Superb meal and small plates. Wonderful meat, cheese and bread in a fantastic setting. It’s also near the station so you can get the train if want to drink.

Great place to take in a bottle of Wine and a Platter, lovely regional produce plus a nice atmosphere and lovely staff. Easy to find and close to the railway station Well done to all the staff for making us so welcome

Had brunch in this restaurant for the first time. Good food, contemporary ambience and friendly staff. Shall be returning.

What a genius concept! Customisable charcuterie boards! This place is a real love letter to Spanish/Italian bars, something that the uk is severely missing.

Flies land on you and your food non stop, staff not interested. Worst cheese board ever. Go to cheesy living or latitude wine!

Hi I called in to meet a college at 6 45 and ordered a glass of wine and asked if it was ok to stand at the bar as all the tables were full. The waitress said no problem . After 5 mins a long dark haired waitress asked me to move down the bar which I did. She then asked again for a second time to move further down which I did ! She then said for the third time to move and I replied where do you want me to stand and she said not at the bar !! She was so rude and arrogant when I said why are you serving drinks at the bar if you can not drink them ! Her attitude was completely unacceptable and completely contrary to the staff at your Ilkley site where we attend regularly . I will not be visiting your Leeds site ever again . Harvey Brayshaw

Hidden gem. Lovely wine and atmosphere if you want to chill and have a glass of wine in a nice atmosphere this is the place to be.

Lovely bar with good wine options and some tasty food — I wanted a light dinner so just got the pork belly and butter beans but they had a great variety of meats, cheeses and small plates. Friendly and efficient service.

I've been meaning to come to FoH for years now & had a chance to with my youngest daughter; she wasn't a fan but I liked the atmosphere. The food was a little pricey but it was nice.

Un gran concepto: charcutería (del cerdo de ahí Amigos del Jamón) y cervezas indie. El día que visitamos había 15 barriles a la venta, un par de barriles y varias botellas. ¿Probar antes de comprar? ¡No hay problema! Y luego... la comida. ¿Por dónde empezar? Teníamos los bocadillos de queso a la parrilla, lo que no les hace justicia. ¡Fueron brillantes! Las tablas de charcutería que vimos salir se veían igualmente bien. Así que en general, un lugar de primera. Vale la pena visitarlo.

Outstanding as usual, a great bar with fantastic selections of meats, cheeses and beer. What more do you actually need? Get yourself there for a cracking afternoon.

Visited sat afternoon . It was busy we managed to be seated . This place is just great for sharers boards snacks and great beers . Service was really good and friendly and the food was just right more places should just do these simple sharers when your out for a boozy afternoon there just perfect . Lovely friendly atmosphere and all staff were very welcoming. Really lovely downstairs also . Very impressed we will come back very convenient for the station . Thank you

Such an amazing concept of high quality and pick it yourself beer, sliced meats and cheeses. Having gone almost a dozen times over three years, its my go to whenever friends or family come up north to visit. The beer selection is immense and the high quality meats, cheeses and fresh vegetables are great. (The Padron Peppers are a favourite of mine!). Great stop whether it be for a drink and nibbles or a full fledged feast and a beer fest.

Need to stop walking past here. Always thought of it as a meeting place or for a quick drink near the station but is a place worthy of itself.

We came in before our train for drinks and a snack; the drink options were good and the food was beyond our expectations. Massive appreciation for Casey, Maggie & Leah!

We popped in for a drink and dessert and managed to get a table despite it being busy. The desserts were great and I really enjoyed the Carajillo cocktail.

Just a quick review. I spent a few days in Leeds as a solo female traveller. I used Ham & Friends as a base to meet friends and a date. I love the atmosphere the food and the care the staff provided. Kaycee is a gem, I didn’t catch the names of the two other bar staff, I wish I had because they all made my visit so welcomming and safe. It will forever be my first stop for lunch and wine on my next visit. Recommend to everyone. I may have to book you for a quietly raucous 50th?!! Perfect people watching window. Thank you.

Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. Staff are friendly and accommodating. A very popular spot so it is worth booking a table in advance to avoid disappointment. A repeat customer and never disappointed. Will be returning for years to come.

A fantastic theme and fun atmosphere made Friends of Ham my favorite lunch of all during my stay in Leeds. This was an accidental walk-up find. Wanted to go back a second time, but unfortunately, I did not have the time. I absolutely would come back if I ever find myself in Leeds again.

Didn't get much service, it was busy. A new find for us but we will definitely be back.

Visiting Leeds for the weekend and saw this spot on the way in from the train station. Fortunately we had the time to visit on our way back on Monday and so glad we did! Charcuterie, cheeses, loads of beer and specials for Octoberfest - so much to choose from that I'm considering making the journey back up to Leeds just to come here! Definitely recommend the pick your own charcuterie board and ribs but the star of the show for me was the hot honey nduja toastie, so much so we ordered a second before we left. Definitely come here, you won't regret it!!

Good atmosphere, good service but not at all impressed with my food .Had a hot cheese sandwich with a side of meat but when it came I was very underwhelmed. Very little filling the menu description was much better than the actual food .

