I looked on the website several times trying to see menu each time it says coming soon !!!! We went got lunch waited where sien says to be seated many staff walked past never acknowledged us till we asked do we just find a table were then taken to one. Two of us had fish and chips not good not hot apart from mushy peas I had bread and butter obviously been out a while as very dry!!! A lady came in large wheelchair if our son had not helped here move table she would have been left sitting in the chair unable to reach hurt table staff just ignored her On paying I asked about duck eggs as shown on web site told no never have any!!! Thought I would get a couple of cakes to take home FIVE staff talking while I stood to be served all ignored me so didn’t bother to get!!! Must be a manager looking for how to improve service think you need a new one and maybe some caring staff also

I usually enjoy my breakfast here However yesterday (Sunday 21 July) I was so disappointed The worst breakfast I’ve had in a long time I ordered poached eggs on toast and a slice of crispy bacon The table was booked at 10am so one of the first diners of the day The bread came cut up and cold The eggs had been pre-cooked in what looked like cling film and re heated They were rubbery, not runny and cold Won’t be having that again Can’t believe at a game that are one of the main egg farms in the area that they can’t cook eggs or freshly poached ones

Hugely disappointing when not able to get simple food right - eggs royale was cold, eggs left to stand for ages, mushrooms on full breakfast insipid, toast brought out cold like it had been done so far in advance. Could be great but need to focus on ensuring food that comes out is hot, which shouldn’t be difficult to do

Three adults visited today. We arrived before our reservation time, as the weather wasn’t very good we asked if we could be seated early. We each had a main (brisket sandwich, fish & chips, beef stew and dumplings) and they were excellent. The large portion of stew is huge! We also had desserts from the cabinet (mini egg cheesecake, Mille-feuille and raspberry and lemon meringue pie), which were also amazing. These meals, along with three soft drinks, a tea and a latte came to exactly £69. Great value.

This is an excellent café which serves very good food. The portion sizes are 'large' and the service is first class, typical Yorkshire hospitality. You do need to book as it gets very busy, always a good sign. There is a great selection of food all day so you are bound to find something that suits, especially good or breakfast, but try the Beef Brisket sandwich - superb.

Had such a lovely meal here for lunch with my friend - it’s had a refurb since the last time I visited and it has been improved so much! The car park was rammed when we arrived and we got the last space, so I’m really glad we booked. Really tasty food - I had the Yorkshire Rarebit and my friend the bubble and squeak, and they were both fabulous with generous portions. Id definitely go back as I want to try the bubble and squeak too as that looked lovely!

Food was very good but I am concerned that the majority of eggs may come from battery hens . I have contacted the coffee lounge to see if this is the case, but have received no reply. Most of the eggs for sale in the shop do not say they are free range. Therefore Iwill not be visiting again.

I visited here for brunch on Monday the 2nd of October and was digusted and saddened at how the animals are kept. These animals are living in small crammed conditions and exhibiting bad welfare. One of the ostriches housed was repeatedly biting the caged fence, there were 12 goats crammed into a small scratty enclosure, no fresh hay or water. Breeds of llamas and goats were mixed, not to mention one goat in a pen by itself showing clear deteriorating health. One of the horses had yellow puss coming from its eye. I was seriously disturbed after coming here! whoever is in charge of those animals, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Visited here on Saturday for brunch with my friends. It was busy but the staff were still speedy and pleasant. My food and drink (eggs Benedict and a cappuccino) were delicious and all my dining companions said the same about their choices. When the bill came it wasn't hideous; no-one wants to be shocked at breakfast! The cafe is cheerily beach themed and has a cute shop selling farm produce and sweet bits and bats. All in all I loved it here, I recommend it (make sure you book, but that's easy to do online) and I will visit again.

Portions and pricing is absolutely spot on in my opinion, especially when you compare this quality to the likes of many city centre restaurants. Brought a very high standards Grandma with me and she absolutely loved the service and the food! The server was so happy and had such a good vibe going. I will say the food and service never disappoints (and you can tell how its always packed!). Definitely recommend booking online in advance just so you're guaranteed a spot. The beef brisket burger is beautiful and the fish and chips were a win in Grandmas books!

