Fint in Leeds

Servicio muy lento y poco atento. Mesas sucias y pegajosas. Cubiertos sucios, tuvo que pedir cambiarlos y luego esperó por edades. Además, les tomó años traer algunos vasos para el agua del grifo. Una vez que llegamos, al camarero no le podía importar menos limpiar la mesa que reservamos y estaba de pie y bebiendo su café... En general, servicio extremadamente lento y decepcionante! Parece que todos trabajan allí el primer día y no saben lo básico del servicio en lugares de comida

Hemos estado en Fint antes (octubre de 2023 ) , y la última vez, tuve el que era fácilmente mi desayuno favorito de la historia. Así que estábamos deseando volver, pero honestamente, fue una gran decepción. Cada elemento del desayuno era deficiente. La salchicha sabía a Quorn en lugar de la deliciosa y única que comí la última vez, el huevo estaba demasiado cocido y seco, los hongos eran absolutamente incomestibles porque pesaban mucho en el anís, y los frijoles eran de alguna manera acuosos y secos. La tostada era de baja calidad, y la tortita de patata, que anteriormente era ligera y crujiente, era solo estría grasienta. Además de eso, el servicio no era genial, y realmente se siente como si todo el lugar se hubiera ido cuesta abajo. Parece que han cambiado todos sus ingredientes de alta calidad por alternativas baratas, pero mantienen los mismos precios (muy altos). Es una pena porque nos encantó antes, pero después de esta experiencia, no volveremos. Las dos primeras fotos están hoy comparadas con la misma comida alrededor de la 1. Hace 5 años.

Went for dinner a couple of weeks ago. Very underwhelming. The food was bland and textureless, just a mushy blob that really tasted of nothing. Extremely overpriced. Would definitely not recommend for dinner.

Visited for the first time and it was very disappointing. The service was awful, very cold and the waiter seemed too bored to do their job. The food mediocre. Not worth the money. When the drinks arrived they served us a bottle of cold water which when I poured water in my glass had a strange thing inside like mold (not very obvious in photo it was a clear mass with black in the middle) I assumed it is from a fridge/freezer water dispenser or something similar, we’ve told the waiter and didn’t charge us our drinks for the inconvenience, but honestly it didn’t make much of a difference as it is quite dangerous and seems they don’t clean properly. I won’t be returning.

We got the nutella pancakes and sourdough french toast, they were very tasty! The café is quite creative with the menu and it works! Great atmosphere and service as well :)

A terrible experience, beginning to end. I’ve been to this place a few years ago, it was lovely, food was good, service was great and place stylish. This is all gone. We’ve booked for lunch, we were not really acknowledged by the staff when we entered. We had to leave the property by 1:15, we arrived at 12, food was served at 13:00. We ordered coffee, we received our coffees, with dirty spoons, dirty cups (we had to ask for it to be cleaned) and then they spilled coffee, almost burning me and on top of it we had to clean ourselves !!! They didn’t even cleaned it. Not even offering more kitchen towels to dry it, we had to ask. A disaster. The order of food was chaotic, long story short, no mushroom anymore (ok) but never mentioned what we could ask for replacing this missing item on the menu. When my friend ask for halloumi instead, they didn’t seem to understand and had to ask multiple times. Ordered English breakfasts and eggs Benedict, don’t expect a poached egg you won’t get poached ones, just a cooked egg. Service was bad, food was average. There’s nicer places to go for brunch/lunch/breakfast than this. It is so overrated and overpriced.

Boring expensive food, the dullest, most tasteless vegan meal I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Service was fine but they need a decent chef.

Atmosphere was cold, non-existent service and the food was bad: over salted to the point of being inedible and drowned in sauce (ruining any crunchy parts of the dishes)

