The food was gorgeous, good choice of raman dishes & picky bits! Will defo be coming back again.

I recently visited House of Fu Japanese Restaurant, and as always, it was an outstanding experience. This relaxed spot never fails to impress with the consistent quality of both the food and the service. The dishes are always superb, and you can really taste the care that goes into every meal. What really stood out this time was how they went above and beyond to ensure a friend of mine, who has specific allergies, was safe. She’s allergic to mustard and a few other things, and the staff were incredibly diligent in making sure her meal was free from any allergens. They took the time to show her the ingredients and discuss potential cross-contamination, which really put us at ease. Their attention to detail is second to none. It’s no surprise that I’ve been a loyal customer since day one. The combination of great food, a friendly atmosphere, and exceptional customer care keeps me coming back. Highly recommend House of Fu to anyone looking for delicious, high-quality Japanese cuisine in a welcoming environment!

Always a wonderful place to come and eat, take in some buzzing atmosphere and be served by passionate and friendly staff. On this particular visit, Tilly was amazing. Amongst her other loveliness, She recommended the Szechuan Beef Dan Dan special and it was fricking away awesome! This should not be a sometime offering at House of Fu...it should definitely live on the menu permanently!

Super friendly staff and great value tasty food. Really good for a quick meal before a gig, but equally you could stay longer with cocktails!

We booked a table for 6:30pm on a Thursday (Jan offer). We'd never been before, it was very busy and we had to wait for people to leave before our table was ready. The atmosphere was slightly chaotic, and the restaurant was very cold. The menu is quite small. I went for the Spicy Tantanmen. The wait for food was about half an hour. The broth was lovely but halfway through it became quite difficult to finish because it was thick, rich and very salty. I thought the proportions were a bit off, for a broth that rich I'd like a lot more noodles and toppings and less broth. As you can see in the picture, the pork and toppings got a bit lost in the broth, the presentation could've been better for the price. It was very flavoursome but in terms of spice I'd give it a 1/5, quite mild. The noodles were nice and chewy, I just wish there were more. The bok choi was stringy and hard to chew, I think baby bok choi would've been more pleasant to eat. My partner enjoyed his Korean fried chicken ramen but said the portion was small for the price. The reason we tried house of fu was because they were advertising £10 ramen in January. We only found out after dining that hidden in the fine print on their website this ended at 6pm. In my opinion my ramen wasn't quite worth £15. Due to the small menu and atmosphere not being my personal preference I'm not sure I'd go back. Service charge was added to the bill automatically which we didn't realise until after we'd paid. 2 ramen, 1 side and 1 drink £44.

Amazing food. Very stylish interior. Definitely worth a visit when in Leeds. Ramen is incredible. Sake also lovely.

I really wanted to like this place but I just don’t think it’s worth all the hype 😬 food may look nice but it’s not actually that good, they seem to spend more effort into how the food looks compared to how it tastes. Ive had better ramen in Leeds. The frozen drink (margarita) is also tiny for the price! Smallest glass I’ve ever seen. We ordered the Korean Mazesoba and Spicy Fu Tantanmen and can honestly say I won’t be returning here

Every dish I've ever had at House of Fu has been sublime and gives me the kind of flavour memories worth travelling for. The staff are lovely and service usually top notch - though it was pretty slow today (23rd Feb), they were lovely when they attended to us! Four very happy customers.

Big flavours in a buzzy, colourful setting. Kids were happy too; portions for the kids menu were very generous. Lovely service.