Absolutely lovely brunch. Impressed with everything. Very smart staff. A couple of points to be considered - when I booked I said it was for my 60th birthday. No one mentioned this. Just a 'Happy Birthday' by at least one of the team would be good. Perhaps at the next team meeting this could be discussed? Food was excellent. Are plastic pots of jam and bits of butter best? Small crockery pots would be so much better.

After popping in for lunch with my in-laws a month or two ago, they declared it the nicest food they had eaten for a while and swiftly booked to have lunch there for my father-in-law's 80th birthday. They were really accommodating about our request to put us in a quieter corner and looking after the birthday cake and balloons we brought the morning of our booking. From start to finish when we arrived for the meal itself, we were looked after by friendly, cheerful and funny staff, with nothing too much trouble - including taking photos to help us capture the occasion. Our cake was lit and walked in by a team of servers without us having to do any prompting. It was great to be so well looked after and provided with great food - the ploughman's were big enough to be sharing plates, the sticky toffee pudding was too good to be shared! Yes it's busy, so there is a bit of noise and a slight delay to food but it's a pleasure to be there and we'll all be back.

Bennetts is great & visited before.staff & food fabulous but dont go with a dog.although they have lovely outside patio youre not allowed to sit there with a dog & are asked to sit on picnic tables on grassy area at the side of a small animal area. This is worst place to sit with a dog as they are stressed with proximity of goats, hens etc. We had to sit with our dog on our knees which made it very awkward to eat lunch. In this day and age when more establishments are becoming dog friendly it seems very out of date.

Having not been able to locate any clear dog policy on the website, we rang ahead to ask if we could book a table for breakfast. We advised there was 2 people and a dog. The lady said it was fine but that we would have to sit outside (no problem for us). As the weather didn’t look like it was going to hold out we asked if there was anything outside undercover just in case. The lady said yes there was some tables with canopies. On arrival we advised we had a table booked outside to which the lady said it’s on the grass bench outside and that we had to walk outside to it as we weren’t allowed to walk through the restaurant. Again odd but ok with that. Having located a bench seat (with rain water on it I add) we sat down and noticed several tables free on the terrace (under cover/umbrellas) out of the way of other people (understand not everyone loves dogs). As the heavens we’re about to open we asked please can we move to one of those tables to avoid getting drenched. The answer was no. This was because we were not allowed to walk through the restaurant with our small well behaved dog to get to the outside door. Ludicrous. Our only other ‘option’ was the ‘dog dining area’. Something I can only describe as a cubby hole in the car park which I assume was either meant to be the bin store or the smoking area. Not a pleasant area to eat your lunch just because you choose to bring your dog out with you. Having declined this offer and with the only option to sit at our original table getting drenched, we politely declined and decided to go to the red brick mill where they welcome dogs with open arms. Not normally one to complain about such matters as I understand not all establishments are ‘dog friendly’ however with no clear policy visible on the website, the fact the lady said we COULD sit under cover on the terrace when we rang up I felt like as a dog owner I was treated as leper for wanting to bring our dog to eat with us. I can’t comment on the food quality as we didn’t get chance, however this review serves as a warning to other dogs owners unless the day is sunny and dry do not go here.

Visited Monday lunchtime with my sister-in-law who had been before and it was very busy. She had told me how good it was and she wasn't wrong! They are popular for their breakfasts which sound wonderful. The cafe is not very big but is pleasant, light and airy and is furnished well and the staff are friendly and attentive. We ordered coffees whilst we studied the menu and they arrived quickly. The menu is not extensive but there was enough choice for us. I went for the pate which came with chunky, salted bread which was delicious, a chutney and small side salad. The pate was plentiful and also delicious. My sister-in-law ordered the omelette that came with a bowl in order for her to help herself to the salad bar. The omelette was too big for her to finish but very tasty and she liked the salad bar although she felt there were too many mixed salads and also too many with mayonnaise which isn't conducive with a diet. She would have preferred to have chosen individual items that she liked. We had another coffee and felt that the bill which came to just over £20 was reasonable. Will definitely return and highly recommend!

