Great food, got the meal for 3, there was enough food for 4.

Food was outstanding been here a few times and very consistent with their service and atmosphere. Perfect for couples or families. Had my sons birthday meal here too. Lovely decor and we love the boothes. Food really is exquisite highly recommend a visit 👌

I really like this Thai restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant, and Pad Thai is my favorite dish! The service is great — Alexander is always responsive and friendly. There is a service charge, but it’s worth it. The menu is in English, and you can also view a Chinese version with photos on WeChat, which makes ordering really easy. A great spot for dinner with friends, coworkers, or a romantic night out. I really like this Thai restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and Pad Thai is my favorite dish! The service is great, Alexander is super friendly and always responsive. There is a service fee, but it's worth it. The menu is in English, but you can also see it in Chinese with photos on WeChat, it’s super practical. Perfect for a dinner with friends, colleagues or lovers.

Attended an event in the Private Dining room to celebrate Songkran and had a fabulous time. The food was delicious and presented so beautifully. Orin, our server was so attentive to everyone's needs and made the event really special.

Lovely venue. The food smelled nice downstairs too, but didn't have any as I was only attending an event upstairs.

We went there to celebrate my birthday, and it has always been a fulfilling experience in the past. The food was lovely, but the service was not up to par. While the food arrived in good condition and on time, the table preparation was lacking. No plates or serving spoons were available, so my husband had to ask the waiter for them. This is not what we typically expect. Additionally, the sticky rice we ordered, which cost £9 each, was quite small, and the mango served was not ripe and rather dry. ☹️😢😢

Came here for bottomless for a 40th, good selection of drinks prosecco and cocktails. Food was lovely we had the sharing platters and a main- delicious! Would recommend to anyone looking for something really nice.

Visted Chaophraya On Several Occasions, The Last Time Been A Few Ago. I Must Say It Has Elevated Itself In Terms Of The Taste Of It's Dishes. The Flavours Are Unique & Really Pack That "Wow" Factor, For Sure! Its Always Been Good But On This Occasion The Food Was Exceptional. Service Was As Expected, Great & The Decor As Always Eye Catching. The Ambience & Setting Of The Place Was Pleasant. Prices Are Slightly On The Higher End But Taking Into Account Your Paying For Quality Food, Dining In A Stunning Setting & Vibrant Atmosphere With Outstanding Service, I Think It's Fair To Say It Merits The Prices On The Menu. Service Charge Is Optional. Plenty Vegetarian Options & All Chicken & Duck Dishs Are Halal. Plenty Of Seating Available With The Premises Having 2 Floors Boasting A Stunning Thai Theme & Decor. Overall, Very Happy & Will Continue Been A Regular.

Vegan food really good. Tried the vegan sweet and sour, Tom Kha, and sweetcorn fritters. Also had the chicken sate sticks and the beef. 10/10

Average food as pretty standard - good presentation tho, ordered, orders a cocktail and they forgot, promised to take it off from bill and they forgot that too - friend couldn't be bothered, staff did look keen, friendly and attentive, the music was a bit disco-ey as my friend said , I was fine with it .

First time going here tonight, we had an exceptional time. The meal was outstanding and Cristiano our waiter went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Amazing vegan options, we had the Pad Thai with vegan chicken, Green Curry with vegan chicken and coconut rice and for dessert we had vegan ice cream which was all delicious. We can't wait to go back.

A bit disappointing. Overpriced and very average food, provided with average service to a soundtrack of excessive background noise. Mysterious "child charity payment" on bill that was poorly and reluctantly explained by waiting staff. We would not go again.

Amazing food last night for Valentine’s Day! Didn’t take any pictures there was just no time to do so we were too busy eating! Jess our server was absolutely amazing kept the drinks flowing, always smiling she really made our night! Food was spectacular the Green Thai Curry was especially gorgeous, my partner had Beef Black Pepper Stir Fry which was demolished. Will absolutely be visiting again!

