A very trendy place which attracts lots of people. But you can get a seat if you turn up early. Although it was a delay with our food, staff were very helpful and friendly x Food is delicious and you have plenty of options to choose from 👍🏻

Lovely place for brunch / lunch. Friendly staff. Lots of seating. Reasonably priced; eggs Royale and a cup of tea was £15. Some good veggie options, veggie breakfast, avocado toast, veggie burrito.

A popular spot for brunch with alright food. However the poor quality of service which occurs every single visit is what makes me choose elsewhere. The server's don't even try to give good customer service.

My first time here today and the food was amazing…thanks to the chef! however, had to wait very long for it … even 15 minutes for tap water . lol. not sure if the waitress with red hair was in a bad mood or that’s just her character but felt quite uncomfortable with that negative attitude. slamming the food on the table and ignoring us when we needed assistance. Yikes.

Biscoff and berry pancakes were lovely but the breakfast sandwiches were unfortunately not. Bacon was dry and sausage sandwich was chewy and honestly not worth £6. We came on Valentine’s day and this may be why the wait was 2 HOURS. We were given a 20% discount because of this, but it is still unacceptable to be this unprepared. Also the floors were dirty and there was no toilet paper. Staff was very friendly however one took 3 🍃 smoke breaks while we were waiting.

When the food arrived it was lovely but the service was terribly slow and staff disinterested. The rolling of eyes by staff was noticed when I had to chase the food having waited 40mins and finished the drinks. It wasn't busy either and they turned a table of 3 away as they couldn't be bothered to move some chairs

Tried to go in staff were miserable despite empty tables made us wait outside for ages and did not acknowledge us saw people Inside complaining that they had been waiting so we left.

I’m not usually a karen but the service was the most chaotic i have ever experienced. Loads of things forgotten, had to ask for missing things at least 3 times, then eventually got told the kitchen was shut when my friend was waiting on chips, they didn’t seem apologetic. When we tried to talk to them about it they seemed victimised as they blamed the fact they “weren’t meant to open today”. We got refunded the food but i feel like they shouldn’t have told us the problems with the management and should’ve just apologised. Food and atmosphere was lovely though except for the miscommunication between the staff.

Very busy spot for a reason. Ordered the chorizo and bean burrito and the bacon and maple syrup pancakes. Burrito was absolutely delicious, one of the best breakfast items I’ve ever had. Pancakes were very good too

A small cafe with a nice interior and lively atmosphere. It was let down by very slow service for 2 drinks. Not sure if they do table service but I eventually ordered and paid at the counter. Staff seemed indifferent. After a long wait, one drink arrived but it took another 10 minutes for the other one, which was very disappointing. Having some pastries/cakes on the menu would be a great addition alongside the hot drinks.

Inappropriate operating model for the demand. No booking available for certain groups sizes / times. Your only option is to “just turn up” and hope they have space. Told each occasion to wait some arbitrary amount of time outside in the rain (of which may or may not come to pass there is actually space after said time has elapsed). No canopy outside to shelter from the weather (as per all the other businesses on the street, I might add), and no waiting area inside. No system to log your name in queue order so it’s not even possible to wait in another venue until a table is free - you could come back 30 mins later and another 10 people have turned up to wait since so you are back to square one. This has now happened 3 times which is past the point where I would ever bother again in future. In other words; given the venue’s local popularity it’s highly likely you’ll go and not actually be able to go, and you’ll have completely wasted your journey and time. I would suggest the people responsible for the existing incompetent management are fired and replaced with those able to design and implement an appropriate operating model for a busy establishment with a reputation for quality food / coffee. If you’re getting 1 star reviews from people who are only trying to be a customer, then your business model is garbage.

Such a shame to write this review. Me and the boyf couldn’t wait to visit in Leeds last May, and it was fair to say the coffee was legit the best coffee. Further on down the year, I bought a subscription for my partner as a present. The order was 16 days late, the order was nothing like the photos on the website, the drinks had no end by date so within a week was gone off. Customer service has been non existent. I’ve emailed twice, I’ve contacted them via text and instagram and NO REPLY. Such a shame like I said but i don’t think they care about their customers. I’ve requested to cancel my monthly subscription because that’s usually late and I don’t suppose a company like this in general.

Not sure what was going on today but the whole thing was giving incompetence. Took a while to be acknowledged before being seated, there was 'a rush' on coffees (shocker for a Saturday morning), egg was underdone, no napkins and no idea how they made 'homemade beans' look exactly like Heinz.

