What a fab place. Came here because I was gifted vouchers for a few gin boards but we stayed for a good 5-hour shift. The spirit selection is fab. I love the Gin lucky dip (£5.50 for a mystery g+t) - great idea! I think we inhaled a good 8-10 gins from the lucky dip on top of our tasting boards! Very reasonably priced and great service! Highly recommend!

Absolutely fabulous experience at the Wine Tasting event. So informative without being boring & full measures. Don't be put off by the exterior of the building maintenance at the moment, as you'll be entertained by Tom & his stories along with his knowledge. If you know nothing about wine , you'll learn lots about wine, equally, if you know a little bit about wine you'll learn something. Thanks Lazy Lounge 😊

Went with my husband for the Gin & Whisky tasting boards, on a Groupon voucher yesterday! It was excellent, very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff. We really enjoyed the experience & would certainly recommend.

We enjoy visiting This Bar and have alway found the staff to be friendly and helpful . However this was not the case on Saturday the 25th March. My husband had ordered the Gin sharing Boards from-a voucher . When the sharing board arrived at the table it was for 1 Person when he asked where the other board was she said he hadn’t ordered two . The voucher was for two has he explained when when redeeming the voucher. Her attitude was not one we have experienced from lazy lounge staff before. She persisted in saying he should have said two boards. Is that what the voucher is two sharing Gin boards? Also she proceeded to say “we are stopping serving at 4.30 the time was 4pm. We had already seen the notice about the private party at 5pm . Which is the reason why we used the voucher early so we could leave promptly before this time. Very bad attitude of the girl. If she happens to see this review . She knows who she is and she needs to change her attitude the customer is always right. I work in hospitality myself. So in this instance the customer was actually right .

Brilliant wine tasting. My friend purchased for my 40th Birthday. Just got round to redeeming it. Host was very knowledgeable and entertaining . Wine samples were very generous. Met some lovely like minded people. I would highly recommend .Even if you come here for just a wine you will get the best .

Brilliant Gin tasting for 6 people. Super knowledge and very generous drinks. Highly recommended. Snacks were great as well.

Emailed Saturday morning to book a groupon wine tasting deal (still being sold). No reply so rang Tuesday afternoon. Girl refused to take a message, said she’d prompt the manager to read his emails, she knew he hadn’t. Wednesday still no reply. We were wanting to go today. Now asked groupon for a refund. Unprofessional. Such a shame, nice place.

A friend and I came for the wine and gin taster boards. The wine and gin drinks were very good quality, but the nibbles were almost non existent! As we were hungry we asked for the food menu to be told they don’t sell food any more, even though there are lots of food pictures still on their website! It is beautiful inside and such a shame about this.

I have good memories of this place but on a recent visit they said they had stopped serving food since the pandemic. I used to meet friends here for an evening meal and I think it works less well as just a drinks place. But still it was a good atmosphere.

Got one of the wine & one of the whiskey tasting platters. The snacks were basic but nice (we went after a meal & a bite of each was enough). The whiskeys were surprisingly good given the price; smooth without any burn. The wines were also nice enough; I don't drink a lot of wine but it was nice to try a few different tastes. We sat outside & people watched a bit. Overall really nice & the little interaction we had with staff was positive. We had gone the day before for a quick drink & they have a few games out too, which was a bit of fun.

Went to the Lazy Lounge Leeds for a wine gathering for my birthday. What a fantastic day we had and will definitely be doing it again. The wine and food were excellent. Really good value for money. Staff we fantastic and looked after us for the period we were there. Fantastic atmosphere. Cannot stress enough how much a visit is a must.

I really like this bar and so took my mum for the gin tasting afternoon for her birthday. The set up was lovely with a little afternoon tea and great gins to taste (good measures too). The host was lovely but talked pretty much non-stop for 2.5 hours straight with no breaks. Some interesting information about the history of gin but he talked so fast through it it was hard to digest it. Plus he had to shout to the group over the punters as the bar filled up over the course of the afternoon. Not what expected, a little too serious and left feeling exhausted.