Walked past on a Saturday around 1pm and it seemed to be queuing out the door! So we decided to walk around a bit until 2pm and tried again. No more queue but they still couldn’t seat us - we decided to book for 45 mins later and come back. It was only about 5-10 minutes after our booking time before we got seated. The table was a bit wobbly but our waitress was accommodating by providing a little sticky pad to offset the table. The food came pretty quick after ordering. - The kimchi flavour was nice; however could have had larger lettuce pieces. You could tell it was more the mass-produced kimchi. - The gyoza was standard fare, a little on the small side but they had ‘wings’ which was pleasant to see. - Cucumber salad was surprisingly provided in cucumber chunks rather than the sliced ribbons. The flavour was good though with the sesame oil, chili flakes and nori. - The Korean fried chicken tsukemen was delightful, with plenty of flavour. The fried chicken was crispy and sweet and offset with the spicy mess of the accompanying kimchi. - Katsu chicken curry was ok, provided in a dish rather than a bowl, which made eating with chopsticks a little tougher than normal - recommend to use a fork or spoon for this! We finished off with some desserts and they rounded the meal off quite nicely. The matcha cheesecake didn’t have much in the way of matcha flavour; but it was nice and creamy. It’s a bit on the pricey side considering the sizes of the small dishes you can get but the dishes are a unique fusion of Japanese and Korean cuisine with a nice kitchen-style interior design within the restaurant. There’s plenty of branding and even T-shirts available, showing off their cross country franchise status. Would recommend if you like your Asian fusion and also traditional Asian dishes!

First time dining here and we can see why it’s so popular.The restaurant had a lively buzz but it actually created a fun, energetic vibe — good for hanging out with friends. We tried the Original Fu Ramen and the California Bowl — both were amazing. The ramen features Hakata noodles, which we really enjoyed. The broth was rich and flavorful with a hint of burnt garlic oil. We also appreciated the addition of menma, BBQ chashu pork, and the soft-boiled egg, which had a silky texture, a runny yolk, and a deep, savory flavor. The California Bowl was fresh, and we loved it paired with edamame — a true nod to Japanese flavors. The ramen was delicious as always, but the bok choy and egg didn’t seem very fresh. The egg, in particular, was definitely old—the yolk was dry instead of runny. That being said, the flavours were still great, and I always enjoy the ramen here. However, the service was disappointing. The front-of-house staff weren’t very welcoming—I didn’t receive a single smile, and no one checked in to see if everything was okay with my meal. It also took a while to get someone’s attention for the bill, and when it finally arrived, it was just placed on my table without a word. Unfortunately, the service really let down the overall experience.

Called in this evening, and was pretty impressed! The Spicy Fu Tantanmen had a kick without being insanely overpowering, with firm noodles (a good default). The Fu-Fried Chicken was most certainly from fresh (as opposed to frozen), and was a hearty side. Friendly staff, good vibe (busy even on a Tuesday evening). Would recommend and return.

Love House of Fu. The staff can't do any more to make it a lovely experience and it is the best ramen I've had.

Tasty bowl of ramen and fried chicken! Good atmosphere, it was very crowded at 6:30pm on Sunday but we managed to get a table luckily! Seems like they are doing Karaoke upstairs?!! Anyway, we will come back to try the other ramen.

I went for lunch with 2 friends 24/1/25. We were able to be accommodated. Johnny welcomes us into the restaurant and provided really good service, explained which dishes were on the lunch offer. We needed a quick turn around as one of us had to get back to work. The food was really tasty and it was a really positive experience. Thank you

Great food, great service, funky hip vibe. It only drops a star on service as I had to wait slightly longer than I expected for the one dish I ordered, which meant the whole meal took a bit too long to be a valid lunch time option. The staff were all lovely and helpful thoough, so no complaints there at all.

I rented out a section of the upstairs bar for a friends reunion and it was 10/10. The music was great, a lot of selection of cocktails and beers and all in all a fantastic time. Would highly recommend. Big shout out to Tillie and Jacob

First time here, we had 5 different noodle/bowl dishes all very good, came with in-laws and our kids (9&12). Good to large size portions, had to take a couple of left overs away for lunch the next day as so good

I’ve been to House of Fu twice within 2 weeks and going again tonight! The food is always great, amazing veggie and vegan options on the clearly marked menu. The reward point scheme is great, I had a slight issue with mine but emailed and got a quick response that solved the issue, so I cannot complain at the excellent customer service 👏🏻

Everything was perfect. Speed of service, quality, even the sides came out within minutes. This was my birthday meal, and I usually don't plan anything for my birthday as it always goes wrong. My friend insisted, and I'm so glad he did. Thank you House of Fu. I'll be back soon.

