The best restaurants serving British food in Richmond West Richmondshire Yorkshire and The Humber

The owner was very helpful and friendly, he even gave me some extra carrot cake as it was the end of day. I would certainly go back there if I was to visit Richmond again and wanted some quality produce.

We were on holiday from Spain and found Tasty Macs on Google. There was 10 of us, we ordered 10 sandwiches, 4 baked potatoes with piri piri chicken and a pasta salad. The food was made very quickly even with there been so many of us. The sandwiches and potatoes were delicious and the pasta salad got the approval of the children. Hope to visit again soon. Rebecca

Sadly tomorrow is the end of our caravan season. So today was our final scheduled visit for our regular Saturday morning breakfast of the year. We are already looking forward to returning the 2nd Saturday in March 2025. If you want GREAT food, with GREAT service you are always assured of both together with a friendy welcome. 1st time visiting, good service and friendly staff, ordered a Vanilla Latte with coconut milk and A smashed avocado with poached egg dish which was delicious 😋 will be visiting again. The morro lounge has a nice atmosphere and nice decor. Highly recommended.

Literally had the entire pub to ourselves. Very welcoming and dog friendly. Food was spot on pub grub, homemade chips were delicious.

Called for drinks only as we were passing on our way to a restraunt booking elsewhere. The beer was spot on and the locals very friendly inviting us to the night's activities. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

We checked in and the owner stated the DJ would be on until 1/1:30am in the morning which I understand as it’s a pub … got to the room there was mould all in the bathroom and the window was so drafty I was absolutely freezing. 11pm came people were in the beer garden, they may aswell of been in the room with me, so loud and the music shook all the walls. The only thing that was ok was the bedding and towels seemed fresh. I’ve been to a lot of 18-30 hotels abroad and they didn’t even compare to the noise I experienced. It’s such a shame as Richmond is beautiful and the property is so old and could be gorgeous. I do a lot of honest reviews good and bad so please take my advice and stay elsewhere.

Coming from a fish and chips connoisseur, best I've had in years

My partner and I stayed on the 26th of December 2024 so enjoy a night together after all the hustle and bustle over Christmas. I can honestly say this hotel was perfect . We had a lovley clean double room, 4 poster bed and extra comfy pillows. The bar area was lovley, Staff gorgeous and Location was perfect. Perfect for a stroll and drinks . Some busy pubs and plenty of places to eat locally. I would definitely be staying at this hotel again very soon. X

This is a straight forward eat in or takeaway chip shop with no frills. We had small fish and chips with curry sauce to eat in. We had them straight from the boxes provided, and both fish and chips were perfect, curry sauce very tasty. Service very good too.

Great service with a smile from a Scottish lady. Shame they don’t do sprinkles on their ice cream. And why oh why do they only accept cash. Everybody uses contactless and card these days. Will visit again.