My friend and I came on a Tuesday morning, it wasn’t too busy, the service was amazing and the drinks and food arrived very quickly. My latte was lovely and I ordered the vegetarian breakfast which was amazing. The veggie sausage was a particular highlight! The staff were super friendly (shocking my southerner friend with their niceness). Will absolutely go again!

It’s better to get here on weekdays, there will be a queue at the weekend. But that means they’re good. Their toast is nice and goes well with the coffee. Love how they make their food vivid and vibrant. The staff is helpful, even when it’s busy, they get everything sorted briefly.

Usually visit Call Lane but this morning visited East Parade. Ordered food and hot drinks ,drinks arrived just warm. We waited and waited for our food,30mins to be exact. All this time 2 staff were stood talking .After 30 mins I went to ask how much longer our food would be,the girl opened the hatch and our food was there. I asked how long it had been stood there and they admitted they weren't sure but when I said I wasn't happy that it would still be hot she said if it wasn't they could redo our order! No apology given even when we asked for a refund and we would eat elsewhere. The food looked delicious so we were gutted but after supporting If since it's first opening years ago I'm afraid we won't be eating in this branch again . A shambles of a visit with indifferent staff who looked as though they really didnt care

This quirky place has a lovely atmosphere with great decor. It has a trendy vibe. It’s located in the city centre near to the Victoria Centre. The staff are very polite and friendly and professional. Customer service is exceptional. We ordered a vegetarian option of the English breakfast. I would recommend this place.

Nice cafe with great music friendly staff

Was recommended this place via tiktok and was really excited to go after seeing the menu which looks very interesting. When we entered, there was a cold vibe and we were ignored by everyone, had to ask what the deal was with being sat. After finally being sat, we ordered poached eggs on sourdough with salmon and hollandaise, alongside a full yorkshire pretty quickly. The full yorkshire arrived with no sausages, contrary to the menu description - which was never communicated. Poached eggs came, both with very undercooked egg whites. Sent the eggs back and received just the eggs, without any of the accompaniments that were on the plate originally. This was righted eventually, however, throughout the whole exchange staff we’re very uninterested and unapologetic, clearly feeling inconvenienced by customers. The eggs were taken off our bill, which we appreciate but would not return as atmosphere was generally off, cold and judgemental, in addition to the food being average at best.

This place is soo good infact the ambience says it all. Love everything about it. The place where they serve the best coffee trust me you need to visit this place atleast once because it has good food,the staff is sweet and they serve with so much dignity that you really feel like sitting here for hours.was standing across the street and loved the place just by looking from outside

Bottomless brunch at East Parade Lovely decor, friendly attentive bar staff but poor ‘cocktails’ and we waited an hour for food. I got a Bloody Mary that was tomato juice & vodka - no spice, no pepper, no celery! I requested some tabasco but they didn’t have any. Someone went out to get some and returned with sriracha chilli sauce 🤣. The vodka ‘cocktail’ was equally as poor. The martini espresso was much better. If you like lots of Prosecco it’s probably a good deal - they kept my friend topped up - but if you don’t I’d go elsewhere.

TOO ARROGANT TO SERVE US!!!! LOVE STANDING IN THE RAIN FOR 10 MINUTES BECAUSE THERE WAS A BIG SIGN IN FRONT OF THE DOOR SAYING ‘WAIT HERE TO BE SERVED’ WHILST BEING LOOKED AT OUT OF THE WINDOW BY MEMBERS OF STAFF WHILST WAITING TO BE SEATED AND NOT A SINGLE ONE CAME TO TELL US TO COME INSIDE OR HOW LONG IT WOULD BE!! ON TOP OF THAT ANOTHER MEMBER OF STAFF WALKED IN PAST US AND DIDNT THINK TO TELL HER COLLEAGUES TWO PEOPLE WERE WAITING TO BE SEATED. VERY ARROGANT.

Cozy little dog friendly cafe with great coffee and food.

We were stood outside for 15 minutes at the front of a queue. It would have been nice if someone had given an ETA for a table or at least acknowledged we were there as we were pretty much ignored until there was a table available. Once we were in though the food was lovely and service was good.

Friendly staff and quite fast service. Sadly there was a lack of flavour in the burrito and the smashed avocado dish although packed with flavour was not a decent portion size at all. It was gone in about 6 bites. Don't believe me check the photo of the smallest piece of sourdough on the planet....

