Absolutely excellent service. What a lovely lady called Ebony and perfect service. Very happy will come again.

Staff were friendly, but professional. Place was welcoming with plenty of seats and choices of where to sit. Food was excellent!

My sister and I came in with my sons and were really impressed by the place. The staff were spot on and the food was delicious. I’ve paid £50 for a steak out before in other restaurants and not enjoyed it. The Rump steak and surf and turf were delicious. My sons enjoyed burger and chips and ate the lot. The puddings were tops too. Sundaes for the boys and crumble for us. Spot on. We’ll be back soon!

Friendly staff and quick service. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Clean tables and toilets. Had carvery which was overall good and tasty. Though not quite enough meat portioned for my liking and a bit more veg choice would be nice.

Had a fab lunch at red sails with friendly staff(especially Rich) great food and fast service Rich and the other where very attentive.

Ebony was fantastic,very helpful, food was amazing and service was top notch.

Experience was great, we was a large party of 12 and the staff made it look like a breeze. All drinks and food was spot on, the chef came over and let us know 5 minutes before food was arriving so those who ordered carvery could go get that and we could all eat together. We where also out to celebrate and as a congratulations the chef (Paddy) brought over a desert on the house for myself and my wife share which topped of what was already a brilliant evening. Staff - fantastic Food - outstanding Drinks - great Will definitely be visiting more often.

It was a lovely lunch, as always. Ebony was a joy and remembered me mentioning it was my mum’s birthday, which made my mum smile. We always come here when we have a little something to celebrate and will continue to do so.

Sammy was amazing as always, our daughter loves her as she always asks what toys she has brought and makes us all feel welcome!

Our amazing severe Sammy, made us feel welcome when we came the door and made our little girl feel special and ask all about the toys she had. People like sammy is the reason we like coming in here for food.

Carvery is always delicious and staff are friendly and happy to help. It's not our local but we don't mind travelling a little out of the way for nice food!

Don’t order a jacket potato unless you like them straight from the microwave with about 10 bean ontop Gammon looked like it had been boiled and then put on the grill for 2 minutes food was cold Worst experience we have had since we’ve been coming here

Wè go for lunch nearly every Saturday now to Red Sails, its a very friendly place whose staff can't do enough for you. Mam and Neil had carvery and I had fish and chips it was good. Also very clean, the toilets are always spotless and that says a lot about a place. Definitely gonna keep on going , never had any complaints 👌 Selsey served us today x lovely smile and very attentive x thanx Kelsey. See you next week x

Was greeted at the door and shown to table. Very friendly staff. The girl on till very smiley and helpful. Two of us had carvery and other a steak dish. Young man told us to wait at table until steak nearly ready then go for carvery so could all eat together. The chef called Alfie had good selection of meats, veg, potatoes, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings and beautiful thick gravy. It was all delicious! Credit goes out to him. Staff attentive but not over powering. Definately be going back! Thank you!

We visited on bank holiday monday as a table of 7 and bringing my nanna out who is 90 years old and enjoys the red sails. The staff was great, the manager looked after us really well on ordering and the food was great along with the desserts 🍨 We will plan another visit on my return from Northallerton.

We were recommended to go here but will not becoming again , I have a garlic allergy, my son asked at the bar about the steak pie if it had garlic in it the man was abrupt and said we should have looked on the Web site before we came , I don't think that was a polite way to answer , who looks up on a Web site before they go to eat .

Asked staff member about a ingredient then was told I should of checked the Web site before coming in and ordering won't bother coming back

Red Sails is a great pub with friendly, helpful staff. The carvery is good but I think they could do better with the other food on the menu.

Food was tasty, had a carvery but only got 2 slices of meat which considering they had 3 meats out and you could've asked for some of each, I thought was a bit unusual, I've always been given 3 slices wherever I've had a carvery before. Veg was nice but roasties were a bit anaemic. Gravy was banging though. Had a bit of an issue with my drink service but the manager apologised and was happy to put it right, as it should be. Great customer service in the end. Would go again.

Comida encantadora como siempre. Todos teníamos el carvery. La única desventaja era la mesa donde la salsa y las salsas se mantienen tenía varias moscas zumbando alrededor. La salsa estaba en una olla con tapa pero las salsas no. Más que un poco fuera de lugar y todos elegimos tener nuestra carne asada sin rábano picante.

Awful greasy carvery. Not to the usual high standard. Left most of it. Don't know why as never previously had a bad meal. Such a shame that the place looks like it needs an update. Toilets need a good clean and a revamp. Sadly won't be back.

Nice pub with a tasty carvery. The carvery had a good selection of meat and sides. Everything was well cooked and seasoned.

Have been visiting red sails weekly for the last 3 months having the carvery each time. Each meal up until tonight has been great quality and good value for money. Tonight our meal was lukewarm and seemed reheated, the roasties were stale and the meat reheated either by microwave or another means leaving it dry and tasteless. I really rate the carvery here but tonight was a great disappointment. I understand times are particularly difficult in the hospitality industry but serving substandard food doesn't help. I will go again next week hoping that tonight was an aberration.

Had a lovely time as always, the kebab and chips if you have yet to try it is well worth a go (I'd recommend garlic mayo with the beef/lamb). As for dessert, I usually would opt for the apple crumble, sherry cheesecake, or jam sponge. However, today I opted for the sundae, and it was lovely (Even if not as giant as the old ones). Service, was ok. Some staff sounded shattered already, and others like the lovely Scarleh (sorry Scarlett... You write like me 😛) where more vibrant. All in all, a very good experience. Atmosphere could do with light mood music or TVs for a bit of background sound away from the odd upset kid. As always, I look forward to coming in and seeing you all again... Oh, and I guess having some more food & drink too. 🤗🩷

Service was very quick and good good

Took my dad for a lunchtime carvery, Scarlett looked after us, very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely, all in all a very nice visit and can say we've never had a bad experience there, all the staff are pleasant and helpful.

First visit since the new menu was introduced, an amazing improvement on the prior food selection. Amazing service from scarlet, very knowledgeable, good humour and a sweet young woman in general, toilets however could do with a bit more attention when cleaning

Thursday again went shopping on Hessle Road only this time I was alone wifes got a poorly leg, go to Red Sails for your dinner Sammy will look after you, so I did and Sammy made sure I was alright, it's not just the food we go for but the staff as well, they make us pensioners welcome

We go in on a Thursday we always have a lovely greeting from Sammy . Good food grest atmosphere will carry on going.

I came back and had the carvery as promised, had some top banter with supervisor Sammy at the bar, another reason to return. I was easily persuaded to get a dessert by Ellie P so I got the cookie brownie. Had a nice day and nice food. I'll be back.

Excellent food and service , did not take long to be served. Vast selection on the roast dinner with hot food throughout the buffet. Would definitely recommend to a friend if you enjoy a homely meal with a great atmosphere. Served by Rosie who was polite and to the point , really appreciated the service.

Met up with a friend on 10th April and we both had a carvery. Absolutely delicious food which was served piping hot. The pub was warm and welcoming and the staff friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning.