Such a wonderful gin gathering experience! We couldn’t have asked for more from the lazy lounge - 6 gins and an incredible food platter of cakes, sandwiches and scones! It should be advertised more as people are really missing out on such a treat - everyone in our party absolutely loved this! Thanks to Imogen for looking after us!

Fantastic staff, absolutely wonderful to be around. Booze was priced well. Definitely a must go if you're ever in Leeds

Ordered one of their gin spritzers - a single measure of gin in a huge balloon glass topped to the brim with soda water (approx 500ml) and ice. Guess what? It only tasted of soda water! For a place that claims to be a gin bar/gin focused I'm not convinced they've ever actually drunk gin... Very limited beer choices for my partner, tired furniture and no menus out on tables. We didn't even finish our drinks and left to find somewhere else, Leeds has so many better options.

Becca and the team were really welcoming and friendly in what a nice find on our way into Leeds. Good drinks menu in particular the gin options and the happy 4 hours with Kozel lager at £2.50 really was good to have.Def recommend as a couple, with the lads or friends and I here the food was pretty good to

Our gin tasting was cancelled which we weren't aware of! However, our booking was handled exceptionally well so was not a problem at all. Staff great. Clean well stocked friendly bar. We will return!

We arrived to finally redeem our gift of a gin tasting voucher to be told , most apologeticly, that the barman who does them was in hospital. They had tried to contact all customers and were mortified we had t been informed. We were offered a refund or a rebooking and by way of apology an additional voucher for the equivalent value of the tasting in free drinks ( £60)We stayed for a couple of delicious ( free) gins and are now looking forward to returning for our tasting and trying the food with our extra voucher. Simply excellent customer service .

Really nice bar and quirky surroundings, cocktails were amazing and the staff were friendly helpful and chatty. Would definitely return.

Just recently returned from a very enjoyable stay here at The Limes. The house is very characterful and is tastefully furnished and decorated, with a beautiful, large garden. We stayed in the four poster room, which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Lots of covid measures taken to minimise risk. Lovely breakfast too. As others have said, the owners are excellent hosts, and fully deserve their good reputation. Would stay here again in an instant.

Nos dieron un regalo de cata de ginebra, vino o whisky en L. L, así que elegimos vino. Nos dieron tres copas de vino, dos rojas y una blanca. Vinieron con queso y galletas y un brownie. Cada vino representaba un tipo de queso y galleta o el brownie. La señora explicó los diferentes tipos de vino. Este lugar tiene un gran ambiente limpio y nos sentimos muy relajados. Los cócteles eran 2 4 10 y se veían geniales! La bebida tiene un precio razonable y sirven comida. ¡No puedo esperar para regresar!

It was absolutely amazing, would definitely recommend. It was so good we are thinking of going good back for a second time with some friends!

Sentado en la zona del bar con cómodas heces y suministro de agua y sabrosos sándwiches y pasteles. Lo siento, pero perdí el nombre de los propietarios cuando saltó a la mesa y se presentó, ¡directamente en una charla muy amigable e informativa sobre los orígenes de la ginebra que nunca supimos pero muy interesante junto con 10 tragos de ginebra! ! ! ! ! ! Disfruté muchísimo de la intuición sin parar, pero desafortunadamente parecía haber olvidado algo del conocimiento. ¿No sabes por qué? Tarda alrededor de 2 horas bien vale la pena el precio 25. 00 una ganga! Lugar peculiar como en una moderna zona de negocios pero dentro cálido y tímido con una gran cantidad de sabrosas comidas y bebidas. También hacer noches de vino y muy tentador! !

Had a fantastic time at the wine tasting. For £20 it really is great value. You try 6 wines and each one is pretty much a full glass. Tom really knows his stuff and it's really interesting. By the end of it you're pretty much hammered!!! Would absolutely recommend it.

