We really enjoyed our meal here. I had the excellent value set meal - gyozas, katsu chicken curry and a pint of Asahi for £16. Very tasty and plenty of it. My wife loved her salmon Bento box, which again was very generous. Staff were delightful. Only minor criticism is the door let in a bit of a draught. Sit further away if you're nesh like me. It's not fine dining - it's fine Japanese food.

What a super find, excellent VFM for a city centre restaurant. Independent, friendly team, eclectic mix of customers, informal. Highly recommend the Bento boxes for quality & VFM, we had the teriyaki beef, and hot salmon. The party also enjoyed the salmon sushi, chicken wings, and a chicken noodle dish. Drinks were also excellent VFM. £20 per head on a Friday night 👌 We'll be back 😋

Went for lunch. Food was good, lady at the till was just miserable. Super unhelpful and seemed annoyed just taking an order.

Used to order from here a lot because food was great. Last few times it hasn’t been like that. The salmon teriyaki was well over cooked and so dry I couldn’t eat it. The rest was a bit meh. Disappointed :(

Amazing sushi it was fresh and delicious, the chicken yakitori was juicy and the sauce was full of flavour I wish they delivered to kippax ! I would order everyday.

Finally tried this after many recommendations, and I have to say that it was really good especially their seared salmon and cheesy roll. I also had their sumo set and crazy salmon set, the salmon sashimi was very fresh. The size was quite big

This place is alright for a quick lunch. I've been here several times and the food is decent apart from the sushi. They don't look very uniform or appealing. They give you the off cuts as well. I'd come here but avoid the sushi. The katsu chicken curry was nice with plenty of food on the plate. The service can be a bit slow.

The chicken katsu was juicy and cooked to perfection, the avocado and salmon sushi were fresh and delectable. Gyoza really tasty and crispy and the beer was light and refreshing. Good value for money, friendly service, will definitely revisit!

The first time I tried this cafe with a friend, the food was delicious, and the service was swift and courteous. Definitely going back.

The mixed tempura is nicely done. It will be more perfect if there are more Sweet Potatoes or baby corn and remove cauliflowers and broccoli for this dish. The deep fried salmon cube and sushi are also worth to try.

Have eaten here many times both in the restaurant and getting takeaway and the food is always delicious. The weekday deal is very good value for money.

Stay away if you’re vegetarian. The yasai curry was £9+ for some rice and about 4 vegetables! We got a massive piece of broccoli, carrot, cauliflower and potato, all the size of the palm of your hand - they hadn’t even bothered to cut the veg up. Also got the vegetarian chicken chunk bento box which was just awful. The veggie chicken was soggy and mushy and they’d obviously tried to replicate the “skin” look, but it looked more like crocodile skin - very off-putting. Unfortunately bad value for money

Absolutely brilliant, super nice sushi!

I loved the food, especially the Sesame Noodles. It has a huge menu with lots of delicious options! The service is great and the building is beautiful inside! It has a car park very close by and is easy to find! Definitely recommend to those who have a taste for Japanese cuisine.

Curry was delicious but the cucumber thing was inedible. Had to throw it away.

This place. Oh my, this place. Every time, it's just brilliant. The food is delicious. Eat in? Delicious. Takeaway? Delicious. The sumo set, hello. My word. Fresh and filling, succulent fish, just the whole shebang. Ace. And the tofu katsu curry. I don't know how they do that tofu, but it's perfect.

I went to this restaurant at lunch time and it was fully costumer with take away guest. They offering £6 lunch box , it was really good and affordable. They not only offering Japanese food, they also provide Chinese food and Hong Kong style food. Well recommend!

Small place that packed a large bang. The best sushi rolls I've had in Leeds. I recommend the prawn volcano rolls, very large in size and presented well. As for the taste 10/10. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Keep up the good work.

1st time diners. Absolutely amazing place! I'm very new to Japanese food but have to say everything we tried was delicious. The dining area is quite small but while we were there (party of 4) it was reasonably busy but never felt crowded. The service was top tier, we were neither bothered nor left unattended, perfect. We were all planning our next visit before we paid the bill. Would highly recommend.

Really like the food here. Great range of proper Japanese stuff beyond the usual 'ramen and sushi rolls' you get at a lot of of Japanese places around here.

Can not fault Senbon Sakura, if you're eating in the restaurant or at home, the food has the same great taste and is always hot. Our delivery arrived 40 minutes early, it took us by surprise to hear the door go. The young man was very polite.

Nestled away in the city centre of Leeds is this absolute gem of a restaurant. I have struggled to find a Japanese that ticks all the boxes but after coming here yesterday, I have finally found it. The prices are so good I ordered two mains for myself and the portions did not disappoint.