This is probably the nearest cafe to where we live but we do not go as often as we like as it is so popular. Went today as Villa Farm at Bradley was full and caught just as it opened so getting in was not the problem that it usually is. It was, and still is, an egg producer and so not a big surprise that there eggs are so fresh and well prepared. Between the three of us two went for poached eggs on toast (absolutely excellent) and one went for the full breakfast. Slight negative of tinned rather than fresh tomatoes but otherwise delicious. So my only drawback that it difficult to get in, not a bad complaint! Absolutely recommend a stroll around the gardens looking at the animals (Rheas, bunnies, llamas, goats, pigs, birds etc)

This is a lovely cafe with a good lunchtime selection. The breakfast menu also looked great. They do jacket potatoes, salads with a salad bar, sandwiches etc. We were lucky to get a table. We arrived just at the change over time between breakfast and lunch (11.45) and were offered the choice of either. We opted for lunch and weren't disappointed. The jacket potatoes were light and fluffy and served with a good sized portion of fillings. There is also an outdoor seating area and a little petting area with birds and goats and grass for children to play on. You can buy eggs from the little shop there too. We will definitely be back to sample the breakfast menu!

Recommended by a friend of the wife's. Thought we'd give it a try for coffee and cake with the daughters. Good coffee, tasty, sizeable pieces of cake, will have to try a meal sometime, but would recommend based on this experience.

I was here with my uni friends the other day and I can't believe I haven't been before! It's so close to my house and it's ideal for breakfast or lunch. In the snow, the location was really beautiful. Food wise I had scrambled eggs and salmon and a black coffee. It amounted to less than £10 which is just ideal for Sunday brunch. I'll be back soon!

We have visited this establishment several times. It’s a lovely place to eat. Their menu is quite extensive, catering for a genera of taste. Four of us go, a meeting of retired workers. There is a small petting area for children and adults. The food is very good, using their free range eggs for the omelettes. It gets very busy so, it’s advisable to book a table. The salad bar means you can fill your dish as often as you like. There is a little wait for your food, as it is freshly prepared. The waitresses and waiter are always pleasant, no mean thing when you are busy. Well worth a visit, we will be back. Xx

Called in yesterday late afternoon with a friend . We sat down just after 4 pm and the waitress came to take our order . My friend ordered the pork pie and peas and I asked for a Jacket potato with tuna . The waitress shouted into the kitchen to ask if there were any potatoes left but there wasn’t any . I was looking for something healthy so ended up opting for he homemade tomato and basil soup . The cook them came out of the kitchen came over and leant on our table looking all hot and sweaty saying “ you do know we finish serving food at 4 pm ?? It’s ten past ... to the waitress . We got in just before 4 but it took ages due to not having food we wanted left . The waitress told her we were only having pie and peas and soup to which the chef replied with “ oh right ok I can do that I just heard you mentioning omelettes that’s why I came out ! “ off she went into the kitchen .

The Garden Coffee Lounge was recommended to me by Medissa Shoes, also based in Liversedge. It is a lovely, clean place to eat with delicious food, all at reasonable prices. Service was quick and efficient from the start of the meal to the end. Lovely setting. No wonder it was really busy. Would thoroughly recommend eating here . A hidden gem!

Four of us went on the 18/ May for lunch. I would advise anyone going to eat here to book a table, as it gets very busy. We all had a different first course. I had a cheese, mushroom omelette, one had a workers omelette which had loads of stuff on, smoked salmon with poached eggs, cheese omelette. The salad bar was excellent and you could revisit as many times as you liked. All the hot food was excellent, well presented and served with lovely smiles from the girls. I opted for a chocolate ice cream cornet, one of the party had coffee cake(huge slice), another had an Eccles cake. The food is of a high standard, cooked fresh when ordered. Service is most definitely done with a smile. It's an excellent cafe. Now the car parking has extended it is much better. There's loads for kiddies to see. Goats are so funny. The mint milkshake was wonderful and very moorish. I would definitely recommend this cafe but, don't forget to book to avoid disappointment as it gets very busy around lunchtime. We will be back!!