We phoned up yesterday afternoon to book a table for dinner for 8pm, and were told they did not take bookings but could just turn up and would likely get a table. We turned up at 8 and found the eating area upstairs was reserved for a private function since 4pm. We asked at the bar and they said they were not serving food! How did the person answering the phone not know that they were not serving food that night?? Utterly incompetent, and the staff were rude when we told them we had been told to come only a few hours before!

I've been to Lazy Lounge a number of times due to it's proximity to my place of employment. I'm not giving this one too much attention, much like the staff, who are literally the most inattentive, slack and rude staff I've ever witnessed behind a bar. From dropping plates and walking off like moody teenagers to having unprofessional and innapropriate conversations rather than serving a bar full of customers, they let the place down. I'd have a serious rethink of your hiring strategy - do not recommend.

We booked Lazy lounge for our leaving doo with 20 close friends. We were very much looking forward to this event as it was our last weekend in Leeds before moving overseas. When we arrived we were greeted with sullen faces. However as we were all in a good mood and ready for a good night together for the last time, we didn’t let that dampen our night. However as the night went on, a number of my friends mentioned the service at the bar was terrible. We were ignored and yet again served with moody faces and lack of efficiency. An example of this was my friend ordering 2 pints of Asahi and charged £48. When my friend noticed she had been charged this on her card, the bar tender did not seem bothered and refunded her in cash and not on her card. Another example was when ordering espresso martinis, not one of the cocktails tasted the same or even similar and were only half full. When another couple of friends orders pints a bar tender rolled her eyes at them. I feel the overall vibe and mood of the staff at Lazy lounge was in fact lazy. However the Gin mixes were lovely and reasonably priced. I thoroughly enjoyed the special which was Malfy Gin with Lemon tonic. It was just unfortunate that the staff seemed to let the bar down.

Well how do I begin with this review. My wife decided that we should pop into Leeds on a Saturday for drinks and nibbles and to unwind from the week we had just had.This was not to be as the young man in the white tee shirt behind the counter decided for fun he would let out a very loud (rift) burp without a care in the world. No apologies, no nothing, and the young waitress also found this to be very hilarious. There was no hand over his mouth to prevent him spreading germs over the bar or the cutlery/plates etc that were in front of him when he did this. Not did he apologise!Would you now want to be served by this young man giving you cups and cutlery that his germs were all over. No you wouldn’t and I would assume you would talk with your feet and make a wide steer away from this establishment.I would not expect this of a nine year old far less someone working behind a bar. Therefore if this is allowed to happen with one member of staff with other members finding it hilarious what kind of management does it have?Hopefully the manager will be kind enough to respond to this but I doubt it, going by the way the staff were behaving.Some very very unhappy customersThe Pattersons

I bought a gift voucher for my friend and I to go to the gin tasting at Lazy Lounge, after just searching online for gin tasting sessions. How lucky we were to find lazy lounge. 4 of us ended up going, we had a blast. Tom our 'gin guide' was a font of all knowledge in gin. He is so passionate and it shows through his knowledge of gin and its history. Very interesting and entertaining as well as tasty.The 4 of us really didn't know what to expect, but it was such a fun experience. After tasting 10 different gins, mostly neat, we were a little worse for wear by the end of it.We would definitely recommend to anyone who likes gin. We are booking on the wine tasting next..... Can't wait.Thank you lazy lounge for a great afternoon......brill.

Tom was fabulous, discussing the wine in detail - we enjoyed ourselves immensely and really enjoyed every moment. Knows his stuff, but not pretentious at all, tools questions on any aspect of wine or his bar. Highly recommend and will be going back with friends xxx

Back to Lazy Lounge and the neighbour the Leeds postal Service. Lazy Lounge got an excellent range of single malt whiskies and if you want a beer check out their neighbours Leeds postal office. They got the same owner and you can go between these to places for food and drinks. Very friendly staff. I will be back again.