Been to the House of Fu branch in Leeds about several times by myself, dined solo at 2:30pm which was my booked reservation at that time it was busy, otherwise the food choices I had is always on point and pretty filling. The service from the staff is cool and decent, not forced and not rushed, the ambiance and setting of the restaurant is awesome, looking forward to visiting again at some point.

House of Fu didn’t explode onto the Leeds food scene—it crept onto it like a stealthy ninja. And honestly, that feels pretty fitting. From the sleek Japanese-inspired decor to the tucked-away cocktail bars, this place is all about understated cool. It doesn’t shout for attention; it lets you discover its charm like some kind of urban explorer. When I arrived, the place was buzzing—packed to the rafters with a hipster crowd that seemed to have rolled straight out of a vintage thrift store. The vibe was casual and fun, and I couldn’t help but notice one hilarious detail: literally every single person in the kitchen was rocking a snapback. Imagine walking into the Vans store and finding out that they've given up on trainers and now they're slinging Gyoza. Now, I’ll admit it—I made a rookie mistake. I lowered my expectations, assuming it might just be another Instagram-friendly spot with mediocre food. Big mistake. Huge. The dishes here don’t just talk the talk—they’re walking too! Fresh, bold flavors smacked me right in the taste buds, and the quality was undeniable. From the rich pork broth to the crispy cauliflower, every bite delivered far more than I’d anticipated. And the kicker? The prices. For food this good, you’d expect your wallet to take a hit, but no—it’s surprisingly reasonable. That said, I’d love to see them push the spice game a little further. Their “spicy” ramen was tame, and I found myself craving something with a real fiery kick. Maybe a challengingly spicy ramen to separate the bold from the brave? In short: House of Fu is a stealthy hit that doesn’t need to shout to make its mark. Highly recommended—and I’ll be back with a sweat towel if they take my spicy challenge seriously.

Bang average Spicy Fu T Ramen, lack of taste and floury noodles. No extras given to add to Ramen meal such as toppings, garlic, vinegar, chilli’s, sauces, etc. Gyosas expensive and poor tasting. Pint of beer costing £6.50!! Expensive.

Highly recommend booking the kareoke for hen do’s or large events! Super service from start to finish, great kareoke room! We had the best time! Thank you guys!

Had a brilliant night in December close to Xmas (hardest time of year in this industry) the wine list doesn’t disappoint. We ordered a mix of small plates and a main and the food is not only unique and interesting but so well executed. Flavour and texture binded beautifully. Mega impressed. Service was so attentive and relaxed, everyone was so nice to us but so down to Earth. Such an interesting venue with so much going for it. Absolute Leeds bucket list :) Also that tiramisu is to die for

I ordered the Spicy FU, which came highly recommended as a popular dish. The atmosphere and service were fantastic, but unfortunately, the food itself was overly salted. I found the saltiness much harder to handle than the spice, which made it difficult to enjoy. Despite my love for ramen, I couldn’t finish it, which was a real shame.

Food was lovely as always! friendly and speedy service throughout our time at the restaurant and all the staff were so kind and welcoming. Chicken Teriyaki bowl was so good.

House of fu is mine and my girlfriends go to place for dinner! I love their original fu ramen and the other half loves the chicken. We always try and guess the special gyoza they have on and get that as a starter. The staff are nice and when I ring up they always try their best to fit us in even when fully booked! 10/10 couldn’t recommend more, also it’s worth getting there 20mins early and having a cocktail in their upstairs bar as it is hidden away but really nice !!!