Myself and some friends came here for bottomless brunch one Saturday. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, drinks were topped up at speed and all staff were so friendly and helpful. I had an unfortunate allergic reaction to some of the alcohol and the team were so willing to assist in any way they could. A great little find and perfect for a gossipy, laid back brunch, rather than being bombarded with loud music, stingy drinks and pushed out the door after 90 minutes on the dot.

Looking for a quick bite to eat before catching a mid-day train, spotted this cafe as had a few people sitting at outside tables. Quickly seated, and order taken. Eggs Benedict were lovely, coffee was really good, and bill was reasonable. Our waitress was lovely - really friendly. Recommend a visit - Carlos Corberan seemed to be enjoying his.

Exceptional food and nice service, a family of 5 we were seated at a 4 that girl was bringing another chair but was no need, plenty of room. Very popular place we had seen the queue on Saturday so knew to get there early but we'll worth queuing for.. Rueben is amazing

Really tiny coffee shop but had one of the best coffee I’ve had in Leeds! Had a vanilla oat latte and it was amazing! Would highly recommend

Oh man , what can I say about this place ? Firstly , the decor is great and there is a tonne of seating which will be great for people working in the offices near by on their breaks or for residents in the area (although it’s worth a short walk to that side of town to visit). My boyfriend decided on a whim to stop by to pick us up some coffee and lunch and bought me a Reuben sandwich (on white bread , toasted , my favourite) and he had the same . *Please* believe me when I tell you it’s the best sandwich I ever had !! The quality of each ingredient is evident from the first bite . I’ve never had cream cheese in a Reuben , the fact it’s the most delicious cream cheese ever was an amazing surprise . The bread is stunning and it’s clear the sandwich was constructed in a way to conserve the texture and integrity for as long as possible . He bought be that sandwich two days ago and I’d been dreaming of it since. I popped in myself today to satisfy my craving and that’s when I got to check out the lovely plants and decor and meet the wonderful and helpful staff . Besides that , the drinks and other items on offer are great and the coffee is delicious! I can only apologize for the essay , but I feel this strongly ! I feel very lucky my BF lives just round the corner , we’ve already decided this is a new regular haunt !

The food looks and tastes good. It can however take some time so bring your patience. There are some bars nearby so it can be a very lively outside area but it's rather quiet when school is out. Latte art on every drink that I saw.

Had very high hopes but was let down unfortunately. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed as you'd expect it to be. The service was Ok, very slow to be seated despite plenty tables seeming available. Appeared only one person was cleaning , setting and arranging the tables whilst the other two were just serving the food. When seated the service was fast and friendly though. The menu was tired and not clean physically. Mainly let down by the food, extortionate price £12.80 for "full Yorkshire" which is essentially a full English with items removed. Hash brown resembles a McDonald's hash brown which was concerning for the amount of oil used. The bacon was actually two rashers and not one as first thought, but they were fried together as one?? No baked beans but a mix bean medley. No black pudding and just one slice of fried sourdough. Sausage and mushrooms were nice. Tomato was sitting around the kitchen for a while I fear. The pancakes were burnt on both sides and smothered in the Nutella to cover it up. I want to give this place another go but maybe at a different location and certainly different food choice.

Food was average. I ordered the pancakes, maple syrup and bacon, expecting the bacon to be streaky but, it wasn't. Just normal fatty bacon. Service was okay - the staff member was friendly but I kinda feel like there should have been two members of staff on as it was a Saturday and bottomless brunch, so people wanted drinks constantly. I'm glad I visited but not sure I'd be in a rush to go back.

I cannot fault this place at all. Our waitress was lovely and efficient. I asked about allergens, and she checked what I could have and even brought out plant butter to show me there was no soy or dairy because she didn't want me to eat the sourdough dry. She was exceptionally helpful and genuinely nice. The food was so good. I had bacon and sausage with sourdough and tea. My partner had a burrito and he said he'd happily have eaten it again it was so good. The decor and seating were lovely. I will return when I'm back in Leeds. My only issue was that I couldn't tip more because the system only allowed a certain amount but the waitress and staff deserve praise. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely and friendly service. The coffee is delicious - it's their own roast as well. I ordered the biscoff pancakes which came with a scoop of ice cream and a gorgeous berry compote. Would definitely come again!