Mi pareja y yo fuimos a Fint para el brunch después de visitar previamente en marzo de 2024 y quedar impresionados por la calidad de la comida, especialmente para aquellos que necesitan comer sin gluten. Pedí el desayuno FINT y me dijeron al pedir que la cocina se había quedado sin la salchicha de manzana y estragón (eran las 12 de un sábado y abrió a las 10 ). Le pregunté si podía obtener más de uno de los artículos ya que las salchichas son una parte bastante grande del desayuno y me dijeron que podía obtener tocino extra que estaba contento con. Nuestro camarero entonces sacó el desayuno que no tenía nada de tocino extra y comparando la foto de esta misma comida de nuestro último viaje (he adjuntado la foto de la misma comida exacta de nuestro primer viaje en marzo de 2024 y de este viaje para comparar) , pude ver que tenía las 3 erupciones habituales de tocino. Decidí no quejarme y solo preferí comer en este punto solo para encontrar que los frijoles estaban fríos y duros. Los frijoles eran frijoles blancos que no se pueden comer crudos. Le dije a nuestro camarero que estaban crudos y él dijo que hablaría con la cocina y cuando regresó dijo que la cocina dijo “sí, no coma los frijoles si están crudos” sin disculpas ni ofrecimiento de cocinarlos. Entonces me di cuenta de que en el desayuno faltaban los hongos encurtidos, lo que significa que faltaban dos artículos y uno no era comestible. Mientras estábamos allí escuché a alguien más tratando de ordenar algo solo para que le dijeran que también estaban fuera de algo. El camarero que nos atendió fue muy servicial y disculparse por los problemas y golpeó nuestros dos cafés de la cuenta (£ 8 en total), pero realmente debería haber golpeado la comida. El otro camarero que entraba y salía del lugar para vapear varias veces fue particularmente grosero con un vagabundo que le preguntó si podía usar el inodoro, a lo que burlonamente dijo "sí definitivamente la próxima vez". En general, la calidad del servicio y la comida ha disminuido considerablemente y significa que no volveremos a visitar y recomendaremos que otros eviten.

Not given many sub 4 star reviews in my time but felt I had to here unfortunately. First off, the food itself was very good. The service however... I don't consider myself to be particularly demanding but there were so many small and not so small things. It took our party of 6 an hour to get all of our drinks. Quite slow to take our order - I'm all for a relaxed vibe in a restaurant but the front of house were too relaxed and seemed disinterested. They also openly admitted they'd never made the drinks before. Shouldn't the staff be trained to make the drinks on the menu? The admission didn't seem to bother them either - which bothered me when paying £11/drink for 6 people. Then we find out that half the orders were unavailable as out of the right spirit. Then an age before the drinks arrive. But only 5/6 arrived. Then we all far too politely waited for another 15 mins before the waiter suddenly remembered that the 6th one wouldn't be arriving as another spirit was missing. Thanks for telling us! The restaurant was not busy and yet we had to ask several times for water for the table as well. As for the food order, the gaps between people receiving their plates was too long. The first person to receive their main was finishing by the time the last in the party received theirs. The plates weren't hot, and some of the food was therefore only just warm. Sides of potatoes - some were undercooked. Finally what really made me want to leave this review: the discretionary but automatically added service charge. In retrospect I wish I'd asked them to remove this but I don't like having to do that so took the easy way out.... But I resent being put in the position to have to ask for that charge to be removed.

First time visiting, very disappointing experience all around. Even though we had a table booked, service was slow, it felt like they were avoiding us, not checking in, not making eye contact. Very little interaction from the front of house staff who were clearly struggling to manage the volume of people they had seated. When our coffees finally came we were not provided sugar or a spoon to stir with. After waiting for my friend's drink for over 45 mins we were finally told after chasing that they don't actually have the ingredients for a green smoothie and should have been told, which obviously we have not been. The replacement drink came in a broken cup which is a health and safety hazard and I'm sure not okay to do so under any circumstances. The kitchen was an hour behind on orders but again we received no communication from the staff regarding this. The table next to us who arrived later started receiving bits of their order before us. The pancakes one of my friends ordered came separately 20 mins before the rest of our orders and again not provided cutlery, had to chase staff for it. When we finally received the rest of the food, we ordered 3 FINT breakfasts all 3 of the plates looked different and contained different things. Bits missing from one, doubles of other stuff on others completely inconsistent and annoying. The sausage was burnt, the bacon was a bit under done, poched egg over cooked, complete inconsistency with who's got what kind of bread. Whatever was missing they tried to make up for it in the number of crumpets. I'm sure a food is lovely when it's a normal day and not struggling with orders but this was our experience unfortunately. The whole experience left us very disappointed and we did end up asking for the food to be comped off the bill, which they did without argument.

