We've been coming here for a long time now. Food is consistently good and staff are polite. I think there's just one youngster who could brush up on her customer service skills.

We booked a table for lunch last week. Glad that we did as it was bustling! Warm welcome, friendly and attentive staff along with a cozy atmosphere. I had the pate with crusty bread and chutney and husband had a hot turkey sandwich with lots of gravy. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent as well! A lovely lunchtime!

Met my friend here for lunch, nice coffee, ordered a sandwich each with fries and a cake. The bread was lovely but very disappointed with the "roast beef" it was more like thin supermarket processed beef. Will be going back to my local farm shop for their roast beef sandwiches. Cake ok but dry.

4.90 for a pint of Carling? You saw me take a fiver out my wallet and decided to see how much you could get out me didn't ya, ya skeleton warrior. Seems nice inside, cozy decor and big TVs with sports on. Toilets were clean, even had paper in this economy! A luxury I paid for with my pint apparently.

I looked on the website several times trying to see menu each time it says coming soon !!!! We went got lunch waited where sien says to be seated many staff walked past never acknowledged us till we asked do we just find a table were then taken to one. Two of us had fish and chips not good not hot apart from mushy peas I had bread and butter obviously been out a while as very dry!!! A lady came in large wheelchair if our son had not helped here move table she would have been left sitting in the chair unable to reach hurt table staff just ignored her On paying I asked about duck eggs as shown on web site told no never have any!!! Thought I would get a couple of cakes to take home FIVE staff talking while I stood to be served all ignored me so didn’t bother to get!!! Must be a manager looking for how to improve service think you need a new one and maybe some caring staff also

its happened 3 times now natalie was very rude. kept saying she had no meat free food left, when i went to shop they had loads of meat free option.if you cant give good customer service to your customers and cant be polite please dont answer the phone 😡

We popped in for a cuppa and fancied dessert to go with it. The Forge always has a great selection of bakes and puds, often with some new or slightly different flavour combinations. This time we were in need of something particularly 'denture friendly' for one of our number who was in some discomfort. After asking whether certain brownies would be soft, the team pulled a slice of the delicious looking jaffa brownie out and chopped it into sample sizes to try with us, then after I explained the reason for my question, they suggested having it served warm. What a delicious treat, and super-soft warmed too. It made our day.

We had a fantastic late lunch at Mario’s. A delicious vegetarian burger and a very tasty ham and cheese panini. Staff were lovely, welcoming and friendly. Everything perfect and e value for money, we will be back very soon! Thank you!

Always really super welcoming. Great choice of lovely food and always have alternative milk products. Great cosy atmosphere. Very retro. Love it