Great place for some brunch, I'd recommend coming as early as possible as it usually gets busy. Can take a while for staff to put together the food for takeaway, but the wait is always worth it. This is a place to visit of you're in Leeds for a few days as you don't want to miss out. The team just need to add French toast to the menu 😋

Diabolical doesn’t even begin to describe the service my family and I received from the barista (blonde, ratty ponytailed man with a horrific attitude). He could do with remembering he choose a career in hospitality, and act accordingly. Actively complaining about paying, polite customers to your team in front of said paying, polite customers is a disgusting and disrespectful approach to service. I would advise this man to leave this role and find a new job in which disdain for customers is rewarded.

It was good for a once off, I don’t necessarily think I’ll go back but it wasn’t bad either the only thing that was really lacking is the service. We waited a while before someone came to take the order and my friend ordered a matcha latte and I a chai latte. Her food arrived before the drinks. Food wise I think it’s a bit expensive for what you receive. The atmosphere was good overall.

Called in to the cafe at York Place, Leeds for breakfast. The menu hadn't been updated online so was disappointly smaller than expected. However, we spoke to one of the barista's who explained they no longer had a kitchen, which is why the menu was reduced, but they could do fried eggs. I went for the veggie sausage and egg sandwich on brown bread. It was all delicious and the bread was really good. She explained they use freshly baked bread sourced locally. They are looking to extend the menu slightly which would be good. Would definitely go again and the coffee was excellent. Great spot for an early breakfast and catch-up with friends.

Delicious pulled beef brisket with poached eggs on a toast, runny egg just how I love it! They don't take reservations and have to queue, took some time before we got a table but the staff are nice and professional. It was worth the wait. I would go back and try other items in their menu.

The food and coffee I had was really nice BUT nowhere near what is advertised on their Instagram. I ordered the ‘famous’ banana bread because there are multiple pictures on their Instagram of two slices of banana bread and lots of toppings so I thought it would be filling. However, I received one slice of banana bread and it was nothing like what was advertised. The food was good but their Instagram is very misleading

Enjoyable quick breakfast at IF by myself. Staff were friendly, the place was nicely decorated and warm enough to sit outside! Scrambled eggs were the highlight they were fab. Would definitely come back.

Was really excited to try the food here while visiting Leeds. We arrived at 4pm as the door said it would close at 5pm, however, when we arrived the chairs had all been placed on the tables and the staff were already cleaning and closing for the day. Still can't understand why they would close over an hour early without any explanation. Very disappointed

Used to be a regular here before Covid, what has happened? Service is very poor now, very slow in taking orders, and a very lacklustre experience. Such a shame!

Good food and amazing drinks, the coffees and the smoothies(~£4) are really some of the best! Really nice vegan and vegetarian breakfast(~£13 each), just a tad bit too salty. Overall really nice restaurant with a lovely outdoor seating area, and nice decor.

One of the best places to eat in Leeds. First, the environment of this restaurant is really nice. The staff is very friendly and the space is well decorated. Second, the food is really good, in terms of taste and good proportions. Finally, a recommendation, it is always people waiting to entre to the restaurant, but it will be worth it.

Place was busy so sat outside. Had burritos which were lovely! Would definitely recommend those, not my usual go to but was pleased with my choice. Little chilly sat outside but still a nice place with wooden tables and still able to maintain a little atmosphere from the cafe inside. Had an enjoyable time!

Walked up to this nice looking breakfast spot on a weekend in Leeds. Four tables outside with no people on but the guy rudely said there was a wait and he wouldn't serve us. When we asked if we could sit down he shrugged and said "yes but I won't serve you". Obviously we didn't stay so can't comment on the food or drinks.

really poor customer service. the staff didn’t even give us cutlery (we had to get up and get it ourselves, but other people were given it) and we just didn’t have a nice experience. would not recommend this place.