We had our Christmas party here and I just want to say a massive thank you to Elle for all the coordination, logistics and support on the night, we couldn’t have asked for anything better and she’s a credit to her team. Also a massive shoutout to Ellie and Jacob who were working on the bar and incredibly helpful, supportive and friendly on the night, it made our Christmas party a massive success and can’t thank them enough. If you were going to organise your Christmas party here, I can’t think of anywhere better to have it, thanks to everyone.

I've eaten here quite a few times with family and friends. The service has always been top quality. Polite, friendly, knowledgeable staff serving amazing food. The food really really is something else. Colleagues have used the Karaoke too and the facilities here are pretty amazing! Finish your night off in the very cool cocktail bar where you can tailor your drink or choose from a very tasty drinks menu while listening to some very good tunes played live by the DJ.

Great restaurant for ramen with fantastic service from the staff. When we were served all the staff seemed very knowledgeable about the menu, being able to answer any questions regarding the food. There was an issue with stock, having ran out of a drink someone at the table tried to order. However, that wasn't a huge issue and the staff were very accommodating. The food was delicious, honestly the best ramen I've had so far. I had the Original Fu Ramen, and it was amazing. The meat was perfectly cooked, the broth was filling, and the egg wonderfully gooey. I honestly struggled to eat the massive portion as it was so filling. We also had the Fu Fried Chicken, and that was the exact right amount of crispy. Definitely would recommend this place, and definitely would go again.

I love House of Fu! Their fried cauliflower is awesome as are their gyozas. But today I tried one of their ramens, and oh boy! What a treat! Our waiter, Johnny I think, was not only very nice, he also was on point with his recommendations. If you haven't tried this place yet, well, you are missing something really good.

Service was delightful and I would like to mention your staff member Emily who served us, she is a lovely lass and we couldn’t have asked for the better server, made the whole experience wonderful and all served with a lovely smile.

I've been twice now and I really like the place, the food each time has been really good and I look forward to going back

I like the food a lot. Many dishes are world class. But service is utterly weird. Seemingly annoyed by having to repeat the specials and the contents waitresses shoot the words without thinking this needs to be understood to make a choice. Why I drop the service is because the discretionary charge is not mentioned on the menu, not mentioned by waiters, not brought up at all during payment. I just received “we automatically charge it”… Doesn’t seem right.

Great staff. Slow service. Miso Chicken Ramen made me nauseous as there was far too much miso paste in it.

Dining here was a true delight. Not only was the food beautifully presented, but it was incredibly flavourful. The prices were incredibly reasonable, especially when considering the generous bowls of ramen that were served. The staff were attentive and friendly and when there was a minor (and understandable) mix up with my order, they couldn't have reacted better. They were incredibly quick to rectify it and made certain that I was satisfied with my food. I'm excited to sample the rest of their menu

Waiter was polite but the food was bad, i eat everything with a lot of salt and the miso chicken ramen that they gaved me was like somebody droped the whole jar of salt in it, ironically the gyoza was tasteless because it didnt had salt 🤣 so i wouldn't come back, the waiter always said "well it's miso so is a bit more salty" we have been to tokyo we ate the shoyu ramen, miso ramen, famous ichiran ramen, also to london, but i have never tasted a ramen so saltier in my life, they could've said its a mistake let me replace it but you know people these days they wouldn't recognise a mistake ever. So if you want an authentic ramen experience, just try to find somewhere else.

Starters were delicious but my main was disappointing. Mainly rice, little veg and the chicken was chewy and tasted of skin. The frozen cocktails were watery too. I ordinarily love house of fu bit my latest visit was a bit style over substance tbh

I did karaoke here with a group of 7. It was really fun and the staff were friendly. Only criticism I’d give is the £10 minimum drinks ordering limit, though I’m sure you could go to the bar yourself to get a drink

Here I tried first time Spicy Miso Tantanmen it was superb as well as frozen Yuzu Margarita was awesome as well staff was really appreciating