Me and my wife came in for valentines. We couldn't fault the food but the service was non existence. We did not have anyone arrive to take our orders and had to usher every time we needed something. We were not given the full cutlery and no plates with our main meal order to eat from. We had an incorrect item come out and had to want 14 minutes for it to arrive as we ordered by time our meal was getting cold. There was no table service although we had to pay a service charge. This let the whole experience down . Also I could not eat the chicken or duck as it was halal. If halal is catered for then there should be non halal too as its again st my beliefs.

It’s really annoying when a menu describes a dish but what you are given has a key ingredient missing or substituted and the restaurant neglects to inform you. In this case, a Thai Green Curry with Thai Basil listed as an ingredient but normal basil just placed on top instead. To make matters worse, when I pointed this out, the waiter told me it was used as a garnish and that they aren’t able to source Thai basil. I’m sorry, but no reputable Thai restaurant should be without such an authentic ingredient which makes a massive difference to the flavour of the dish. The food was lovely otherwise but this was very disappointing

Went here for a friend's birthday. The food was quite good but the price was noticeably higher than other Thai restaurants with similar quality. The tom yum soup was particularly good. Since it is a fancier restaurant, you are paying for the atmosphere. They cocktail we got was quite good.

Food was served well, looked good but same as your average Chinese takeaway. Service was excellent I have to say and it's a lovely place.

We had an amazing meal at Chaophraya. We didn't need to pre-book, which was lovely, and chose from the set menu. The amount of different flavours and dishes really took us away! The service was fantastic and the cocktails are fabulous. There's really something for anyone, and definitely a restaurant we're excited to visited again to try even more dishes in the future.

The pictures speaks for themselves. We were very surprised and really appreciated the authentic natural ingredients that go in the cooking. The tamarind duck is a must try. Big thumbs up.

Fantastic food, great service, lovely venue. Not a cheap option as the main courses are around £20 and rice or noodles are extra. However, the food is top notch. My old favourite, Massaman curry, was as sublime as ever.

9 of us had a bottomless brunch here on Saturday. Tye food was really tasty and good size portions and the drinks where flowing. I would recommend giving it a try.

Really nice Asian restaurant with good service set in a nice surrounding. Upstairs is nicer than downstairs but don't let that put you off eating there as the food is fantastic wherever you eat.

Ordered the chicken pad Thai and the prawn pad Thai left most of the chicken and told the waiter it tasted3days old,nothing done……. Very disappointing

Food is always really tasty here! Fancy Thai food done well! Great for date night and for bigger groups! Plenty of options for vegans as well🤩 Service can be lacking sometimes as when it’s busy it’s hard to get the staff’s attention.

We had a lovely lunchtime meal here recently and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent.

Came here as had some vouchers given and thought we’d extend our anniversary! We chose the set menu @ £45pp. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious. I have attached the menu we had. The restaurant was nicely decorated, spacious and clean. The staff ‘Jo’ I think his name was, was friendly and attentive. Would happily eat here again.

I went to Chaophraya with my family for an evening meal. The food was great and our server Christiano was very attentive. Our food came out very quickly and was very good. The drinks were good but very pricey (£10+ for a glass of wine) and took ages to arrive.

Had to wait for 2 hours for our starters and mains to be served which were preordered . The waiters got our orders wrong as well. Not impressed with the service overall tonight.

Let down at last minute by Ivy Asia. Called Chaophraya who found space for us, were so kind to the birthday girl (card and cake), food was sublime, service was incredible - wish I had the name of front of house lady in Leeds, she was excellent. Next time, we'll book Chaophraya in Leeds first!

After nearly 17 years, I revisited Chaophraya, and it was just as incredible as I remembered. The flavours were so good that I didn’t want the meal to end. The staff were all very friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I used to sit upstairs during my visits years ago, and I don’t recall a seating area downstairs, but that’s not to say there wasn’t one. The only thing I’d have liked is a bit more food for the money, but other than that, everything was perfect.

Had the 4 tapas for £20 lunch menu (x2) all of the dishes were very nice and great value! Service was great.

Food was good but not exceptional. Sticky nice had a dried out on top, and a few of our orders went astray, but staff sorted out

Ok so I’ve visited the one in Edinburgh which was a fabulous experience overall. This one, was lovely but location was a little let down. The food was still delicious.

