Huge thank you to Olivia and her team for making my daughter’s 18th Birthday AMAZING!. The drinks were flowing the staff were fantastic so friendly just really couldn’t do enough for us. The dj, the atmosphere, the place was buzzing. The whole experience from start to finish was just fab. Would definitely go back one of the best brunches I’ve done.

We held a retirement party here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet was fab, got so much food for £10pp. It was lovely food and well worth the money. Would definatley hire this place again for a party. Thanks again.

We arrived at our bottomless brunch took a while to get seated. Once seated they took our food and drink order we did not receive for 45 minutes. When our food arrived they brought one of our food out incorrect and when telling them this they just took the food away instead of asking what he ordered. They finally asked 20 mins later once the rest of us had finished food and brought this out they had to eat by themselves, we spoke to a waitress who agreed to extend our time for another 45 mins. We then got asked to move for an event but once moved we was ignored and we revived n none of the drinks we ordered. We asked see if we can have our drinks they brought them but didn’t taste the best so we just left

This was the best brunch I’ve ever been to the I was wanted straight away our waitress Olivia was amazing took the orders quickly for food and drinks and was always there if I had a question about something. The music was 10/10 I honestly couldn’t recommend canal club and our server Olivia any more if I tried

An incredibly disappointing evening for my friends 21st. Table was booked for 8, we arrived a little early and told it would be ready for 8, we didn’t sit down until 8:15. Table didn’t even accommodate to the amount we had booked, which we paid a deposit for. Tables were sticky, still dirty and cutlery was missing. First drink came at 8:30. We had pre-ordered food as we were a large party yet food didn’t come until 9:30. Food was mediocre at best, very small portions considering it was £37.99 per person and my friends food was stone cold. We only had about 6 drinks the whole night as service was slow, though i understand it was busy. And prosecco also had ran out, which i think is appalling considering it’s a saturday bottomless brunch and it takes off half the drinks on the bottomless menu considering half of them were prosecco based. Manager was very rude when i brought up our concerns, and tried to argue with me about how many drinks we had, and then proceeded to complain to his member of staff about us, which we overheard, and is very unprofessional. The one waitress however who dealt with a lot of our drink orders and getting our final bill was lovely. I understand it was a busy saturday evening but don’t take on more tables than you can handle, which is what they did. Overall it was just a very flattening experience and i would not recommend.

Staff are lovely, but the whole place is incredibly disorganised. And the food options were small and I'll prepared. The pricing for the bottomless brunch is way over priced. Plus they tried to give us an hour and half, when we had booked two hours. Overall, it feels a little like they try and leach money out of drunk people.

Bottomless brunch - 4 drinks in 2 hours awful food, when gone to have a bottomless brunch do not expect to have people dancing and barging in to your table- not getting the correct drink someone got the wrong food but just took it as even though pre ordered waited over an hour for our food !!!! Avoid at All Costs – Worst Bottomless Brunch in Leeds! If I could give zero stars, I would. We came to The Canal Club for my 21st birthday, expecting a fun and enjoyable bottomless brunch, but it was hands down the worst experience I’ve had in Leeds. First off, the service was beyond slow – we only managed to get four drinks in two hours, which completely defeats the purpose of a bottomless brunch. When the staff realised we were still sober, they tried to overcharge us by more than 10%, clearly hoping we wouldn’t notice. Only after we questioned it did they reluctantly correct the price. The food? Absolutely awful. Tiny portions, stone-cold, and not worth anywhere near the £37.99 price tag. We had pre-ordered, yet we still had to remind the staff to bring it out, which is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the tables were sticky, and there weren’t enough seats for our group—we had to find our own chairs. Drinks were constantly mixed up, and my friends kept receiving the wrong orders. The manager was shockingly rude despite great communication prior to booking. Instead of addressing our concerns, he started arguing with his own staff about both them and us, only to walk off when he noticed us watching. We never saw him again for the rest of the night. Overall, this was a complete disaster. They overcharge, serve cold food, and have awful service. Do yourself a favour and go anywhere else for a bottomless brunch in Leeds. This place is an absolute rip-off.

DO NOT GO! Staff rude kept talking about us in there little huddle at the bar. The girl who was serving us kept swearing underneath her breath and dirty looking us. Our chicken was pink and cold which now my friend has food poisoning. Drinks terrible. Staff needs training on how to be polite and actually be able to make food and drinks!

Went for a bottomless brunch two weeks ago, had booked for 17:30 and told they needed the table back at 19:30, which is fine as two hours is plenty. The food was okay, but not amazing. They also ran out of strawberry daiquiris, which is annoying as the drink options aren’t plenty. Just before 19:00, the table next to us requested another drink so we did too. However, we were told we weren’t allowed anymore as they needed the table back. They brought our bill, and kindly knocked £4 each off due to losing half an hour of the booking. We paid the bill no problem, two of us were sat with our coats on ready to leave and one was finishing their drink. One of the bouncers then came over to the table to tell us we had to leave right now?? We hadn’t caused a fuss or spoken badly to any of the servers. He then followed us out of the bottomless brunch area into the main bar, but left each other table sat with no issues. So strange and slightly intimidating. Fair enough if we were causing trouble, but we’d paid the bill with only a small complaint about not being given the two hours booked. Maybe don’t book private events so close to bottomless brunch times.