Mi esposa y yo estábamos en Leeds para un concierto y nos quedamos en Whitehall Road. Encontramos este bar por accidente buscando una bebida tranquila por la tarde. Qué joya escondida. Gran ambiente y ambiente, un personal realmente amable y una gran selección de Gins.

Pagué el té de la tarde para el cumpleaños de mis amigos. Cuando llegamos, nos dijeron que nuestra mesa estaba sobre la ventana. Luego nos trajeron la comida y fue asquerosa, no me pidieron ningún requisito dietético, para encontrar el emparedado que se sirvió con Salomon, no puedo comer. Entonces los postres eran horribles, estaban secos y, en general, eran asquerosos. ¡No puedo decir cuán terrible fue esta experiencia! Nos apresuramos a llegar allí para nuestro tiempo reservado a la 1 pm, pidieron el cupón que ya les había sido enviado por correo electrónico, luego nos dejaron en un sofá y, básicamente, ¡nos ignoraron! Tenían un grupo grande en el piso de arriba haciendo una fiesta para degustar la ginebra, así que todo lo que pudimos escuchar fue el hecho de que sonaban y veían al personal apresurarse a llevar más y más comida y bebidas arriba. ¡Mencioné que necesitaría gluten gratis y después de que la camarera abofeteó dos bandejas y un folleto en nuestra mesa nos devolvieron algo! ¿Mi opción "sin gluten" era simplemente quitar las galletas y teníamos queso con el whisky? ? ¡Definitivamente no se anunciaba que el queso estaba con vino! Nos dejaron adivinar cuáles eran cada uno de los tres whiskys. A continuación, tratamos de preguntarle a la malhumorada en qué orden se suponía que debía estar el whisky, mi compañero le preguntó dos veces y fue ignorado por completo cada vez hasta que se puso de pie y luego esperó nuevamente para pedir cortésmente una tercera vez. A ella no le importó en absoluto y parecía irritada al responder "está de izquierda a derecha", estamos seguros de que estaban confundidos, ¡conocemos nuestros sabores de whisky después de todo! Fuimos a una sesión de degustación de whisky, tal vez solo ordenamos tres whiskies al azar en cualquier bar y tratamos de adivinarnos. A su llegada, nos hicieron sentir como un inconveniente y nos dijeron que entregaran el cupón y se sentaran en un sofá.

The actual food was lovely and it came with a wonderful gin punch. However, the service was appalling! We were instantly shown to our table and food was put in front of us with no words spoken. We received no service asking if everything was ok, which it certainly wasn’t if you were vegetarian. We were never asked, neither when booking over the phone or when we arrived, what our preferences were! The two young women who were working were so miserable and wouldn’t even look up when you went to the bar. When we did manage to order drinks they were awful, they didn’t have any rum so used gin, which is fair enough but it didn’t go well at all. The taste of the cocktails felt very stale and flat. There were lots and lots of fruit flies all around our food and drinks, which concerns me because there is open fruity behind the bar. The fruit flies were extremely annoying and the staff kept flapping them away, nothing else was done. Even the environment felt hostile because they were both so rude. Would not recommend to a friend, which is such a shame because the actual venue is phenomenal, really cute and quirky! Shame that the staff are so awful.

This venue need a really good clean and the ripped chesterfields need replacing. The gift my husband and I were given was for a tasting valued at £25.00 but the little board we were each given, with two small glasses of red and one of white wine, together with two crackers with a bit of cheese on each and a small piece what we think was cake, but we didn't try it, was definitely not value for money.

The owner of Lazy Lounge gives gin tasting sessions which include a massive amount of information from a real expert who is passionate about gin.

Style over substance bar over 200 gins but rather they did fewer really well. Lazy lounge - lazy concept. Blocked loos - yeuch.