Fint appears on a number of trendy food blogs and, given my family and I were on a weekend city break, we thought we would treat ourselves to something special. We arrived 5 minutes early and, despite our table being empty and set, were asked to wait outside for 5 minutes in the rain with two young kids. So not a great start but not a criminal offence given we WERE early- set a poor tone for the experience though and wasn’t the right thing to do. When we were seated we waited nearly 20 mins for an indifferent waitress to take our order- she’d been drying glasses previously so priorities. We ordered but she didn’t write it down (!!). The coffees arrived and my long black was decidedly short and lukewarm. Next, the food. I got the flint breakfast which was stone cold. My son’s Benedict didn’t arrive - because the order wasn’t written down and there was always going to be an issue. The table next to us overheard and it turns out that their order came out cold as well. Food came back hot and the Benedict arrived but we still had issues. For some reason you’ve got to spend an extra pound for sourdough toast with your breakfast, otherwise you get a slice of cheap, supermarket, sliced-white - incongruous when they seem to be making every effort to make the rest of the plate look as instagramable as possible- just give people the nice bread, we’re paying enough! My son’s Hollandaise was cold, curiously pale and too vinegary, plus his wild mushrooms turned out to be plain chestnut. My daughter got scrambled eggs on toast, except the toast was a slice of untoasted bread that got soggy. The crumpets, on the other hand, were very nice and my wife was pleased with her offering. The dishes, overall, looked better than they tasted, were riddled with small errors, cut corners and bad decisions, indicative of a kitchen favouring social media appeal over quality and enjoyment. To add to the average food and indifferent, inattentive service, we were cold because a window had been left open near our table, and there were no hand towels or a dryer in the toilets. If this were a soft opening then I could forgive, but then I wouldn’t be paying the full whack, high end prices. We didn’t pay the service charge and they took off our coffees, but we felt that the cold and missed off dishes should’ve been removed instead, but didn’t want to argue any more. If any of the trendy Leeds bloggers happen to read this review then can I suggest you give Fint another visit? I’m afraid it’s not what you promise and devalues your reputation as a food writer. Needless to say, we certainly won’t be returning.

Came here a year ago and had a great experience. This time it took 25 minutes to get a drink, 40 for food. When you only have the table for 1h15m it’s a little stressful with children! It wasn’t busy. The wine list is incorrect when we ordered a drink, we were told it didn’t exist. They forgot my daughter’s meal and got my friend’s order wrong. Citrus tofu was disappointing. As always food beautifully presented and interesting menu and cocktails. Coffee beans nice but ordered a flat white and very frothy. More like a cappuccino. Overall good food, but everything seemed to lack the important details this time!

I dined at FINT on 13/02/2024 for the evening menu, and it was a complete disappointment. Upon arrival, the server didn’t even ask about my reservation—not surprising, considering the restaurant was pretty empty. The atmosphere was cold in every sense of the word. The interior lacked warmth, and the temperature was uncomfortably low. Despite being seated closest to an electric heater, it barely made a difference The food was gross. I ordered the pork belly, drawn in by the promise of fennel-salted crackling. The menu made no mention of a sauce, yet what arrived was a bowl of gravy soup in which the pork was drowning. As a Yorkshireman, I usually welcome extra gravy, but this was an over-salted, flavour destroying mess. It rendered the crackling soggy, overpowered any other ingredients and the pork itself was overcooked and chewy. My partner’s dish was slightly better but still underwhelming. He had the gnocchi, which was well made, but drenched in a bland, excessive sauce. To make matters worse, service was painfully slow. With only three occupied tables, a small menu, and staggered orders, there was no excuse for the long wait. Bad food can sometimes be forgiven if the service is good, but here, the server made zero effort—slow, inattentive, and never even checked in on us, this is basic customer service 101. We left frustrated and hungry, eventually grabbing nachos from Neon Cactus—ironically, a place not known for food but one that still delivered 10 times the flavour. I would not recommend FINT to anyone. This meal was supposed to be a thoughtful gift from my sister, but I refuse to associate her kind gesture with such a miserable experience.

La peor experiencia que he presenciado. Esperé 20 minutos para el café, esperé 45 minutos para la comida fría y fuimos los primeros en sentarnos y los primeros que nos sirvieron comida. Lo único bueno es que sentí pena por el camarero joven que nos atendió como hizo todo lo posible, pero la organización y el servicio al cliente en general era muy pobre. Nunca volveré a visitar como antes lo disfruté aquí. No sé lo que ha pasado, pero no puedo ver que exista en esta época el próximo año. POR FAVOR EVITE

El restaurante estaba bastante vacío cuando llegamos allí, lo que fue sorprendente teniendo en cuenta que era un viernes por la noche y también sentía frío. La comida no era genial, especialmente el vientre de cerdo a un costo de £ 23. 50 por porción. Llegó en un plato de servir tipo pasta nadando en salsa delgada tibia con brócoli empapado, de aspecto triste. La carne en sí era más barriga que cerdo y en su mayoría dura. Las verduras adicionales que pedimos, las patatas hasselback, llegaron después de que habíamos terminado y en realidad no estaban molestas, sino hervidas y duras. El camarero los retiró de nuestra cuenta porque los habíamos esperado mucho tiempo, pero notamos que otras verduras de los comensales también llegaban tarde y pedidos equivocados. Decidimos no pedir pudín. A los precios que se cobran, que se sitúan en el extremo medio superior, Fint realmente necesita ordenar su organización de alimentos y cocinas.

