed her 4 Cheese Pizza that was served on a nice hot pizza plate while my Linquine Al Gamberine (king Prawn) was very tasty but on a cold plate. (Anyone who reads my reviews knows this is always minus 1 star, why is it so hard to serve hot food on at the very least warm plates?). Sweets were acceptable though nothing special. The sprinkle of chocolate powder garnish on mine was botched and in a big pile. You would think they would have transferred the sweet to a fresh plate and tried again! Just to finish, turns out we were over charged for the 4 cheese pizza that my partner swore blind was £12.95, I said she was probably mistkane. Looking at the menu to do the review turns out it was £12.95 and we were charged more (I think £13.95 but who keeps receipt) We travel to Richmond every now and again and this was our first visit to the Elixir. Can't see that we will be back as there are much better places to eat in Richmond. For Italian try Rafael'o as better than Elixir though still has "cold plate syndrome" (see other reviews).

Sadly tomorrow is the end of our caravan season. So today was our final scheduled visit for our regular Saturday morning breakfast of the year. We are already looking forward to returning the 2nd Saturday in March 2025. If you want GREAT food, with GREAT service you are always assured of both together with a friendy welcome. Thankyou Wendy, Mick, Lisa and the rest of team "Granny's Kitchen".
