Food which its sister pub down the road doesn't do, which is a plus point. Great beer and knowledgeable staff.

Beautifully restored building but very noisy with completely redundant background music! Two of our steak orders were mixed up and one was replaced but was still inedible and was not charged to the bill, which was still very expensive. Overall all 6 of us felt it was not an enjoyable experience which we shall not be repeating.

when handing the paper bag broke because half of the soup had spilled out and the food fell on floor (still in boxes and bowl). I have not received half the soup

Went to a Northen soul dayer. Great atmosphere, busy and good music. Nice dancefloor and reasonably priced bar.

I had an absolutely dreadful experience with Zaap Thai in Headingley, Leeds. From the moment I picked up the phone, things went downhill fast. I initially called to place an order, and after being passed around three different members of staff, I was left feeling more frustrated with each transfer. The cherry on top? They hung up on me—mid-sentence. This is beyond unprofessional. After the abrupt disconnection, I had to call back and explain everything again, only to be met with no effort to resolve my problematic order. At no point did any of the staff offer a solution or show any sense of accountability. The complete lack of customer service was not only disappointing but utterly infuriating. If this is how Zaap Thai in Headingley treats a returning customer, I can’t imagine how they handle first-timers. My partner and I have frequented this place multiple times, but this experience has left me questioning whether it's worth continuing to support them. The complete lack of customer service, combined with the frustration of dealing with an unhelpful and disorganized team, has soured my opinion entirely. It’s a shame, as we’ve enjoyed the food in the past, but with service like this, I’m not sure we’ll be back.

Brilliant date night! We arrived early to catch the last of the sunshine on the balcony with 241 cocktails. We then moved inside and enjoyed amazing food served by the fabulous Nellie. We highly recommend the chateaubriand and the new Malbec wine we were encouraged to try was beautiful. Nellie went above and beyond to make our night the best and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks Nellie and the rest of the team, we’ll be back soon

Wanted somewhere close to Leeds university and this was perfect. Plenty of nearby restaurants though mainly Korean/Thai. We paid for a room including breakfast and that was good, usual selection on the buffet plus hot food.

We had a the Royal Bottomless Brunch. The starter was amazing, cooked to perfection served hot. We asked for a break between the main course and this was accommodated. The main course was smaller than expected but welcomed! I was panicking thinking I wouldn't be able to eat my main but it was just right! The cocktails were delicious (apart from the mango fizz!) but that's merely personal choice. My only criticism would be the insence sticks that were lit near our table. We have asthma and it was quite strong for us. However it was in keeping with the restaurant's aesthetic. I would highly recommend and we will return!

After a horrible long day of travel, I arrived here 10 minutes before closing expecting to be turned away. But nope, they were friendly and made really nice food. The staff were really lovely and it made such a great first impression of Leeds

Me decidí a comer en Revolution Leeds. Para empezar estaba bien, muy tranquilo consiguió la comida a través de la aplicación. Luego sonó la alarma de incendios (no es culpa de los negocios) sin embargo después de esperar fuera durante 10 minutos y volver en nuestra comida que quedaba estaba fría. Intentamos lo que pudimos pero todo estaba frío. La gente que trabajaba nunca venía para ver si estábamos bien, preguntar si necesitábamos algo y después de que claramente habíamos terminado de comer y empujado nuestros platos al borde, todavía nunca vino. Todo lo que les molestaba era charlar en el bar y bailar y charlar con algunos chicos en computadoras portátiles. No en ningún momento se mostró ningún servicio al cliente y arruinó nuestra comida y la tarde en la ciudad. Realmente es necesario que se esté llevando a cabo alguna formación de gestión, o simplemente un gerente en general. No volverá.

Lunchtime £9.99 deal is cracking , I recommend steak & mushroom on toasted bloomer sandwich with chips on the side. Decent medium size wine included.

Canal Club exceeded my expectations - the photos online are very nice but the actual venue is even nicer in real life! We held a large networking UKREiiF fringe event here during the week and I am extremely impressed with everything - I hold a lot of events and only wish they were all this well looked after. The staff were all extremely helpful, friendly and engaged with our event. In particular, Ben at VenueFuel oversaw all organisation, helped me hugely over email and the phone with pre-orders and arrangements, he's always very pleasant and helpful to speak to. Jess was managing our event on the night and she too, was ridiculously helpful and did everything she could to ensure a wonderful event. T'Mia was also brilliant and helpful with setting up our showreels on the big screens. All other staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating going above and beyond to look after us. They were run off their feet as we had 200 guests but were all amazing, friendly and dedicated to looking after our every need. The food was incredible (Mark, the head chef was also super helpful) - all our guests were raving about it. Often I find with events, the food is mediocre due to the bulk orders but not on this occasion! All costs were very reasonable also. I cannot recommend Canal Club enough! Thank you to all of you for our amazing event. I'm looking forward to returning next year (if not before!)