First visit. Wished I’d been there years before. Welcoming, friendly and helpful service over both beer and food choices. Everything delicious, with good sized portions for 2 people to share.

Very poor and unfriendly service from the staff. No assistance with the food choices on ordering and generally bad manners throughout. Food was out of a packet and ok but attitude of the staff mean that as a long standing customer I wont be returning.

Love this place, consistently great food and great beer. For many years I've taken a later or earlier train so I can combine a visit with my travel plans. Even when there was a minor delay on my food, they made it entirely right by giving me an additional dish of very tasty food on the house (delays of this nature are very welcome really!). Can't recommend highly enough.

Great little bar, close to the station. You must drink the 'Carajillo', it's a special drink for those whom like an espresso martini

Very close to the station and hosting some really good food and drink, this little place is always a stop for me. The food is, as you'd expect given the name, based on porcine ingredients and is varied, interesting and beautifully made; it's not cheap, but if you want cheap food go elsewhere, this is priced for quality and taste. Likewise the beer range is extensive, mainly (but not only) local craft beers, and there's always something interesting on tap. Again, it's priced realistically, there's plenty of places for cheap beer but here it's the range and quality you pay for. Staff are great, and it's just an all-round excellent little place which I've a big soft spot for, it's well good!

Love a charcuterie board with cheese and pickles and here provides every thing you need. Aswell as have a great selection of craft beers. We shared quite a few mixed plates and all fantastic. Would definitely recommend and will be going again. All staff were very friendly and helpful

Visited with friends today. Overpriced for portion size - sharing platter ordered. Bottle of Prosecco marked up considerably!! Tried to order affogato for dessert - informed that ice cream unavailable for 2 days, then chose the baked cheesecake but only 2 portions available for the 3 required. Hence all 3 desserts advertised would be unavailable after us. Can’t believe that ice cream hadn’t been stocked up on a Friday before the weekend.

Very bad service, female waitress with brown hair was very rude. Took ages to get any service, charging restaurant prices and had to order food at the bar because no one would take orders

A fantastic place to eat and drink. We ordered too much but finished everything, it was too good to leave. The selection of beers and wines was worth a visit in itself. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.. Well worth a visit.

Had a fabulous time with friends loved the orange wine carafe Ary and casey I think the guys who worked were a total delight and some great food recommendations a cheese board is a must have for one hungry person or to share...which I did not. Love this place 100% recommended 👌

For the atmosphere and beer selection this is a great venue. However, the charcuterie boards are no more than very expensive bar snacks. I have eaten here twice now and have left hungry.

Have had many nights in friends of ham in the past - one of my favourite places to go in Leeds. Kicked out tonight with our group of 6 after sitting for 20 minutes deciding on menu options. Staff singled out member or party for ‘swaying’ and refused alcohol service, very rude considering the singled out person was celebrating their birthday. Would not go back. Staff member was very pretentious, female, brown hair, short and lost a large spend (logic of legal obligation was ridiculous)

Grew up in France and never had a Croque Monsieur like the one here - stunning! Fast service, good atmosphere, conveniently located.

Don’t be deterred by the ongoing block paving outside - I’m sure it’ll be worth it when it’s finally finished. Only have the one cask on tonight but there’s always some interesting Craft choices - the Verdant Sundialer is a spot on Pale Ale - it comes in schooners as well 👍🏻

Often stop in here for a drink before getting the train. It's a lovely atmosphere and they do a range of good beers and wines. I've had the deli boards here and they are extremely good too. One of my favourite bars in Leeds so would definitely recommend.

Tucked in amongst the hustle & bustle, the mish-mash of tables/furniture made for an ideal & endearing place to hang out. Unfortunately I didn't eat there, though I won't hesitate to next time I visit.

We called into today Friday 16th Feb 24 for the first time. Find a table and order at the bar, so more casual dining than seated and served. Had a few small plates and a drink, which came to around £66 with tip, not the cheapest place to eat in Leeds but I thought it was value for money. Left full and satisfied plus fully enjoyed the experience. Overall I would return and would recommend 4 stars ✨✨✨✨

For a quick lunch or an extensive brunch with all your friends, this is the place. Fancy later hours, check the downstairs area. This place leaves nothing behind and does all on a level that has you wanting nothing more.

Nice place for a glass of wine. Ate here several years ago. Was great I remember.

We entered a relatively full bar and a sign said wait to be seated so we waited by the sign. A couple came in behind us and the server with the long frizzy black hair came over and started serving the couple behind us. I said to the server that we were next and her response was " well how was I supposed to know that, they spoke to me first". Wow. So now it's my fault we weren't served first. Having said that, once seated the bar staff were excellent.

One of our favourite places. It's been around for years and every time we go the food is great, the service is great and the atmosphere is great. We often just go for drinks and there's always a spot for us.