The food was delicious! We got variations on Eggs Benedict that were lush. Extremely well cooked and the drinks were lovely too. Love the 2 for £10 brunch cocktails as well as the great value bottomless brunch. We didn't do this because the food choices with it are limited and it was more expensive than what is advertised on their website & in the bathrooms. They've increased their prices but haven't updated it everywhere so that needs sorting. From a service perspective, it was super slow but polite and friendly. The food was fast but the servers took ages to actually take our order. They don't take bookings, except for bottomless brunch which has to be booked in advance. Bit all over the place. We visited on a sunny Tuesday - I suspect they didn't expect to be so busy but they were full the whole time we were there hence the slow service probably. Didn't delay the food though. Also there were 2 servers working so upstairs seating was closed. So the atmosphere while nice was very cramped and hectic. Another shame because I actively saw the staff turn people away and offered to move to a smaller table so those people could be accommodated. We were almost turned away ourselves for the same reason. There was a lone man working from a 2 seater table who could easily have been brought his check to get him to leave. Also if you take ages to take someone's order, then they're going to spend ages at their table. Bit of a vicious cycle. Hopefully it was just a one off but they could do with more, or quicker staff. Also the bathroom was pretty grotty, with evidence that it hadn't been cleaned since the previous night (no ticks on the schedule for that day - 2 checks missed). Would return for the good value and quality food and drink but only IF I've got 2.5hrs to kill because I reckon that's how long it took us when we visited and IF I go back on a weekend it'll be just as long! ;)

been to both locations in the town centre and both times had poor service, no smile or even a hello. Went to the one on call lane for brunch and again no hello or even a smile when we came in just someone seemingly unhappy to be there behind the counter. When the cutlery was brought over it was just chucked on the table to us, the same with the food and when collecting plates. We just felt quite awkward to be there as the staff were rather unfriendly. Unfortunately won’t be returning which is a shame as the coffee is lovely and the place has potential, you can get much friendlier service at other local coffee shops in the area.

A great cup of coffee on a rainy day. Meant to ask what brand of beans, it was so good. Nice friendly service too. Will definitely be back soon.

The coffee and food here is very nice. I enjoyed the granola. The yoghurt wasn't too thick which made it easy to eat. I had a pastry too that tasted fresh. The only reason for dropping a star was the slow service. Coffee took nearly 10 mins to arrive. The lady sat next to us gave up waiting and asked for her coffee to go so it wasn't just our table impacted. Food took another 15 on top of this. Staff were friendly

Such a busy place, we opted to sit outside as the weather was lovely. They were so busy but were able to accommodate us, we had the Yorkshire breakfast and the Vegetarian breakfast, it was so filling and so delicious! Definitely recommend. Good idea to book in advance if you can!

Came here for breakfast. We had a mocha, tea, a breakfast sandwich and an almond croissant all of which were delicious! Can't wait to go back to try out more!

Myself and my friend went for a bottomless brunch on Saturday afternoon and had the best waitress, she was kind, funny and gave us the best service. She even left before we gave her her tip! (We left it with the other waiters after sorry about that). Great service, good food, good tunes and what a great name of the bar 😄

Really decent breakfast. Really enjoyed the coffee and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Hash browns were a bit disappointing like they had just come out of the freezer at home and wish they served fresh orange juice rather than the concentrate stuff.

Very long wait for a table... We came for the pancakes we saw on the website as we were visiting for the weekend. Waited around 30 minutes for the food. Both ordered pancakes which were tasty I must admit but certainly not worth the long wait unfortunately. Missed off our hashbrowns too 🥲 Worth a visit if you have the time. Staff were attentive.

Biscoff pancake is on point! Not too sweet or too rich. It hits the BLISS POINT perfectly. Sour from fresh fruits & compote and sweet from vanilla ice cream & biscoff spread. Together with crumble, PERFECT. Egg benedict is also goood! But I didn’t pay much attention to it cos I was overwhelmed by the biscoff pancake 🤣 Highly recommend biscoff pancake 🥞 u won’t regret! 💛 BEST SERVICE 💛 I wanna give 10 stars hahaha

This is such a lovely cafe, we love it. The staff are friendly, attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious and the coffee was excellent, clearly due the expertise of the coffee maker. Thank you.

Decent food, great vibes/atmosphere; cute cafe. HOWEVER, rude staff, very bad customer experience unfortunately.

Called today for a coffee and brunch. Polite greeting from the young female at the till area. From there it went down hill. I asked if I could I possibly have an extra hot latte. Yes sure was the reply. At best it was Luke warm. On the waitress’s return to the table I told her the coffee was only warm (following very little response) I asked for some hot milk to try to improve the drink. She brought a tiny jug of again Luke warm milk? I knew at that point that it was an hopeless task to get any joy from trying to sort things and our “ date day” moment had gone! When paying at the till I said to the same girl 2 out of 10 for the coffee in fact it was shocking. The response from the waitress and the girl making the coffee was giggles? I honestly got the impression that they didn’t know how to respond in a professional manner! Bemusing? BLT was just a simple overpriced BLT. Very disappointing - won’t be returning!