What a great evening. Really liked this quirky little bar. Had the mulled sloe gin which was delicious. Didn’t eat here but would like to try next time we visit. Extensive gin menu. Good for early evening drinks

We were there a few weeks ago and we tried 2 testing boards: Wine tasting board was very nice, but Gin one’s was a bit disappointed, they served them with small coffee cups

Visited on Friday lunchtime. The staff were disinterested. As you can see the furniture could do with an upgrade. My wine glass had a chip and I wasn’t given the wine that was in it back. All in all not a good experience.

We visited this place with friends whom we met at the Wetherspoon pub in the train station we arrived and was pleasantly surprised with what we saw ordered drinks and took food menus to browse we decided to try the food we ordered 2 burgers and drink offer our friends ordered the sharing platter at which point the barmaid checked with the kitchen they had everything for it when the food arrived the burger buns were very dry and the chips tasted of the fish that they had obviously been fried along side of the platter was missing 3 items one of which was noted straight away no hummus wasn’t until after we had finished I looked up the menu and found the spring rolls and lamb koftas to say someone had taken time out to check they had everything they clearly did not and the food overall was very bland and basic considering the cost of it won’t bother returning when we meet up again think I’ll suggest Wetherspoons at least you don’t pay arm and a leg for average food in there

We booked the gin tasting experience as a couple, and joined a large group of others on the top floor of lazy lounge for a tasting experience of 10 different gins accompanied by a lengthy background of each gin. We had a least a shot measure of each different gin, taken through how to taste properly and the history behind it. We were also offered a selection of cakes and sandwiches.

Usually go here for a last drink before heading to a hotel. The gin selection is great. However last night we turned up at 9:00 to be told they had finished serving for the night. Lazy by Lazy by nature!

200 plus gins too chose from and lovely surroundings, staff aren't over friendly too busy wanting to be closing early at 1130pm. But tbh the bar was quiet for a Saturday. Its a nice place to be for a chill night

Magnífica adición a la perezosa sala existente. Esta sala encajaba muy bien con el club de whisky de Leeds. Excelente espacio en la tierra con algunas oportunidades de juegos. . Ahora podemos tener discusiones científicas profundas sobre el tema de la producción de una sola malta con la ayuda de uno o dos pequeños. Gran selección de cervezas en proyecto de botellas! Excelente sala para nuestras actividades futuras!

Was bought the Gin tasting as a gift, took my husband,great informative session with plenty of different ginsbto taste. Came with sandwhich cake buffet. Would recommend for couples or small groups. Would defiantly return to try the same or even the whiskybor wine.

Bought Groupon vouchers for our girls group, when I rang originally i was told i didn't have to book just to take the vouchers, rang the day before we went to ask a question and was told they were full and couldn't guarantee a table i explained what I had been told and the gentleman said to go and they would find us a place when they could, I rang again just before we were planning on going and a lovely girl answered the phone I explained again and she said she would reserve is a table, initially we had been going to eat there as well, but she then said the kitchen was closing at 4.30. On arrival we went to the bar and sure enough she had reserved a table, on being seated she then bought us a teapot cocktail to apologise for all the confusion, and very nice it was too. We had a mixture of tasting platters, gin whisky and wine, 3 of each all paired with either cheese or garnishes, I think she was going to tell us about them however interrupting 6 women after several bottles of prosecc o is hard work, she explained what they were and left us to it. Liv you are an asset to the business. The place itself is my kind of place with an incredible array of gins, whisky and wine, a mezzanine above with sofas and easy chairs.

My husband and I cane gin/ whiskey tasting here. It was really lovely. A lovely selection of both whiskey and gin, will definitely return

We visited about 9ish on a Friday eve and it was busy enough but we still managed to get seats and didn’t have to wait at the bar. Staff are great and there is a ice selection of drinks.

Booked in on a voucher which was gt value. Rebecca was so helpful that we decided to have afternoon tea and stay.all afternoon. Thank you for looking after us Rebecca x .