It was a lot busier than I thought it would be on a Wednesday lunch time, so if you want to go, please ring ahead and book your table to avoid disappointment. The sandwiches all looked lovely, but as I have coeliacs I ordered the jacket potato. It was small (about the size of my fist, and I have small hands!) and was microwaved and only luke warm. The kids meals are also very small, we ordered sausage and "potato shape" which was exactly that - one sausage (which was burnt at the ends) and one potato waffle. The kids fish fingers was as stingy with 2 small, charred fish fingers. The staff were pleasant enough, but made out that they were very busy and we couldn't catch anyone to let them know how disappointed we were with the food. The farm attached was nice and you are able to stroll around with kids, looking at the animals.

This is located at Bennetts Egg's, Clough Lane. This is a good cafe with nice food, it has a nice, good quality feel. The food is good quality with a decent selection. There's a small kids menu of the standard choices (fish fingers, chicken nuggets, sandwiches...)There is some lovely ice cream (from Charlottes ice cream)Prosecco, wine and beer are available too!Outdoors there is a small animal area, I wouldn't call it a petting zoo as the animals are mostly out of reach but it is entertaining for little children. It may not hold the attention of older children (4+) for long.It definitely feels like a place for 'ladies who lunch' and 'the maternity brigade'Overall - I would probably go here for the cafe lunch with young children but if you want to entertain the children for a few hours with animals then I would recommend 'Ponderosa' (10 minutes away)

We have visited here a few times, returning to try the different options. The restaurant isn't really a cafe, more of a mini-restaurant. It is situated on a farm, though this shouldn't put you off. There can sometimes be a queue so if it's a busy time, such as a bank holiday, it may be wise to book. There is additional seating outside but this would only be used in the summer I would imagine. There is ample parking outside. The restaurant itself is exceptionally clean and well presented. The staff, whilst maybe on the younger side, are very pleasant and helpful. The food is of good quality, some of it being sourced locally on the farm and lots of it being sourced in the local area. Food costs are a little high, but probably on par with the service. The general atmosphere is relaxed and the overall experience is very pleasant. There is also a small collection of animals in situ just outside the restaurant which creates an interesting diversion on meal end for the children.Meal cost for a family of 5 covering 2 adults and three children is around £35 and the time taken is about 1 hour.

Visited this coffee lounge on Monday with my grandchildren and elderly mother. The menu offered a very good choice and after our lunch we finished off with ice creams for the children and butterscotch cake for the adults. The cake was delicious. The coffee lounge was buzzing with people and there was a queue for tables. The staff were polite and kept very busy and it is obviously an extremely popular place so I would recommend getting in early. Outside there are animals such as goats, hens, peacocks etc and this kept the children amused for some time. We will definitely be returning again.

This was our 4th outing to this superb restaurant for Sunday lunch. Our friends were as impressed as we were once again. The food was outstanding, the service exemplary and we could not have been treated any more like VIP’s by Francis and his team. The entire experience was indeed just wonderful and we will be back again very soon. Thank you everyone. You’re true professionals.

Booked a table for 4 for 7:30, we arrived on time, were shown to our table swiftly and had good attention from the wait person. However, on booking the website said the table needed to be vacated by 9 [which is actually when they say they close mid-week]. It was 8:30 by the time our food arrived, which if we had had to leave at 9 was a joke. Maybe this was to give you time to buy the expensive drinks. I thought the soft drinks were highly priced. I had to ask twice for mayonnaise with the chips. As another reviewer has noted, it probably is a venue for the younger generation, we were next to a table who were so loud it was difficult to hear each other speak. The burgers were not as filling as I had expected for hand made [I had the Ho Chi Munch [which I thought for a veggie option was overpriced as beetroot is not as expensive as beef] , others had the Boss, the Old Skool & the LTO. I doubt if we'll go again.