My comfort place when I want to eat something delicious and quick. Supportive and friendly staff. Cozy, japanese-korean style atmosphere. Best fried chicken in Leeds 🥰🥰 love chicken karaage and teriyaki wings I come here very often!

Went once in February and it was so nice we went again. Wide range of sushi and sashimi options. Tried the chicken katsu this time- the chicken was crispy and the curry flavourful. Chicken gyoza was delicious too. The wine wasn't much to marvel at but overall it was a great meal.

I will probably not order from you again. Quality has been going down, delivery times increasing. This time starting to pass 2 hours from ordering. These standards are not acceptable.

It’s not Japanese ramen at all, it’s Chinese pork belly soup + Hong Kong style barbecued pork ramen! The eggs are Chinese-style marinated eggs, not Japanese-style runny eggs! no next time! 😾 (The picture and text do not match the bowl of ramen on the menu) When you go in to eat Japanese food, but it changes to Chinese food, you are very disappointed! But my friend’s curry rice was good!

Stumbled on this place last night and i was pleasantly surprised. It has a nice, cosy atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I ordered a mix of sushi and everything was delicious! Great sized portions, i left full and satisfied! Highly recommend!

The food was delicious and the selection was great. The staff welcomed you through dotes with a smile. The food arrived quickly and let me tell you - it was so delicious and freshly made. The gyozas were crispy and the filling was 5 star.

A really nice setting and vibe. The food was ok, not great. The service is fairly poor, though we went within an hour of closing, so I think the staff were tired. My main gripe was that they didn't serve dishes at the same time as the others you are with. They actually forgot my main dish and served it when my partner had almost finished hers. It could be a great place with a bit more organisation and effort in the kitchen.

Got the Tonkatsu egg donburi, a bento, some tempura and a couple pieces of sushi. Unfortunately the rice had picked up a really strong plastic smell and taste, and had a really unpleasant texture so we couldn't eat most of it. The sushi was just alright, and the seafood tempura tasted like it wasn't particularly fresh, if a little old. The tonkatsu itself was kind of alright, if a bit overcooked and soggy, but it was edible. Ideally I'd hope for better than just being edible if I'm eating out though. Overall it certainly wasn't the worst I've had, but it left a lot to be desired and was a bit disappointing.

Perfect as always but the only thing I would like to note it's a salmon quantity in sushi roll. It's not use to be a lot of ingredients there but this time salmon was that small amount that almost couldn't see it. I hope it's by mistake not an usual amount in there from now.

Popped in on the way home to pick up a take away. Staff were very attentive, helped my daughters with the menu, and had the order ready in good time. The food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be going back!

Booked a table, got there five mins early. They literally gave our table away to someone as we got there. Their only solution was to wait for at least half an hour for a table to be free. I cannot stand around as I am disabled. Lost a regular customer now.

Don't waste your money. Inedible.

The sushi was really poor. The rice was overcooked, most pieces were falling apart and the ones that were holding were absolutely massive and difficult to eat. There was too much mayo on everything. This is not sushi and definitely not worth the money. The items that weren’t sushi were decent l, so I might try something else one day. But a definite no for sushi.

We requested via phone and information box for no sesame seeds due to an allergy however when food arrived it was coved in sesame seeds.

Rhe driver went beyond the call of duty abd was excellent

The Kaarage, chicken gyoza, teriyaki chicken roll and chicken Katsu are good. But don’t go for Ramen. They use instant noodles instead of the proper soba noodle. Their “tonkatsu” ramen is bland and didn’t taste of pork at all and more of a fishy taste. Their cha su is dry and the wrong cut of pork The egg was hard boiled to the point of rubber You can do better with the instant ramen packets from a Asian supermarket and when I provided some feedback the response from the wait staff from the feedback was “sorry this is Japanese ramen”. This was without a doubt the worst ramen I’ve ever had.

All the sushi items and the coke were warm because the bag with sushi was tied with the bag containing hot food. And for too long. Probably for the same reason the salmon sushi was smelly and had a bad taste. The order arrived 1 HOUR and 7 minutes late. I wanted to cancel the order, but it wasn't possible. So asked for a partial refund, but the restaurant never answered me.

Experience: Disappointing 😔 We love Senbon Sakura, but this time they let us down. We ordered their Beef Gyudon, but what we got tasted and looked like Beef Teriyaki. When we complained, the staff insisted it was Gyudon. We expected better from this supposedly authentic Japanese restaurant. 😕🇯🇵 We love the sushi tho but the gyudon, meh. that’s definitely not a gyudon. We’ve been to Japan and other restos around asia, Gyudon tastes different from what senbon is serving. Order took 1hr 20 to arrive and was stone cold when it did. The delivery driver expected me to come and find him at his car and wasn’t impressed about delivering to doors despite a delivery cost of over £5. The food as well as cold was burned.