Meh. Had brunch here and it took forever and there were only 2 tables in. Not worth the money or the hype. Much better places in Leeds.

Nice cozy place but was cold as hell! Just wondering if the heater wasn’t working on that particular day or it’s always like that. Really loved the Gnocchi and salad!

Really simple but sophisticated flavours. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the sweetcorn soup was probably the best soup I've ever had in my life - so creamy and delicious. Shared a bottle of wine between three of us and it was very reasonable.

The food is just absolutely incredible. I'd never eaten Scandinavian before and I definitely will again. Our server, Reece, was so lovely and helpful and seemed genuinely very happy that we'd enjoyed it. The restaurant is a little on the cold side but that could just be me! Nothing a glass of wine can't fix. Will definitely be visiting again.

We were really looking forward to dinner here but it was a bit like faulty towers since the time we arrived. We tried to order a cocktail, but were told they didn’t have the majority of ingredients for any, and couldn’t replace any ingredients to create us any. We then ordered some fizz which was then warm. They took our order and then said the kitchen wasn’t open for another 15 mins so would have to wait for then, we waited quite a while and it really wasn’t worth the wait. The friend ordered the fish which was so fishy and the cauliflower and fennel with it was so bland. My pork belly was so chewy and there was sadly not an ounce of crack ling just flabby fat. We hardly ate anything and it was one of the worst meals Iv ever had. We had to stop for a takeaway on the way home which was significantly better. Avoid at all costs!

No sé si fue la noche que fuimos o si generalmente ha bajado cuesta abajo, pero nuestra experiencia esta noche fue horrible. El servicio era descuidado / inexistente, las opciones de menú no existían (a pesar del menú limitado) , algunos elementos no llegaron, y la comida era sosa y mal cocinada. Dado el precio que esperaría mucho más. No volveremos de nuevo, lo que es una pena ya que nuestra visita anterior fue fantástica.

Visited recently with a friend and had an OK experience overall. The veggie breakfast was tasty, especially the well-seasoned bowl of beans, and the turmeric latte was fantastic. That said, please ensure you provide customers with an itemised receipt before taking payment, and confirm the total balance with customers when taking payment. When we asked the waiter how much the total amount was, he replied "50 something pounds"... they also charged service charge without asking if we wanted to pay this. We did not get a receipt so we paid blindly. It’s not the cheapest option—over £50 for two breakfasts, and two coffees each—but being in LS1 and near Park Square, the price probably reflects the location.

Honestly, this is such a shame as we had been in wanting to go for a while and saw FINT has some glowing reviews in the past. However I wish we had looked over the more recent reviews. The food was pretty bad. The starters were basic, with the rye bread having quite a stale texture. The main of pork was very chewy and the knife really struggled to get through it. The restaurant itself was cold and uninviting. I can not really comment on the staff as we barely saw any. In fact I think our server probably said about 5 words to us from entering the place to leaving. I will say, the merlot was had was really nice but only had the 1 glass as the server never came back. Overall just a really disappointing experience.

Really disappointing. We sat down and had to grab the menus ourselves from the stand. waited ages before anyone approached us, gave us a bottle of water and no glasses so we couldn’t even drink it. someone finally came to take our drinks order, we asked for glasses just to be told “we dont have any at the moment”. finally got glasses halfway through the meal. I ordered the fint breakfast which was missing an egg. My friend was charged for tofu that was already included in the meal (this was later fixed). not a great experience at all and poor customer service

So sad to leave this review. FINT used to be one of the best restaurants in Leeds but it has fallen a long way. It was unbearably cold inside, we both had to sit with our coats on the whole time and we were still shivering. The food was served lukewarm at best and wasn't of the best quality. The menu has changed, not for the better and is quite limited. It was not good value for money at all. The service was polite, if a bit casual. I love Scandinavian food and it would be such a shame to lose the only one we have in Leeds with FINT but something needs to change fast.

Firstly the restaurant was freezing! I ordered the soup which came luke warm, with a tiny portion of stale bread. The main of sea bream was even worse, the cauliflower and fennel were so bland and watery. This used to be such a lovely restaurant but the food is now terrible :(

On arrival outside, looks promising but... Table surface sticky, menu dirty, pork dry with unpleasant gravy, very heavy, dense chocolate cake. Service unwelcoming and unfriendly. Lack of passion for food and hospitality. Wouldn't recommend.

Muy mediocre. Como se ha mencionado, el cerdo del vientre (que es bastante fácil de cocinar, seamos honestos) era tan duro que apenas podía cortarlo. No vale la £ 25 por 2 platos (más 10% de recargo). Sentí lástima por las dos chicas sirviendo, o habría dejado el recargo. Parecía que tenían poco personal. Pero me temo que la comida fue muy decepcionante. En un lado positivo, buen ambiente y buena música calmante.