Service was great and we had a nice meal but it is over priced for what you get, had much better and a lot cheaper Thai food at many other places around Leeds, £15 for a glass of wine is far too much.

It just looks nice. Environment is 9 out of ten. Food is not good enough and does not deserve its price. Only the starters are good. The service is just so so and seems don’t understand what I say.

I booked here for my partner’s 25th birthday and it was amazing! Both the service and food were exceptional. They had a plaque on the table that said happy birthday, which was a lovely touch. We shared the vegetable tacos as a stater and they were phenomenal. Honestly, I’d recommend them to everyone. For mains, I got the sweet and sour vegan chicken with egg fried rice and my partner got the gaeng massaman curry with egg fried rice. Both our meals were fantastic and the food came out fast. At the end of the meal, they also brought out a small cheesecake with a candle for my partner’s birthday, which was really lovely.

The food is absolutely top drawer. I used to come many years ago and tended to go for a set menu, but ordered from the normal menu on my latest visit (chicken Thai tacos and green curry). Both were amazing, though I also shared a chicken satay too and that was extremely tasty. Staff were extremely attentive too. It wasn't the cheapest out there but you are paying for quality, so it's definitely worth it!

Visited on a bank holiday Sunday. Lack of atmosphere noticeable upon walking in. Poor to average service. Poor to average starters and mains were nice. Expensive for 2 people at £130, for sharer starter, 3 mains to share and 2 drinks. Paying £15 for a standard glass of white wine. Wouldn’t recommend or visit again

The sharing platter was out of this world but main course so salty I couldn't eat it. Service was excellent. Our staff member was highly attentive and our surroundings just lovely. It's just such a shame that we started off with excellent food and finished with inedible food. Too costly to risk trying again

Really great! Brilliant atmosphere! They had a limited menu though and everything on there was very spicy. Wouldn't recommend if your not good with spicy food but apart from that it is brilliant! Really professional and really fancy! Drinks were top notch!

Started poorly when I ordered a glass of picpoul for £14 to be given what I can only assume was a jack rabbit Pinot Grigio it was vile, but they took it back and knocked off the bill. Starters were great, mains were very lacklustre. We are big fans of spice and asked for dishes to be hot however everything was very mild, even pad krapow which is known to be hot. There was hardly any meat in any of the main dishes and don’t even get me started on the khao soi, it was absolutely nothing like a khao soi, the lady who served my the dish even called it another name which was very confusing and it was impossible to eat with a comically massive nest of fried rice noodles and chicken around the edge of the bowl. Basically if you’re a fan of Thai food go to one of Leeds’ many small canteen style restaurants to get the real deal for a fraction of the price.

We visited Chaophraya after seeing it had won the Yorkshire 'Best World Restaurant' awards 2023, so were eager to give it a try! We booked our table for 6:30 but were running late. We called the restaurant to let them know, which was no problem at all and our table remained reserved. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff that showed us to our table and gave us the food and drinks menu. There is so much choice on the food menu, something for everyone, there is even a vegetarian section which you don’t always see. To start, we decided to go for the vegetable spring rolls and the chicken spring rolls to share, these came with a sweet chilli sauce which and were so tasty, and we're packed with fillings! For the mains, we both had the sweet and sour papaya chicken. Again the mains were so tasty and were presented beautifully. At first I was a little hesitant about the papaya being in the sweet and sour chicken but actually it went really well! The chicken was also cooked to perfection, full of flavour and coated in a really crispy but light batter. The sticky rice was also perfect! Although we were offered the desserts menu, we were so full from the starter and mains that we decided not to have a dessert, although there are some really good options! Overall, we were really impressed with this experience and can appreciate why it is an award winning restaurant, we would definitely return again!

I attended at lunchtime, the restaurant was far from full and therefore the atmosphere was flat. It's a very agreeable room with nice Thai decor. The food was good but not in my view exceptional, I chose the set lunch menu, which was reasonably priced for such a nice city centre venue. I would definitely go again.

Was here Easter Monday lunch. Set menu was good value £16.95 2 courses. Paid £4 extra for the prawns. Service rushed, we were the only ones in, starter plate taken whilst I was putting my cutlery down. The bill came & seemed a bit higher than we thought. A GLASS OF RED WINE £18 day light robbery. It spoilt a lovely lunch. I guess it was Aprils Fools Day. Disappointing.