Pass this place all the time on the way to the train station and decided to pop in on this occasion. It’s a nice little bar, with a pleasant (ish) atmosphere, however the staff that were working all looked miserable and like they didn’t want to be there - granted it was between Christmas and new year so no one wants to work, however it couldn’t have been more obvious they didn’t want to be there! Let alone serve drinks to customers. It was a bit of a mood vacuum to be honest so we only stayed for one drink. The drinks are pricy, but you’re in Leeds near the station so to be expected really, but the beer we had was verging on being warm and wasn’t too pleasant - another reason we only stayed for one drink. Bit of a shame, it based on this experience we won’t be back

Had a fabulous time as always with friends in Friends of Ham on 23rd December 2023. Serves Veltin’s pilsner larger which is such a great pint, Spanish board was superb. Staff were tremendous as they always are and the atmosphere was fun, friendly and vibrant. Never change!!! We are biased I guess, as me and the wife go regularly on a Saturday afternoon, it’s our non-local local you could say…

I really love the general atmosphere of FoH. Chill. Good lighting. With access to really great beers, nice wines, and decent snacks.

I’ve popped in a couple of times on my own but brought my wife last week. I think service there is always friendly and food was excellent as usual. I like the ambience too - lively vibe - albeit there was a very large group of men by the bar who had clearly been there a while which took the edge off a bit until they moved on…..great selection of beers and I also like the various charcuterie combinations too.

Unbelievable price for 2 bottles of beer! £25!!!! We asked for 2 of the small raspberry beers, often had in other places, yes, usually a bit more, but £12.50 each and both caps were removed by bar staff and money asked for before telling us the price so obliged to have. Won't be drinking there again. We only popped in for a quick beer, what a fleecing.

Friends of Ham seems more popular than ever, and I'd certainly recommend booking in advance. I visited on a Saturday afternoon in December, and it was very busy. A platter of mixed hams and cheeses accompanied by a couple of Kirkstall Brewery beers was very welcome, and the atmosphere and service were great as ever.

Not a bad place and great selection of beer. That's whwn you can hear yourself think due to the loud background noise. Better wear ear cancelling headphones.

Sadly I didn’t enjoy my visit on Saturday due to there not being any table service, not enough bread or crackers with the meat and cheese platter, and when I booked the table there was an option to comment on whether I had any special requests. I noted that it was a birthday but the bar/ restaurant didn’t make any reference to this. I’ve always loved the food, wine, and atmosphere at friends of ham but I feel that the unique experience has been lost. I use to enjoy the staff explaining the wine and giving their recommendations, also I missed them coming to the table and feeling like you were valued as a customer.

Delicious meats and Padrons served in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff & great drinks choices! We booked for lunch and even though we turned up early they accommodated us without fuss!

I went here only because my family member wished to have a veggie/vegan meal. Buy stuck for choice I had the beef carpaccio. We shared a sweet potato side. I’ve had beef carpaccio many times in Italy and other places - the one served up was inedible - sad, unable to slice - the small bit I did taste was like leather. As I didn’t wish to embarrass my family member by making a fuss - I decided to wait until someone bothered to check everything was ok with our food - and then I would have said something. Nobody came so left it. A the end of the meal when a waitress came to clear the table she looked at what I’d left. Took it to the bar to show a colleague - both pulled a face at it - the second colleague shrugged her shoulders and then scraped it into the bin by the bar! The cloudy lemonade was nice as was the cold tap water. The toilets downstairs were disgusting.

Popped in - it seems to be a kind of 1960s retro bar with craft ales. Most of which looked fairly niche. Staff were friendly. Would have been nice to see more punters to give the place a better vibe. Perhaps we didnt see it at its best - couldnt see any ham or wine on offer although we did turn up about 10.30. One for another day

There is nothing wrong with the nduja pasta. Except I can't believe the price at £11. Come on, that is ridiculous for that amount of food.

I love Friends of Ham, excellent food and drinks, but my one complaint is they need to provide better knives for cutting cheese! When you're getting cheese to share you want to be able to cut slices for each person eating, but when you're trying to cut it with a dinner knife it just ends up as a crumbly mess!

We visited on a weekday lunchtime but it was still busy. We were served promptly and the staff were friendly. As always, there is a great choice of wine, when the food was excellent.

Loved our visit last week. Had a seasonal sharing platter & a small plate of tapenade washed down with a lovely bottle of red & a local beer. We sat in the window watching the world go by, great!

Liked it. We had some cheese and some ham, with some nice foreign lager. Made for a good lunch. Been meaning to go here fir a while, glad we did.

Nice little beer place with some ham and cheese

We popped in here for a coffee en route from the Railway Station to M&S. Because of ongoing building work at the front of the station there was a lot of pedestrian traffic going past this great venue; missing a trick, I think, by not having any boards out re coffee etc We only wanted a quick coffee but the menu with assorted platters and all manner of meaty things looked as delicious as when we visited several years ago. The Americanos, one with regular milk, the other with oatmilk were really good quality. I was surprised to see that they were only £2.80 each-similar in other establishments would be £3.50-£4. This would be a great venue to meet up with a group of friends or family with good sharing menus and ample seating.

All good. I like it in here. Having a beard helps 🫡 Have never eaten here but the beer is good and always a nice range.

What a cool spot. Loved the wide selection of cheese and charcuterie platters, they have an option of pick in choose or have the kitchen decide. Wide selection of drinks, loved the wine. Underneath they have a cute little speakeasy style seating area. Great for after work drinks/snacks