Fint, where did it all go wrong? We’ve been coming for years, at one stage it was my favourite restaurant in Leeds - I even hosted 12 friends for a birthday brunch (Feb 2023). But the last two visits - Feb 2024 & today (Nov), it’s been really disappointing. We had brunch today - we waited for 45min for a Fint breakfast & a porridge. The waitress was sweet & apologetic and offered a complimentary drink each to make up for the wait. We watched as people around us received the wrong orders, or cold food & sent it back. When it finally arrived, the porridge, although the flavours were nice, was so watery we referred to it as porridge soup. It was so strange - I almost rejected it but was so hungry by then. My husband’s Fint breakfast was underwhelming and we were surprised the toast was white bread. Having spent time in Scandinavia, they are well known for amazing bread (seeded sourdough, rye etc). And quite expensive at just under £15. The staff were sweet & tried but overall we had the impression there was confusion and something not working well in the kitchen. Such a shame as we love the concept & atmosphere, I hope they can get back to the high standards they used to offer.

Coffee was nice, but not pleasing to the eye (milk was haphazardly swirled on top). Staff seemed to not care too much and forgot to give me a menu for ~10 minutes, my table was sticky and unlaid, and the bar was cluttered with empty drinks cups/smoothie glasses with straws sticking out of them. Food looks amazing, although only got a coffee, but the atmosphere was kind of strange. A shame, given how much I was looking forward to try this spot! Edit: also flat white was £4.13!!

Great place to go for delicious dinner

Ate here last night, food was really poor, most of us had main courses that were cold (pork) and over cooked. Starters were average at best, as was dessert. Only had one can of IPA and some of the wines were out of stock (wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t a very limited wine list).

What an incredible food spot. Scandi feel, pristine surroundings, really friendly staff who make you feel at ease, relaxed and help you enjoy the incredible food. The warm blueberry crumble and ice cream was the best way to finish the meal. I can’t wait to come back and try their brunch!

Pre booked a table the day before, on turning up it appeared that our booking had not come through/ been up dated so staff where unable to seat us(I had email confirmation) however said to give them a few minutes while they waited for another booking to turn up / we were told if they didn’t turn up we could have the table! Although we had pre booked? We waited outside - there were 2 empty tables. We eventually got a table on being seated we got given the menus, and were left for a very long period without being given / offered water and even asking if we would like any drinks. Another table that came in after us had water given on arrival and served before us! We finally got served after asking if we could order, after a long period only one drink(smoothie) had been served still waiting for 2 other coffees, which again we had to prompt staff for, we then got informed that they had run out of sourdough bread this was on all 3 brunch orders, we got offered an alternative of crumpets or normal bread! Appreciate that this was off menu and our preferred choice we were informed that would not be a problem on ordering / would you not ensure that staff were informed of any food shortages prior to taking bookings ? Would you not ensure you had enough food for a busy Sunday to cover service as sourdough was on other menu choices? by this time we had still not received the other 2 coffees. We made the decision after really poor service to leave and go somewhere else (Olive and Rye) We would not recommend Fint no attention to detail/ service poor / unable to run under weekend demands. Olive and Rye excellent service / great food menu / well recommended.

Love this place, excellent food at a reasonable price for the quality offered. I've been three times now and never been disappointed. Really nice decor and friendly staff, Alex was a friendly host who even offered to play our music of choice!

I have dined in at Fint a number of times, each visit has always been pleasant. Friendly staff, great customer service & wonderful food. Atmosphere feels fresh & homey. Would recommend for a Sunday brunch!

Lovely breakfast here. The open sandwich was unlike anything I've ever eaten. Fabulous!

It's nice, simple but effective food. We had the sea bass and pork belly which were decent, but not remarkable given the price point. They didn't have any beer whatsoever, which was a little odd. Deserts were exceptional, portions generous and well priced. Not sure I'd come again, but that's not because of anything in particular - this simply isn't my style of cuisine.

Fantastic and delicious food with helpful and friendly staff who assisted us with our dietary requirements. Would visit again and would recommend to others.

Some of the rudest, coldest service I’ve ever experienced. The discretionary service charge was a hilarious twist.

Returned here hoping that the service would have improved since my last visit. Unfortunately not only was the service just as rude, the food was also reduced in quality. Sadly I think this once-great brunch staple is on the decline.

If I lived in Leeds I would work my way through the entire menu! Really, really nice food, great drinks selection and a lovely comfortable feel to the place. Recommended.

Lady was very accommodating. We asked for a quiet warm corner. Food was nice and more than expected. Downside were other customers going in and out and letting the door bang closed.