Nice place and in a nice area, when the sun is out its great to sit outside and watch Leeds go by. Opposite the new office block the location is great and the wife can look down from her new office and check up on me. I think this place could definitely become my new local.

The gin tasting was bought for my birthday, and what can I say it was an excellent present. Professionally presented with some funny stories the host was very entertaining and knowledgeable. All the gins had a story and was really nice to get chance to taste so many different ones. Thank you for a perfect birthday treat. We are going back for the wine tasting for my husbands birthday, cant wait.

Decent vibes in this place, with the added fun of the at table board games. Decently priced for the quality of the drinks too.

Met a friend here for a drink and stayed for hours. The cocktails were delicious and such a great choice. Comfy sofas to sit and relax and the staff were friendly and welcoming. What more can I say - a great bar!

Lazy Lounge host us once a month for a whisky group. The bar is well stocked and the food very tasty. I generally call in for a drink each time I am in Leeds. Well worth a visit.

4 of us visited on a Tuesday evening for a gin tasting event. With a private party in the upstairs area we were asked to go through to the Leeds Postal Service bar next door.

I’d booked this for 11 people for my wife’s birthday. I’d been before and enjoyed a drink in the bar with mates but this was first time wine tasting. I’ll be back.

Had my farewell drinks at the Lounge together with nibbles for the group. great selection of cocktails - as you might expect but special mention for the food. Vast quantities for the group and very sensibly priced. Service excellent with helpful staff always smiling. Will be back!

Been here twice, first time i came me and my friend had a Groupon deal which was a platter of Fish & Chips and bottle of Prosecco for two at £24, the fish and chips were lovely! and Prosecco nice too! Ended up staying her for another bottle of wine, the place isn't too big but there is an upstairs too which is where we were.

If you are a gin lover, then this place is a must see for you! They have a huge selection of gins, chilled out atmosphere and friendly staff! I didn't have any food when I visited but I have heard good things!

What a fabulous experience. Gins through the ages. So much information about gin from the owner. A wonderful 70th birthday present for my husband & I from friends.

Visited with friends for a couple of drinks. My friend and I decided to go for the cocktails which were on offer 2 for £10. We ordered the expresso martinis - very nice indeed. Then ordered a couple of fruit flavoured gin cocktails which were also very nice indeed. Very chilled atmosphere with big chesterfield sofas. They also had an outside seating area which would be nice in the summer. Definitely a place to go if you like to try a variety of drinks.

We received a present for the gin tasting session and really didn’t know what to expect. Although it isn’t in the city centre, it’s only five minutes walk from the train station, so no need to have a driver. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our host, Tom, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. We sampled ten gins, selected from about 290 available in the bar! This was accompanied by a selection of sandwiches and cakes. The only downside was the fact that we were hurried out at the end as a wine tasting session was due to commence. Nevertheless, we had a great afternoon. Thank you.

Went for the gin tasting at lunch. Lovely set up, the place is really nice and the space at the top was great. Was a great 2 hours tasting the gins (10!) and eating all the cakes (carrot, choc orange, brownie). The guy was super knowledgable and interesting, however felt like he was a little fed up of his own story. Felt like he just wanted to get it over with. But would def go back.

What a disappointment. I purchased the gin high tea lunch package online for my wife's birthday. When I told her where we were going and what it was, she was very excited! However - it was such a let down. Firstly, the barman who greeted and served us was so rude. He came across as very cocky and better than us. We asked how long the place had been around as we had never heard of it and also aren't from Leeds. He looked at me like I had 3 heads and as though I should have known it was there for almost 10 years. We sat down and he brought the 'gin' over in the tea pot. I'm not sure what the concoction was or what type of gin was used but the entire large pot probably only had 1-2 shots of gin in it. Needless to say we ordered beers. Now the funny part - I won't even post a picture of the 'high tea' as I dont want to embarrass the business. A board came out with about 15 little cut up sandwiches that had presumably been made at 9am (our booking was at 3:30). The bread was stale and the ingredients inside were either non-recognisable or stale themselves. There was a bed of brown lettuce, 10 random blueberries, and a mix of brownie pieces, banana chocolate cake and caramel squares that were most likely purchased at the Tesco down the road. We had a couple bites of the sandwiches and decided to send it back and not eat it. We told the barman who was not interested at all and argued the fact that the sandwiches were stale. We told him we didnt want a new one whatsoever. He then proceeded to go to the kitchen and return with a plate of approximately 35 mini sandwiches ... ?!? We told him that we didnt want them (again) and he huffed off rudely ... We will definitely not be returning here again which is a shame because I thought it could be a really cool place.

