Nice food just something needs to be done about parking it is extremely limited considering how busy it is. They need to open a drive thru branch at the old Harvey’s drive thru in Waterloo

1st time coming here. The boss paid for our dinner. Well if I get a takeaway it pizza. Kfc etc. But I've heard people say this is better than KFC. ?? Could this little shop put out better food.. YES.. The coating was better and when biting into the chicken breast pure white and meaty. Yum. KFC seems more grey ?? So the food was 10/10 Only slight negative is prices are pretty expensive but the food was dam good. So if I go there myself it would be a treat not a regular thing. And the tiny carpark was packed out and it's double yellow lines on a very busy main rd. So food 10/10 Price 8/10 Parking 5/10 I would recommend this place though 👍

Great staff, great service and the chicken is the best I have ever had, took a 20 mile detour on my way home to Leeds after walking my hound in the peak district to go to Marstons, thats how good their chicken is.

Chips were much better, chicken was benging and the chilli sauce is amazing oy let down were the wings which were dry

Unfortunately the chicken was too greasy for us, chips ok. Gravy had a unusual taste. Staff very friendly, parking for about 10 cars. Forgot to give us drinks we ordered so had to return.

Been going for years and it was so disappointing on Friday. The chicken was dry and it's never like that. I had specifics for my wrap, no tomato and cajuan sauce and I received mayonnaise with tomato even though the receipt said the order correctly. The breast of the chicken is what disappointed me the most, the chicken was so dry to the point where I had to smother it in gravy just to make it moist enough for me to swallow. Such a shame really because this was a regular for me and I travelled 35 minutes because I have recently moved. Won't be making the journey again. I ate the food in the car at castle hil, so the food was still hot.

Excellent fried chicken. Wings were exceptional. Chicken fillets were massive and succulent. Chicken fillet sandwich with coleslaw and salad was great value and very tasty. Service was very quick even though the shop was busy. I can't wait to go again

Just a chicken, nothing special about it. I make better one at home, after marinated for 24h. Wanted to check what's that WOW everyone is saying, but it's just chicken with bland flavour. No parking, pavement is constantly blocked, pedestrian can't pass safely, I won't even mention prams or wheelchair, your customers bad parking practice is making unnecessary traffic on the main busy road. It will be reported to the police for obstructions.

Having ordered breast on the bone with chips three times and a large box of wings when I got home and opened the cartons I was extremely disappointed . The portion size was an absolute joke. Breast on the bone was more like a chicken thigh with a wing attached to it. Hardly any breast meat. The chips used to be good when they were chunky chips. Now they are fries. A positive is the chicken is still tasty but I’ve been going here for 10 years and I won’t be re-visiting as it’s not at all value for money The large wings was also very tasty Friendly staff and spotlessly clean It’s a shame that obviously they are more interested in their profits instead of good quality of food 😔😔😔😔

I always bought the large wings as i couldn't get enough of the flavour, however though the wings were still tasty, they have lost some of their flavour and the portion size seems less.

Wanted to see what the fuss was about and wow it was well worth the trip from Birstall! Chicken burger was huge,and tasted amazing. Wings and Gravy best I have ever had. Will only be coming here from now on.

The best chicken wings I've had in a long time. The chicken pieces are lovely aswell! Hot, fresh and just the right amount of batter. The fries are OK, nothing special. Knocked 1 star off as there was only 1 dip we liked, the rest weren't great.

Chicken wings are out of this world. Chicken breast really juicy. Well cooked very friendly staff. Expect to queue outside the door. Very busy. That's how good it is!

Called here because of recommendations from family and friends. Omg! It was amazing! The chicken breast is tender and moist and the chips with chicken gravy were cooked to perfection. No wonder they’ve been going for donkeys years! We’ll be back!

Came here for the first time after a few people telling me to try it. Overall food was very nice & fresh, young lad outside taking orders very polite, staff inside not so polite or friendly, sighed at me because i wanted to add something to my order which i get you're busy but rude attitude. Would come back but no rush as they is other places similar to this that i prefer which is obviously my personal preference.

It's been a while since our last visit. The place is updated with electronic ordering before you enter or order online as we had done whilst on the motorway. Inside its slick operation continues with servers doing just that. Loading the orders into bags to expectant customers. The chicken is as great as it ever was. The gravy from memory has changed and it's phenomenal.

Awful …ordered 3 x chicken pieces and chips each for my husband and myself £19 .90 ! So dried up and such small pieces Haven’t had this for about 5 yrs never again Use to be tasty and large pieces now won’t bother again rubbish !

Sadly gone massively down hill. Used to love going here, chicken was always fresh. Chips were chunky. Always had great lunchtime deals. Decent sized chicken portions. Been open for nearly 40 years and had been going for at least 30 of them. Sadly after going back the other week I’ve found it’s now style over substance and a poor deal - great branding - poor food and expensive. No lunchtime deal… 3 Leg & Chips etc. Chips (now pretty much fries) bright yellow and tasted more like crisps, chicken was really over cooked and too much coating, and portion sizes as small as KFC. The seasoning was so salty as well - only a hint of what it used to taste like. Really highly dissatisfied. Won’t be going back - which makes me really sad seeing as they’d managed such consistency over the previous 30+ years before they rebranded 😢

In the area, car park was busy but parked just on road. Young gent there in the car park, where there is a large menu board, he took order and payment when we were ready. Polite and efficient. Didn't have too long a wait to say it was busy. The food was delicious! Friendly, polite, efficient, top notch food and service!

Come some you people saying Marston's is overrated, I think I've been getting food here for about 35 years. There is absolutely nowhere better for fried chicken, I don't care what all you attention seeker's lying about the food. Real fried chicken people will instantly know the amazing taste and quality. There chips and Gravy (my favourite box of wings) are the best ever.

Not as good as it used to be I fact I would say it’s one of the worst now when it used to be the best. Paid for 2 Brest and chips got something I didn’t recognise and half a sparrow Brest which was very dry and the chips instead of being the chunky ones which made them famous are now just fries very disappointed back to henny penny’s or KFC

Have been coming to Marstons for many years and enjoyed every order. Unfortunately, we collected an order recently and it’s nothing like the old Marstons. Not sure if it’s been taken over but the quantity and quality has deteriorated. Where are the chunky chips ?!? Please bring them back. Wings weren’t too bad but no where near as old style. Hopefully it’s just teething problems and they can return to what they’re famous for.

Everyone's always raved about the place so thought I'd give it ago.. I got 2 piece of chicken (legs) and chips. I was asked if I wanted drum or thigh so i chose thigh assuming it was all same price, turns out it was more expensive but I wasn't told this and nowhere on the menu boards did it statw this. I got my food home, the pieces of chicken were a decent size but we're quite bland and the chips are the same as everywhere else.. standard frozen chips. It cost me £7.10 which I think was well over priced, it should of been a fiver at best. I also think there is very little options.