Bottomless brunch was terrible. Food was appauling 2 pieces of over cooked chicken on masses of salad and a very small piece of bread underneath. Cocktails were awful and the lager if you can call it that was flat. Felt sorry for the waitress as she took the brunt end of extremely slow service.

Had a bottomless brunch for my birthday at the weekend. The drinks were SO good, the food too. What really stood out though was the service. The staff were so lovely, Ally especially was so sweet always making sure we had enough drinks. Absolutely got our money's worth in drinks alone.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the handling of our Christmas party booking at the Canal Club on Saturday 7th December 2024. I had reserved a sit-down meal for 38 colleagues, and what was intended to be a celebratory evening turned into a frustrating and deeply disappointing experience due to your team's gross mismanagement. Upon arrival at 6:45 PM, we were informed that our selected area had been double-booked and was occupied by another party. Initially, we were told there would be a 15-minute delay for our meal. However, as time wore on, it became increasingly evident that this was not the case. By 7:45 PM, I approached the Manager to inquire about the situation. His explanation—that the colleague who had handled our reservation had left the company the previous day—was not only irrelevant but also inadequate as an excuse for the evening’s failures. By this point, it was clear that the situation was beyond salvage, and I had no choice but to cancel the food order. This decision was not taken lightly, as it was evident that no preparations had been made to honour our booking. I have written to you twice as yet i have not even had an acknowledgement of my concern

We booked a company function at the Canal Club - they contacted us the day before our function to tell us they had overbooked and could we move our booking to an earlier time - despite the challenges of organising 35 people to rearrange timings etc, we did. We got to the venue and were shown to a small back room, a buffet was served that was cooked and some of the dishes were flat cold - Yorkshire puddings and stuffing, still frozen! After 90 minutes we were shepherded out of the room and back into the main bar, where we were then pushed from table to table until eventually 35 of us huddled around a 4 person table - then the bouncers (incredibly unfriendly from the off) came over and asked us to leave - despite us all having just bought drinks, we aren't a rowdy bunch we were pretty civilised so we questioned this and this just attracted more attention until the bouncers surrounded our team and we were all ushered out in a huddle - really poor really awkward and just not the best place for a function of Christmas Party - avoid.

Went for Xmas party, table was booked for 7.30 for around 40 people. Never even got seated and didn’t even get our food absolute **** show. If they can’t accommodate bookings of this size why take them. Avoid like the plague for large bookings

What a fabulous night at Canal Club! Went for brunch service was excellent and Liv and Chloe serving us could not have been more attentive and friendly. Special mention to joy for constantly clearing the table so it never felt scruffy and she’s also stunning 😍 topped off with good food, good music and a cracking manager that cared to check in can’t recommend it enough. ONE pointer - little more light while we were eating wouldn’t have hurt but I’m old and particular 😂

Amazing experience! We hosted a private event at Canal Club. The food was spectacular and the drinks were too. Very affordable venue which included a high quality service. 10/10 would recommend! Went for a brunch, drinks were good, service was fast but not attentive, atmosphere was good (good djs), food was terrible, ive ended up with food poisoning, things were not fully heated, tasted bad, over oily used sauce in excess instead of seasoning etc. i would recommend for drinks but definitely not for food.

For the first time in my life I had to compromise on all the standards I believe to be mandatory in business transactions just to work with this people and all I can say I’ve never seen such a vile combination of individuals run a company

Went for bottomless brunch, the food was absolutely shocking. Tiny kids portion. You’re basically paying for drinks rather than any food as there’s nothing there! Had to pay for fries separately as you only got 3 tiny mini burgers that’s it. Drinks service started off good but as it got busier I had to keep asking where are the drinks as we were waiting 20+ minutes every time. Music from the speakers were good, vibe wasn’t really there..

Went for bottomless brunch, all drinks watered down massively, they use sparkling water as a substitute for Prosecco, the lager was very weak, I had to buy a double jack Daniel’s and coke just to feel some actual alcohol in my throat and it cost £10.40!!!!!!! £5 for 25ml of JD The music was off and on at times, hardly anyone in. The food was ok to be fair. Closing statement. The worst bottomless brunch I’ve ever been to. Any of these reviews that are saying the drinks were good are fake reviews. Was in there 2 hours had about 7 drinks, left sober.

We did a bottomless brunch on a Saturday at 1 and it was the perfect time to go - very quiet so it meant the staff could be attentive to our table. Food was delicious and the range of cocktails available was great. I would absolutely go again! I've also been before on a Saturday night when they had a DJ and Saxophonist on and it was a great vibe!

The perfect stop off to celebrate a 50th birthday great music, atmosphere, and plenty of dancing.

Found this place whilst walking along the waterfront so popped in for cocktails, they was delicious and will definitely go back next time in Leeds

Didn't get food, just had drinks at a private function then joined the main venue afterwards. It's a lovely place, the staff are all fantastic and welcoming & they have a decent range of alcohol too. Would recommend! Check it out if you're near by:)

Wouldn't return - not enough staff so the brunch ended up being 2 drinks after an hour and got cold food - complained and ended up leaving paying half of it mainly because we felt sorry for the few staff that were working - avoid at all costs

It is a shame I am having to result to a review like this. I had my hen party here on Saturday 4th May 2024 and still awaiting my deposit back after months and months of emails. The manager confirmed I would be getting it back and that she had sent it to the accounts department. They are now ignoring my emails. Would not recommend hiring their private space at all now due to their incredibly poor customer service and robbing their customers.
