The best restaurants in City and Hunslet Leeds Yorkshire and The Humber

I ordered early afternoon, and my order was not delivered

Everytime I go here I’m shocked by how unfriendly, rude and unaccommodating the staff are. They look miserable and barely communicate with each other. Clearly a toxic work place. This used to be the best coffee you’d find in Leeds about 10 or so years but now there’s loads of places that do better coffee. Coffee is still good, pastries average, food decent. No longer anything exceptional here.

Very nice restaurant, waiter called Harrison was great and good vibes. Ragu main was slightly underwhelming.

Amazing food and amazing service !!! Food was packed with so much flavour, the atmosphere was lovely, the young lady, Tamsin, who served us was so polite and attentive, we will definitely be coming back !!!

We booked this for our daughters 18th birthday the food and staff was absolutely Amazing. The staff went above and beyond we we definitely be booking this venue again. Thank you so much once again. Fantastic experience 👏 👌 🙌 😀

Fantastic place for a bit to eat when in Leeds. Went in on a Sunday for the 3 courses and a drink for £30ish. Really, really enjoyed it. I went for the beef and the cheesecake,it was amazing. Treat the mother to Mother’s Day lunch too and it was lovely. The service was second to none 👌🏻

Esto no se refiere a la comida, sino a una gestión y seguimiento terribles. Fuimos huéspedes regulares en El Gato Negro Tapas en Leeds, ya que visitamos allí al menos unas pocas veces al mes. Hemos reservado el lugar para nuestra cena de boda y pagado el depósito desde el año pasado. Sin embargo, de repente nos llaman para cancelar nuestra reserva unas semanas antes de nuestra boda y nos informan que el restaurante cerrará en 2 semanas, en junio. Alguien del equipo directivo prometió que nos ayudarían a reservar un nuevo lugar (es muy difícil encontrar un restaurante para grupos grandes en el último minuto) y nos transferirán una £ 400 libras para cubrir la diferencia de precio de la comida. Han pasado 4 meses. Hemos tratado de contactarlos, pero en realidad nadie ayuda para el nuevo lugar, tengo que resolver el problema yo mismo. No hay dinero recibido, aunque siguen diciendo excusa diferente, por ejemplo, perdieron mi número de cuenta, están de vacaciones, la cuenta lo hará mañana, la próxima semana, pasado mañana, etc. repetir y repetir, y luego desaparecer. Después de que estropearon mi cena de bodas, el responsable no quiere asumir ninguna responsabilidad. ¡Trata a los clientes habituales así, un mentiroso! Alguien si te encanta el lugar, ten cuidado.

We'd booked for breakfast at 10am. We turned up to find the restaurant wasn't open, with a member of staff waiting outside; the chef had overslept, was the only person with the keys, and wouldn't be there until 10.30. Another staff member showed up at that point and commented "oh, he's always late", so clearly not a one-off issue. We had plans for the day and got the sense we'd have a really long wait for food if we stayed, so we cut our losses at that point and left to find somewhere else (Olive & Rye, which was great). Having now read the reviews, I'm really glad we ditched as clearly there are a lot of issues with how this place is managed.

Not that great, didn't really enjoy it, nan wasn't actually a nan bread, more like a tortilla wrap that is almost like cardboard. I wouldn't go again

Such a cool little venue. Free entry on a Friday night with some amazing DJs, only spent an hour or two here but the music was banging and the vibes were great

Beetroot pasta was amazing . Skate wing fish a bit salty . Mouthwatering salad . Potatoes and asparagus very English cooked and not Italian . Would go again