The decor is impressive and we had high expectations as we walked in (having been to Chaopraya in Edinburgh). Service was good to begin with but that slowly deteriorated. We ordered cocktails which were weak but tasted good. The portion sizes were much smaller than the Edinburgh branch but tasted just as good. It was quite cold in the restaurant and unfortunately the management couldn’t care less about it.

Stylish and friendly, great lofi soundtrack and sensational food with reasonable prices. If you’re local and haven’t experienced this gem you’ll wonder why once you’ve tasted it

Very poor food! Chicken Green Curry only had 4 pieces of thinly cut chicken around 50mm long 20mm wide, 5mm thick. This is just a guess , I'm an engineer, I don't think I'm far off the mark... Three of my party had Sea Bass non of my guests could finish eating the dish. The only reasonable dish was the steak... We enjoyed the starters far more. I/we have been dining here since it opened but haven't visited since before CO-VID. What a disappointment, I should have listened to friends who said the quality of food had gone down badly. Sorry Chaophraya but you failed to deliver the quality food you used to serve and we were expecting. Your food looked good! On the plus side, staff were excellent and accommodating - well done to them. I will have to cross you off my list!

Stuck in Leeds for a few days with work, and my birthday today, so thought I'd try here for dinner. Absolutely blown away by the service and atmosphere, as well as the food and drink. Very pleasant and will definitely be back, albeit to the Newcastle location. Many thanks to Will for the great hospitality :)

Probably, the best Papaya Salad I’ve had outside of Thailand. Superb service, even for a large group. Highly recommend

Great choice of food and a really modern atmosphere - we were served by Will and he was really engaging and helpful and was able to provide help with any queries we had on the menu. Would certainly like to come back again.

Food was really tasty, no complaints on that front. Drinks were terrible. The Negroni tasted nothing like a Negroni. But they did take it back and didn’t charge for it. Wine was below average, especially considering what was being charged (£70 for bottle). We sat upstairs, it was far too bright and had no ambiance. Recommendation: go for lunch, enjoy the really yummy food and drink a soft drink.

When we arrived there was a Deliveroo bike parked directly across the entrance, so we were unable to actually get in. We had to move to the bike to be able to get in through the door. We were told our table wasn't ready, which was fair enough as we were 5mins early for our reservation. The food was okay. The standard definitely seems to have fallen. The crackers at the start were stodgy and tasted as if they had been left over from the previous day. The main course was fine, although definitely not up to the standard we have had before. The water glasses were dirty. The music was loud and fairly unremitting - it couldn't be described as relaxing at all. The staff were attentive and were always quick to respond to any requests we had. Some kind of delivery person kept running through the restaurant in a tracksuit which while fair enough didn't add to a relaxed atmosphere! Overall, a disappointing experience.

Visted my daughter, who is studying at University of Leeds and we took her here for a treat. Lovely looking restaurant, but overall, left feeling underwhelmed. We arrived slightly early for our booking so ordered some cocktails from the bar. These were super sweet but bar staff friendly. Shown to our table, a lovely booth spot and ordered our food. Starters arrived promptly and the veggie tacos were particularly tasty, and portion of Thai crackers generous. But then it all went a little less smoothly. We waited almost 40minutes for our mains to arrive, and when finally able to get attention of staff were told it was "a busy evening". Not all tables were filled though. Daughters seafood udon noodles were tasty but she felt 'nothing to rave about' and my garlic and chilli aubergine was tasty but very oily. For pricing, we expected better. We both visited the ladies, and each time, only two of the 6 cubicles had any toilet paper, showing they were not regularly checked. Atmosphere was OK, though a little noisy.

Disappointing, food very slow to arrive and lukewarm when it did. Tasty but not as good as it used to be.

An excellent place, great ambiance and with Halal Chicken and Duck as well as very good selection of Veg options. Cherry on top excellent service. Alex was polite, friendly -and extremely knowledgeable making ordering and whole experience a pleasant one. If in doubt ask for Alex 😎