Excellent gin list which draws you in to try another! Good job of creating interesting interior from a modern building. Knowledgable bar staff able to provide advice on gins and tonics. Good atmosphere, would recommend a visit. My only comment would be some indication of flavours and mixes for the gins would be a great improvement. A number of specialist gin bars give a bit more info which really helps.

Lovely cosy place to meet with friends for a few drinks. The gin menu is extensive and the bar staff really know their stuff. Great atmosphere and great value for money.

Came over for a friends surprise 40th and started off with the gin tasting. Great little venue, a little away from the main town center but handy and quiet near the canal.

Just had a home made soup and a club sandwich before the Lazy Lounge Gin Appreciator session. Soup was hot and tasty, sandwich was fine. Some of the seats are the "trendy" worn out leather variety. Not to our liking. Perhaps we are too old!!!

Amazing! We had a lovely Christmas party at this venue, the food was delicious, the drinks were affordable and the staff were absolutely amazing. The venue itself is gorgeous, with comfy sofas and a real cosy atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and made catered their services around our requirements and preferences. Definitely worth a visit here.

Happened to be walking past and had heard of this place so was enticed in with the sign stating they had 250 types of gin!

Lovely cosy place just let down a little by the expensive drinks when happy hour over. Mon to Fri evenings before ,8pm place is buzzing but soon empties after as couples look for cheaper alternatives. It's a shame they can't stretch the happy hour over the weekend as I'm sure they would do a lot more business. Me and the missus love the 100s of different gins on offer and as I say it's very affordable before the 8pm deadline.

We had a Groupon voucher for a fish platter and bottle of prosecco, for 3 of us, we arranged our booking time, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were very helpful, the food was fine, and nicely chilled prosecco, what's not to like. The lazy lounge is really nice, relaxing and comfortable, its slightly out of the centre, but it was fine for us, we hag a great time here, excellent value thank you.

We came here because we'd bout a voucher for two meals and a bottle of prosecco and had a really nice time.

This needs to be nearer town, would be missed had we not googled "gin in Leeds" on the train in. I had an appointment this way down, so we called in after.

We attended a private party on 7th October... mostly it was a nice event but when I went to the bar to order 2 vodka and cokes the dark haired waitress drowned them in coke using 3 mini bottles of coke... when I questioned her she just shrugged and looked at me as though she couldn't care less... I work in the customer service industry and this is not a good example of this.

What a disappointing experience!

Booked a gin tasting afternoon as part of my husbands birthday present. He loves gin but I loathe it! Anyway, I decided that I would be the better person and go with him having already told him that he could drink mine. We booked for Saturday 19/9 at 1pm. The session lasted just over 2 hours and the man running it (think he is the bar owner) was funny, informative and knowledgeable. He told us about the history of gin and the 10 (yes, 10!) we tried were linked to the history. I must admit that I struggled with the first 2 gins but after that I was hooked. We tried them neat then added tonic water, tap water or lime juice as instructed. There was a small platter of sandwiches and cakes to eat. There was one more thing which made the session even more enjoyable and that was the young couple we were seated with. They were chatty, funny and easy going. In fact, once the session was over we stayed with them for drinks and were there until 7.30pm :-) They made the afternoon even better. Would I recommend the gin tasting? Yes I would. We are thinking about booking for the wine tasting too.