Nipped in after a visit to the hospital. Delicious crumpets made on site and served with apple and cinnamon butter. Lovely strong coffee. Really friendly staff.

I went there with two friends for breakfast today. We arrived around 10.30 on a Sunday without a reservation but they immediately offered us a table at the back. They offered us water as we sat down and gave us the brunch menu and drinks menu. My friends both chose the vegan breakfast and I chose the "pain perdu" French toast. We had two glasses of orange juice and one latte with our meals. We didn't wait very long for our food. The vegan breakfasts looked good and my friends enjoyed them. The French toast was also good but we all agreed that it was quite a small portion for its price. It seemed to me that what you pay for is more the nice atmosphere and the nice presentation. My French toast did look very, very nice. I was personally a bit disappointed with my meal but my friends were happy with their choice of breakfast. Overall we enjoyed a meal together in a restaurant with a nice atmosphere. I won't go again personally, it isn't for me. But I have recommended it to my friends who may have this budget for a meal. Prices: £11 for the French toast £13.75 for the vegan breakfast £3.50 for the glass of orange juice £3.75 for the latte 10% discretionary service charge CASH: correct change only Vegan, veggie and GF: They ask you when ordering a hot drink if you prefer dairy or oat. They have a lot of veggie options. Most of the options on the menu can be made vegan and/or gluten-free on request.

I went there Friday for a quick lunch. It looked like the waitress didn't want to be there as she looked annoyed by the people who came in. Food is too expensive for its quality.

Giving an extra star only because they removed service tax after we complained about the food. I ordered pancakes. I was really disappointed. They were dry as if they were stale or something.

Food, vibes and people 10/10. Would highly recommend. Everything we had was delicious and the people are genuine and very friendly.

Used to love this place but unfortunately it seems very different these days. Waited for food for over an hour before accepting it was time to say something. The waitress brushed us off before going to check downstairs and then returning to admit that they had lost our order and asked for it again. Our coffee mugs were sticky and dirty with stains down them while the coffee itself was very poor. When the food finally did arrive, it was really really poor which was disappointing because it all sounded nice on the menu. To top it all off, they added service charge and did not give us any discount, just a complimentary additional round of drinks that we would never have ordered ourselves. It’s a shame as this used to be my favourite brunch spot. Will not be returning.

Of 4 mains, 2 were unavailable but we weren't told that until after first drinks. First course was served 1 HR 45 mins after we arrived. Waiter tried hard but nobody took responsibility for poor service from kitchen. Keep the staff but hang the owner/ manager!

It was OK, but the proprietors need more experience. Front of house guy was very pleasant, but not 'on it', and either the chef didn't know how to cook a fried egg with no uncooked albumin, or he didn't convey my wishes correctly. When the egg arrived, it was so obviously uncooked on top of the yoke, so I pointed this out. It was taken away and put in the oven for a while ................. ended up hard and was delivered back to me as my friend was finishing her meal. Great concept, poorly delivered.

Great vegan options. Also catered for non gluten diet. Great food, excellent customer service, lovely cafe. It would be amazing if there's baby change facilities, however that didn't impact my experience with FINT. 5 stars 👍

Food was pretty good, service inexistent. Two staff members for 5 tables. This is how it went. Took 20 mins to take our order. The drinks we ordered weren't available so we ordered another which also weren't available so they left us with the drinks menu to have a think and 10 mins later our third choice also wasn't available. Our fourth option luckily it was. We are now 40mins in and waiting for some bread and butter which finally comes at the 50min mark. Bread was meh at best but the butter pretty good. Starters came around at 1h. Again, food was pretty good. Somewhere around 1h30mins they finally take our plates and ask us if we want dessert? No thank you, I'd rather have my main first. I get it, we've been so long that it was time for dessert. Main comes at 1h50mins, again food was good. Then nothing for 30mins, we wait and wait and wait and wait while the staff is doing nothing until we get tired of waiting, get the bill and go somewhere else for dessert. This is not even about the staff being slow. They just didn't care at all. This is probably the worst service I have ever had. The food was good though, a shame we won't be going back thanks to that appalling service.

Been here before via brunch but this time for dinner, lovely food that isn't too heavy, I started with soup and risotto and gf ended up with confit tomato on toast and sea bream. We were not disappointed and just the right time and not too busy kept atmosphere romantic. Staff were sound and attentive.

