Actually, all the staff we interacted with were super friendly. Went to a gig downstairs afterwards- again a brilliant experience! This place has been on the go for 25 years. I am not surprised. Went here for a comedy show for Dan Nightingale and it was amazing, the layout made sure the max amount of people could fit in and also with the medium sized bar it did very well at handling the amount of drinks that were requested. The event went on in the separate room downstairs so not too sure how the upstairs room is but I can tell you that this is a decent place for a good night

Thought we’d make an evening of things and have dinner before a gig. Nice little treat… Pleasant and friendly bar staff Chicken burger and Chicken Parma ordered - nothing flash or fancy. Food arrived about 15 mins later Big chicken burger, usual salad and trimmings and some relish. You’re paying for the chicken in reality - everything else is dressing. How 1 rubberised and bouncy overcooked and tasteless piece of chicken can cost £15 I’m not sure Chicken Parmo - looked impressive, juicy meat, crispy coating but just no flavour at all - didn’t even taste like chicken, more a large moist random chunk of protein. It could have been any meat, but it just did not taste like chicken. Chips with both meals were undercooked and hard. Kitchen and pub itself was quite quiet, next door to the BBC Yorkshire studios so I was hoping for big things to impress the media lot. This wouldn’t have impressed a church newsletter writer. Would not eat here again. 0/10.

The Wardrobe is a gem in Leeds' must go bars. The staff are exceptionally friendly, attentive and welcoming. Their wide selection of beers, wines and cocktails are excellent and worth ever penny you spend. The new menu is sublime but most of all is the atmosphere which generates happiness from the moment you walk through the door.

First time visiting with 2 friends on our lunch break from work. We decided to treat ourselves with more than a Sainsbury's meal deal. I was very impressed. I've been reliably informed they've had a refurb and have a chef/menu. Some small posh tapas plates for around £9 and I had the double burger and chips for £15. A little pricey for lunch was a treat. Friends had the scallops and mushroom toast. All really tasty, cooked fresh, well presented. My burger was big and filling and proper chips like treble cooked. Special shout out to our server, didn't get his name but was really friendly, no notepad to take our drinks and food but all correct and served with a smile. Will definitely go back again hopefully to see one of the gigs or comedy shows. For those that don't know Corinne Bailey Raye is playing 16/08/24 apparently she used to work there. Highly recommend

We went to a gig and arrived a little early, buying ourselves food in the 30 minutes before doors opened. It was fresh and delicious, I had the cheesy bacon fries. The gig itself was excellent, everyone is close to the stage and that made the atmosphere incredible. My only gripe was the lights were blinding as they swung around if you were at a higher level. Didn't eat so can't speak there. Came for a gig in the downstairs area. Me and my sister are both disabled and arranged in advance. While the staff were lovely some aspects of accessibility were lacking. While upstairs the disabled toilet is located in clear view, downstairs it's in the backstage area, doesn't have many bars for support and also doesn't have a red string alarm. On top of that a member of staff *has* to accompany you to the toilet when you use it. The lift is a nice touch, but the fact it also goes to the backstage area and disabled customers can't come and go freely isn't ideal. The disabled area was cordoned off and despite all the wheelchairs, mobility aids etc contacting in advance it was small and unfit for use, and right next to the backstage door which led to a lot of shuffling/squeezing. When asked by a wheelchair user if they could move to the opposite side of the raised platform or further into the venue, they were told "absolutely not" due to "safety concerns". This is where my frustration shines through. I understand not allowing disabled folks in the pit to avoid injury. But shoving us all in a corner, refusing to allow us to sit anywhere else, making it clear that moving seats to try and let the wheelchair users behind us see the stage better would "block the doors", never mind the fact physical disability is not the only reason someone uses accessible features and we were positioned right next to the speaker. It's clear to me in the downstairs venue that accessibility is a rushed afterthought and that's disappointing. I also witnessed another wheelchair user be actively ignored because the bar is too high and doesn't have even a shorter section for disabled ordering. I had to wave someone down for them (as I use a cane so am able to stand for short periods). On top of that we had at least one member of staff sitting or standing right by us the whole time. I'm 22 years old at an indie rock gig I don't need babysitting. I honestly came away feeling quite infantilised and condescended by the accessibility conditions as I'm sure especially some of the wheelchair users did. It's a shame because I'm certain this venue has the capacity to do better. Having a lift at all is already a big step up from lots of Leeds' venues. It's just sad that it's lacking in some major ways that makes it difficult as a disabled person. Drinks weren't too bad downstairs, 2.75 for a pint of coke, 4.75 for my sister's single vodka coke. Could be worse for inner city. Gig itself was brilliant and staff were kind enough. The accessibility just really needs some work.

Group of 4 girls, we came to the venue to meet a friend lastnight. As soon as we walked in we went to the bar we were refused service for apparently being too drunk. We were very confused and thought there must be some kind of mistake because we had literally walked in and went straight to the bar. We stayed to see our friend who then went and bought our drinks for us anyways. Behind the bar could see that we had these drinks as I could see the dirty looks we were getting from some of the staff talking about us. Really can’t understand why we were unwelcomed by this bar. We hadn’t behaved in any way that would be considered too drunk, so I felt the need to leave this review. Definitely won’t be returning.

Haven't eaten here so can't rate the food. We've been a few times for gigs. First couple of times these were confined to the bar/room downstairs while the bar upstairs remained open to the public. This worked well as I guess the numbers are restricted for each space. However last time we went, the event used the whole building, so you couldn't get in at all without a ticket. The main act was in the downstairs room, and a support DJ was playing in the upstairs bar. As a result they were able to advertise an extra 150 tickets. But of course, when the main act is on, pretty much everyone wants to be downstairs. So compared to the first time we saw him, it was absolutely rammed. Uncomfortably so at times where you couldn't dance or move. Within an hour I'd had 3 drinks spilt over me. Felt like the venue cared far more about revenue than customer experience. And as a side note, they have some reasonably priced cocktails, but we didn't manage to find any that we actually liked. Very minimal on the spirits and very high on overly sweet mixers, so that's probably why they were reasonably priced!

A proper pub. Good range of beers etc. Friendly Landlord and staff. Large car park and outside kid's area. Plenty of tables and seating. It has become our regular refuelling station.

Spam is thinner than a slice of ham. I ordered a long sandwich and it only came with two slices of super thin spam.