We visit here regularly. The food is good, the drinks are great and reasonably priced and the staff are always really friendly. Highly recommend

Stopped by for a quick lunch in Leeds last month. Located within a busy office area, I expected the restaurant to be busier than it was.That said, the food on offer was good with there being plenty of choice, particularly amongst sharing platters or boards. I had a ploughmans which was the perfect filling lunch.If you're in the area, you'll be sure to get a good lunch here.

We called in for a drink, on a Saturday afternoon, after visiting a nearby restaurant. We are Gin drinkers and had heard they serve a large selection of Gins - on this point we were not disappointed and it's well worth a visit.It was not busy, and there were four members of staff on duty, so you would expect the tables to be cleared and wiped down very promptly. However, this was not the case. When we arrived I had to clear the empty glasses from the table myself - not good. We stayed for a couple of hours and tried a few of the gins, which were very good, although a bit pricey. As such, I was able to observe the staff at work. One girl was quite clearly there to work, whereas the other two were there to muck about and gossip. There were more interested at playing at being models - walking around balancing trays on their heads, rather than working. One girl was wearing tights full of ladders and holes, which just looked a mess and quite off putting too. The male member of staff (possibly the manager?) had no control over his staff.I have already mentioned the tardiness of clearing the tables, but it doesn't end there. It was obvious the cleaning regime is not good enough, as there are already areas of ingrained dirt along the skirting boards and in the corners - no I wasn't particularly looking for it, it stands out.The most worrying part was the gents toilets - the urinals were blocked and overflowing and there was no soap. Now, I know plumbing problems can arise expectantly, however that's why emergency plumbers exist, so get it sorted. Also, mistakes happen and you can "forget" to order enough soap, so take some money out of the till, pop down to the Co-op about 25 metres away, and buy some! These problems are not difficult to resolve, yet in the two hours we were there, there was no sign of them even attempting to resolve these issues, other than putting a notice up about the blocked urinals.Will I go again? Possibly, but it's not high on my list!

Me and the hubby out on a date night stumbled across this bar, I normally don't head to this end of town but will definitely be making it my first stop next time. The gin menu is amazing, lots of different mixers/tonics to go with, they do a happy hour too which is always a bonus. We ordered a cheese board to nibble on, good size portions of cheese only downside was Jacobs cream crackers! (Felt like it Xmas day in the 90's). Atmosphere was great! They do wine and gin tasting events too. Great night had!

This is a great bar, friendly staff and the food I had was really nice, had a burger and it was freshly made. Good on price, pleasant funky surroundings, will definitely be back, was great.

We had a gin afternoon tea. There were plenty of sandwiches even though they were tiny (or should say dainty). We had loads of brownies and Victoria sponges (also dainty sizes) and a few pieces of carrot cake (as they had run out of carrot cake). The gin cocktail came in tea pots and we drank it from china cups and saucers.We sat on comfortable chairs and settees and had a lovely afternoon. It was a bit noisier than I had expected and upstairs there was a demonstration about gin which we could hear.The decor was lovely and very unusual.Cost - £28 for 2 people. Very reasonable for our 2 hours get together. I recommend it.

Who knew there was so much history to gin! The group was a mixture of couples an friends around 16 of us in total (i may have counted after though!) however, all were friendly if not alittle quiet. The afternoon started with the origins of gin and a taste to set the scene - wow they made it strong! The 2 gin was about 57%proof... not for the faint hearted but much better with a tonic, which we had in abundance on our tables, along with sofa, water, sandwiches and cakes.We spent the next 2 hours working our way through another 8 gins through time and the stories that went with them. The group progressively got louder and by the end a very happy band we all were! Highly recommended for a afternoon with a difference, lasts about 2.5 hours but they are in no rush for you to leave and you can always make your way to the downstairs bar to work your way through the copious amounts of other gins too!