The ambience is lovely, the service was spot on, unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. We had bread and butter which tasted like a few slices of supermarket sourdough with some grainy mustardy butter. For £4 I was hoping for freshly baked rather than ever so slightly stale around the edges. For main course we had pork belly. The dish itself needs a side of potatoes and the potatoes were a 10/10 but the Pork Belly has clearly been cooked on far too high a temperature - It was almost impossible to eat. It was dry, tough and chewy. It sat in what I can only describe as fairly bland tasteless gravy with a lot of Kale. Whilst that did provide some welcome moisture it was a very disappointing dish and not worth (with the side of potatoes) £28. We did mention how tough the pork was and they removed the service charge from our meal. This was appreciated. I wouldn’t go back again for dinner - the brunch options look much better than the dinner options.

There's a good range of vegan and non vegan options, so everyone was satisfied with their choices. The service was fast and the food tasted good. The only downside for me is that they're a bit out of town. It means you'll likely get a table tho at least!

Wow. Food was amazing. I had the open sandwich with goats cheese and flavours went beautifully together, I would recommend getting the bacon just because it tasted so nice. Stole some of my dads breakfast (beans and sausage punched me in the face and I said thank you). The bread on the sandwich was a little stodgy, reminiscent of what I’d imagine the Middle Ages to be before they invented flavour, but I cannot speak for Scandinavia so maybe that’s how they do it. Style was very minimalist and modern. I recommend the cinnamon tea don’t let it sit too long though, lady even refilled it! Angelic experience. Toilet good too (free moisturiser!)

Fabulous food service and lovely interiors

One of the coolest places in Leeds. Amazing food, really friendly staff and chill atmosphere. Beautiful decor. Especially recommended the porridge and veggie/vegan breakfast. The teas are also delicious and beautifully served.

Don't let this place Scam you. Prices are not listed on the drinks menu (because they obviously know they are overcharging). There are reviews from 3 weeks ago complaining this is a violation of consumer rights and they claimed its a "printing error". The fact they haven't remedied this so-called "printing error" makes clear its just their sneaky ploy to charge ridiculous prices for drinks. Deceitful, desperate, disgusting, waste of money. Update : I do not want an apology, I want a refund for the drinks I was illegally overcharged for. This issue has not been rectified until we receive our refund. We have emailed you the basis on which we are willing to rescind our Trading Standards Office complaint. If not refunded within 8 working days, it Will be escalated.

Left here feeling scammed. They don't list drinks prices (so dodgy), so we asked the waitress the wine bottle prices. Sneaky lady says "they are all different prices, but I would recommend this mid-range bottle" and proceeds to charge us for the most expensive bottle (£47). Then charges a ridiculous service charge for worst service in Leeds. Food tasted like literally NOTHING, blandest meal ever. Don't waste your money.

Unbelievably rude staff. Saturday morning, desperate for a coffee and everywhere shut until we spot this place. We can see through the window they have a coffee machine and takeaway cups. Walk up the counter and ask for a flat white. Am glared at I assume by the manager and asked if I have a booking (the place is half empty). No I say do you not do takeaway? Points to another girl and says well she can make them for you when she’s finished what she’s doing….then a big sigh well I guess I can make it for you. Seriously don’t push yourself!!!! I needed a coffee otherwise I’d have walked out. Staff need some lessons in service

The eggs benedict and lattes we ordered were a bit underwhelming. The coffee was watery and bitter, and not in the nice way. The eggs needed a bit more of salt and 60% of the dish was bread. I personally didn’t like that thick bland bread as it didn’t balance well with the rest of ingredients. We paid almost £20 each and despite the service being excellent, it’s not worth the money.

What a strange experience - atmosphere seemed off when we walked in un-attentive staff, other tables food came out missing items ordered. Tasteless food. Pork belly was cremated. Wine list without prices (I’m pretty sure this is against consumer rights) - apparently a printing error 🙄 - press print again if that’s the reason…. Definitely overpriced and not to be visited again.

Service was brilliant, really attentive. Food was good and to a good quality. Given four stars as could have been hotter when served and beans were slightly undercooked, but would still go again.

Not been before but will be back. Both had sea bream with fennel. cauliflower roasted with cumin, lemon and white bean puree and hasselbaback potatoes. Lively. For dessert it was lemon posdet and for me the best (Swedish) chocolate cake ever. Great coffee to round it off!

The food was mixed, starters lovely, creative and tasty. Mains let it down, the belly pork was undercooked and butternut squash cold, the seabream was nice. The service was not attentive as usual. It was all average overall, therefore I wouldn't rush back.

Went for the eggs benedict with ham hock and kale. It's delicious and actually very filling, The crumpets are huge. Decent americano as well. Thanks FINT

Lovely place 10 mins walk from the station - the beetroot gnocchi with citrus tofu was insanely good - one of the best vegan meals I've ever had. The vegan breakfast was also nice especially the potato pancake that came with it. Their green smoothie was sublime such a good flavor combo! Highly recommend to check out this place if you're in Leeds!

