The George & Dragon Inn in Richmondshire

Verrrrrry slow service and I'm so sad to write that my sister had a long dark hair in her fish cake. They brought our food out over an hour later and then still didn't bring out the 1 year olds kids meal until after we'd got ours. Sorry to say I wouldn't come here for food again.

Don’t know where to start, we ordered food and drinks straight away and waited 45 minutes for the food to arrive at the table. The roast pork dinner was luke warm and swimming in grease and the vegetables were luke warm too. The Yorkshire puddings were flat and horrible. We had to get the waitress to replace both items! My husband had fish and chips, the fish wasn’t even in one piece and looked like two little tails! The only thing we enjoyed was the desserts.

Had a lunchtime drink & meal. We were a large group (20) on a bellringing trip. We were on a schedule & had pre-ordered. Food was all good, served on time, pleasant staff, good real beer. Recommend. Would very happily visit again if in the area.

I was staying in the village on work for a few days and was delighted to find this gem of a place... Real 'Northern Hospitality'... Great food too! I would recommend this place to anyone! The members of staff I met Clare and Luke were ace and thier boss 'Ted' runs a tight ship!

We have just had a great Roast beef Sunday lunch at the George and Dragon , it was very reasonable and of good quality, good friendly service , very happy with our meal

Recommended to visit here after good reviews from trip advisor. Very pleased we did . Clean premises, great hosts , very polite and friendly . Lovely home cooked food that was well served and piping hot . Very pleased we came here 10/10

During a visit to north yorks we were looking for an evening stop for evening meal who catered for Glutten Free diet.. big smiles from staff Fantastic Glutten free options my wife was in heaven with glutten free fish and chips. Ihad steak which was great.

Did not go in - just want to warn travellers to go with 50p pieces in order to enter the waterfall area if visiting after hours and having to use the turnstile.
