Rude staff, on the questions it states food ends at 9.30, no it sends at 8, we go in about 8.15 rudely told ends at 8 and we must be in the wrong pub. The smoking area is right in front of the main door so you have to fight through smoke and smokers to actually get in

After just moving to the area, an extensive research. )I like a pub crawl) its one of the best pubs in Hull that I have visited in the last 3 months. Staff are very friendly. Really good beer and amazing food. The live music is an absolute must for the weekend.

This Marston's pub is a true delight, offering a diverse menu including food, soft drinks, and an impressive array of alcoholic beverages. Another good sized local pub, has 2 separate bar areas and plenty of outdoor seating, also serving food.

My experience at the highway has been incredible Carla and Natalie have amazing customer service skills and are so welcoming and friendly and go above and beyond to keep all customer happy at all times will return!!!! Keep it up guys !

Miserable landlady has the absolutely wrong attitude for the hospitality industry not the first time either she does this regularly.

Very rude manager not sure if she is although. (blonde hair and glasses) Very confrontational and passive aggressive. Was told by a few regulars she’s always like this? Also very bossy and rude to staff who seemed to be doing a good job. Her ego is way above her head for a job in a pub!!!

Another great time at the Highway .. Wide choice menu all freshly cooked and served to out table. Two meals for £20 and even a free drink with one selected dish. We'll definitely be back soon!

Popped in after work to meet family for a quick catchup drink & stayed for food. Ordered a Cheeseburger & fries which arrived quickly and was very well presented. The burger was cooked to perfection and tasted yummy. The fries were the same. Not a single burnt or scrappy one ! The accompanying burger sauce was lush too. Staff were very helpful, polite and professional & I can thoroughly recommend Highway. Many thanks to all

Always clean and tidy. Friendly staff who are competent and happy. Not a “cheap” pub but always good value. The regulars are always friendly and not at al “clicky”. Pop a quid on the pool table and someone will always play you. Obviously run by someone who knows what they’re doing.

Staff very friendly and Service was good. Quality of food was quite average but for the price was good value. Was almost empty when we visited on a Tuesday lunchtime but they advertise live music and events so I imagine it's more lively at peak times. Would visit again.

I visit the highway each week in order to practise with the ukulele club. We use a room upstairs and the bar staff and landlady are always welcoming and things are always clean and tidy. The food looks fabulous and although I live quite far away, I would be prepared to drive to this venue because of the friendly atmosphere.

Always a warm welcome at the Highway, we enjoy the Sunday roasts, they are great value. Our dog also loves it here she is always welcome. Last night the live band was awesome the atmosphere was amazing made by extra special by the manager who kindly found us a chair and space to watch. Thank you so much.

I have visited this pub sporadically over the years. Not a favourite place, but I noticed from this latest visit that it has improved greatly. I didn't eat there so I can't comment on the meals, but i found it to be lively, friendly, and good value. Staff were also really pleasant. There was a well supported open mic night going on with a mix of young & older musicians. Perhaps the music was what it really needed??! It could have been a bit quieter for my elderly hearing, but nevertheless a great night.

The highway is a large comunity pub. There is a big lounge and separate bar with two pool tables. There is a wide choice of beers and lager, and two cask conditioned real ales. Good food menu and friendly staff. Live music, dog friendly and a nice beer garden. Large car park.

Went to a 21st Birthday party in a nice spacious room over the pub. It was a sunny day and families were enjoying the outside space and the food being served by the busy staff. It was easy to see that The Highway is the hub of the community.

The staff are both amazing, friendly and caring. My Father died on 26th June. I spent a couple of nights recently there, sitting outside alone. Zoey, who had finished work tonight, came to me, told me if I need to talk that she and the staff are there. How wonderful is that?! I must have told her the day before, yet, she remembered. That says so much about this community pub. A welcoming pub with wonderful staff. That young lady has a massive heart, please look after her Highway pub. Stuart x

Went here as a group of 10 people to have a meal and watch Venus. Out of the 10 meals five were very good and the other five were hunters chicken and they were okay but the chicken was a bit dry and tough to cut. Over all had a good night and the music was excellent.

Great valve for money £6.45 for Sunday lunch. I had the vegan nut roast which was delicious. Good portion sizes and excellent service will be returning.

The staff at this pub are so rude it's beyond a joke! Kitching staff walking round making bad remarks is not something you want to see or hear. No rush to serve you and the food looks average to poor.

Decent atmosphere, good adherence to social distancing measures enforced by the landlady. Drinks overall are not super cheap but they have some good deals on certain ones. Such as three for eight pounds etc.

Such a great experience chicken burger best ever beef curry was great and so was the veggie lazage staff was friendly overall a great experience

Fair sized pub with friendly staff and large selection of gins amongst the usual lagers and ale etc. The food is alright too just classic cheap and cheerful pub grub. There's a separate tap room at the back of the bar with a pool table and there is also a large seated area that can accommodate families and young children. Overall a good place for a few pints and a bit of food.

Great friendly bar staff never wait to be served. Very dog friendly, treats and water bowls available.