Aspirational restaurant on a street in transition - some interesting places along here including a bookshop but also some vacancies. Food is well presented and staff are professional. It was cold inside on a cold day, but staff are very good at policing the front door and keeping it closed.

I will say, the atmosphere was lovely, and the quality of food was good as a British shop, so it is definitely one of the nicest place to eat out for a light meal. Except, the price was absolutely overcharged. I ordered their gnocchi, which the food portion was very light and small, but they charged over £18 for this, which is unbelievably expensive for this snack portion! I'm not a big eater, but made me hungry after two hours or so...

We booked for dinner for our 30th wedding anniversary (mentioned on the online booking form) as we’d been once before and liked the food. We were seated at the table near the toilets / kitchen - we thought that might be because other tables had been booked, but that wasn’t the case. The food was good but there were some disappointments. The olives we ordered were standard supermarket-style green olives which were very cold so it seemed they had just been taken out of the fridge. The flavour of the confit tomato starter was ok, but not “amazing” as our waitress had promised. The sea bass main came with roasted fennel but we were told the kitchen had run out of fennel so they were serving it with roasted broccoli instead. This was a shame as we had ordered roasted broccoli as a side, but the order had already been taken. The citrus tofu added to the gnocchi main had a tasty coating but was bland inside. The waitress agreed to relay this to the chef. We have no complaints as we had a nice evening but we felt the attention to detail wasn’t there as it had been on our previous visit. And I was disappointed no-one said anything about it being our 30th wedding anniversary - it made me wonder why the online form had space for extra information if the staff don’t read it.

Food was good, coffee good. We barely finished eating before being asked to pay and go as other people needed the table (which we'd booked) so a bit rude tbh.

Not good. Staff very friendly, no problems on the customer service front overall. My fish was red in the middle and lukewarm, I'm not a fish expert, chef claimed this is normal, hopefully it is for my sake. Hasselback potatoes were genuinely cold and pretty obviously had been hanging around for a while. Girlfriend's mojito had rotting mint leaves in it, didn't taste right and served in a small wine glass. Complained about the fish, potatoes and black mint leaves and got 50% off my fish meal and the mojito. Didn't want to complain further but realistically the mojito should have been knocked off the bill entirely and in my opinion the same for the fish and potatoes. Overall feel robbed as they charged a premium for awful food and drink and didn't discount heavily enough.

After reading the reviews I expected better. It felt like somewhere newly opened, not terribly professional. The place was virtually empty on a Monday lunchtime. My companion wasn’t served what he ordered, we didn’t have enough time to ask for it to be replaced. By way of apology the service charged wasn’t added to the bill but we were still charged the higher price for the wrong order. Food was just OK, definitely not worth making a return visit for. Maybe my expectations were too high but came away disappointed.

I am not quite sure how they manage to mess up a single English breakfast (the version of it they are serving). Everything was clearly made a day or two before and they didn't even care to warm it up.....Terrible unfortunately

Amazing brunch, especially the bacon

Brilliant small cafe with very tasty, interesting food with a Scandinavian vibe. Bit quiet when we went in at lunchtime but was more lively later. Great friendly staff.

Worst experience so far in Leeds. Food is okay, but the customer service is awful. When I walked into FINT, there’s only one guy with a rap star outfit, wearing earphones, chatting on the phone and didn’t bother to say a word to greet us. Fine. We sit down, he brought menus ( still chatting on the phone) didn’t say anything about the food or menu, and he went back to the till enjoying his phone call. There were no one else in the room and he is quite loud. So that’s basically it, if you enjoy a zero table service meal and waiter chatting on the phone, this could be a perfect spot. He also never mentions allergies. And this place is expensive two people spend 30quid and we didn’t have a drink.

So glad I found Fint. Great vegan food and lovely drinks in a really relaxing atmosphere. Thanks for letting me chill out for a little while before a hospital appointment (hospital nearby)

This is my first time at the restaurant and I loved it. The food was sensational and the place and service is lovely. We are the vegan dishes on the menu and all were interesting and delicious. Will definitely come back.

Best brunch I’ve had! So so yummy. I got the full vegetarian breakfast and was blown away with the flavours. Unique, but with that same comfort. Generous portions. Highly enjoyable and the drinks were great too. Will definitely return!

Very classy breakfast venue. Decor and background music calming. Great coffee, tea in fancy glass tea pots, my son reckoned the hot chocolate was the best he'd had. Food really good, it's fancy, protein volumes lower than some places but the other elements make up for it. I'm going to be trying to figure out how they make the pickled mushrooms. All in all a joy inducing start to the day.
