The best restaurants in Addlebrough Richmondshire Yorkshire and The Humber

I am gonna be honest, I was soooo happy to see this coffee shop because I really needed to go to the toilet, because in the national park it is hard to find a toilet and I was surprised that they are there (I visited a few national parks, and there is not a single bar or coffee shop in miles) so very happy to find then. And second, the lady was so nice, very friendly. Me and my brother order jack potato and I am telling you, it was a quality plate, (I love jack potato so I may sound exaggerated haha) simple but really nice. Also I took a piece of cake and was delicious. Beautiful place, beautiful views, I was in love!

Fantastic setting with view of Church. Good choice on menu and of cakes - all looked delicious. We all ordered rolls of different fillings, they were fresh and well filled. Selections of coffees, tea and soft drinks and cannot fault anything. Staff were friendly and patient.

We have just enjoyed a terrific take away afternoon tea. This included a selection of sandwiches, cheese scone, half porkpie, tray bakes and a jam and cream scone. All were home baked and freshly made. Previously we have eaten the afternoon tea, and other meals, in the tea shop, and everything was delicious! The team there are lovely and the service is friendly and welcoming.

What a beautiful village Bainbridge is and with a Tea Room/Bakery in a prime location. A huge disappointment was not at all what I was expecting.. No welcome when entering the establishment. I sat at a table observing that there were five other patrons, two tables of two and a single gentlemen. I read the menu and was looking forward to ordering a cooked breakfast. I sat for a total of 23 minutes whilst a young man served tea, bacon rolls and scones to the other patron he never ONCE acknowledged my presence. I eventually decided to leave. Not sure how to draw a positive from this experience, but I shall not be recommending it in my reviews here or elsewhere. Visit 27/03/2025

We stayed in the Kariega room and we were so pleased. Private hot tub with a gorgeous view of the river and the room was delightful. Not far from Aysgarth Falls . Definitely worth a visit if you stay at Yorebridge. I could go on and on about how fab this place is. Love it !

This is a lovely locals pub and we’ve spent many many happy times here over the years. We dined here on Sunday evening and thoroughly enjoyed both our lasagne and steak pie meals which were both reasonably priced. A lovely pint of local real ale and Pinot rose were well received ! We’ll definitely be returning before the end of the year.

You have to visit, do not drie by without stopping and experiencing this Inn. We were amazed at the menu choices and quality of the food and service second to none. Great Family friendly restaurant and pub full of character and friendly staff.

Opens early for papers and such a handy shop. Parking quite handy. Askrigg is fortunate to have such a local shop

Food was amazing, service was super quick. All staff friendly and helpful. Views are absolutely stunning and a small walk to the falls. Definitely a must if out this way

Attended the BBQ night last night and we were really impressed with the food and the warm welcome, yes there was a wait but it gave us time to chat and enjoy the chap who was singing live, best burger and kofta I've had in a while and the pricing was really fair, we have visited before and will definitely visit again.

Friendy service and lovely food . The red cabbage served with the steak pie was a unique taste and very very nice . A nice atmosphere and a great place to spend a few hours.

This place definitely deserves its very solid rating. Two of us came for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. It was a quality meal although I think the lunch would benefit from swapping out the cheesy leeks with cauliflower cheese which is unfortunately not available. That said, I demolished every bit of everything so what can I say?!

Verrrrrry slow service and I'm so sad to write that my sister had a long dark hair in her fish cake. They brought our food out over an hour later and then still didn't bring out the 1 year olds kids meal until after we'd got ours. Sorry to say I wouldn't come here for food again.

This food is outstanding We stayed at middle house last year and we had b&b so breakfast was 10/10 we went back on Friday night we tried to book rooms but they were full but we did have evening meal and it was outstanding so we've booked to go back for another stay happy days
