Lovely clean place, polite welcoming staff, food is quickly prepared/fresh and delicious. I absolutely love the halloumi fries

The food is really good but my god the delivery is SLOW and hour and half for delivery on a Tuesday night is crazy.

Visited the Highway last night with my husband for a meal only...that was the plan, we ended up staying until closing time!! There was a soul band performing, played the most fantastic songs 👍👍👏👏. The food was incredible, the fish and chips was to die for 🤤. The landlady and her team are incredible, extremely friendly, approachable and professional 😊. We met some fantastic, friendly locals who made the night so much more wonderful. Would highly recommend a visit to this venue, not only for drinks, but a meal and a live band experience. Not to forget, but the venue is very dog friendly 💕

This is my first time ordering from here , and I will never go back there again , donnor meat was dry chips was rock hard and had about 4 slices off donnor meat absolutely disgusting

Went in July for a meet up with Friends. Only to find out from the small guy it doesn't open till 3pm. My husband said where's the sign, online it's 12pm. Anyway we all walked away. Xmas party happens to be here I'm worried due to what happened & thought the guy would remember us lucky no. Service great, pub atmosphere loud music or tv needs to be turned down. Ladies toilets needs a massive make over. Don't really want to go again as a few of us got parking fines despite putting in reg at the computer desk. Use to like this when it was run buy another family.

Fantastic local takeaway. These are brand new on the menu. Loaded cheese burger fries and Nutella calzone. Proper food, friendly family business and excellent value. If you're in the area check the new menu. 👍👍

So very disappointed ordering from here for the first time. We normally order from Hot Italian Pizza which is great quality and good value for money every time, but decided to try this place because it goes under the name ‘Vivace Bistro @ L’italiano Gourmet Pizza’ on Just Eat, and Vivace Bistro in Hessle square is delicious. Ordered a mixed bbq grill and it was shocking. 2 measly pieces of chicken, 2 scabby pieces of lamb and a dot of dried out pork is a joke for over £15. Food arrived almost cold and a normal garlic bread arrived instead of the garlic bread tomato/pesto that was ordered. Phoned up to complain but didn’t get anywhere. Won’t be ordering from here again. Do yourself a favour and order from Hot Italian Pizza instead. Infinitely better. (The photo was taken as soon as I opened it. I haven’t touched anything, that’s how it arrived)
