Had to go to Hull Royal early for an appointment, so after that went to find somewhere to eat.Passed a few places which didn't appeal until we saw Furleys. At first look menu didn't appeal to me, but then I looked closer.Great selection, from wraps to burgers,to kebabs to,chicken and stuffing ciabatta, with roasties and gravy! What's not to like.Veggie options as well, and coeliac and gluten free options as well! This was washed down with a bottle of Peroni. However if you like craft beer and cider then this is the place to go.The list of craft beers etc is incredible! It's very dog friendly, there's a room upstairs for you to take them, there's even a menu for the dogs, ie proper dog friendly meals ( not human food in disguise) Staff extremely friendly and very very helpful.Very popular place,if visiting at a weekend be advised to book as gets busy, because so popular.Highly recommend a visit

Well we have been to this bar before and eaten a few times. It was a beautiful sunny day so we got a table outside.. had nice bottle of red wine and looked at the menu for food. Hubby wanted a steak 🥩 I like chicken.. you got a choice of flavour for the chicken, and sauce. Both meals came out in good time, good size meals, with chips , veg. My hubby said the steak was very tasty, as was my chicken. Presented good in the plate, and polite serving staff. We would definitely eat her more often now.

Booked here whilst we where in Hull for a family catch up. Got to the resteraunt and was very busy and noisy but taken upstairs and it was.very quiet and a great setting for meal. We didn't realise we had to order the food at the bar as we were not told on arrival. Rob our sever quickly sorter this out for us and came upstairs to take our order, this was the beginning of a great service from Rob who was very attentive and catered to all our needs. The food was excellent, between us we had chicken hanging kebabs , lamb hanging kebabs ans a steak meal. All meals were excellent and a very good price. Even our little dog MOLLY enjoyed her freshly cooked chicken breast without hesitation. In conclusion great venue, great food and any problems we had were sorted quickly. Rob again needs a special mention as he was brilliant and gave fantastic service.

Furley's as it's called by us Hull folk. Very popular watering hole. It's the only time I like to walk through the front of Princess Quey and walk out the other end, cross the bridge & straight into Furley's. Quite a small bar area downstairs, but there is lots of seating upstairs. Place has a good vibe with a mixture of ages. Nice range of beers, some unusual real ales, cocktails too. Staff are welcoming & efficient, food is also very good, good portion size too. Also dog friendly. It's definitely worth a visit when you're in the area.

As a wheelchair user but can stand and walk a few paces with help this is an acceptable place for me ( a small step at door and a larger step to seating/table area) we had been many times when I was able-bodied so knew what the place was like. They have a good selection of beers, wines and spirits ranging in price. Food is good again price not to bad. On a plus side the disabled toilet is large and easy accessible. On a down side (depending on your point of view) this is a dog friendly pub and while we where eating a few dogs decided to have a loud barking computation with each other, not good while trying to chat to friends over a meal. But only a small gripe! Ps am not a dog hater but think outside in fields and parks is where they should be when people eating. Over all still a good place to grab a meal a drink and plan where next. Pss If you are able-bodied they have another room with bar and toilets upstairs.

Two glasses of wine. Server silent and maybe having a bad day. I understand that but £16 for two large glasses of Merlot could have been served with a basic “thanks” but then again silence is golden for some. Any other experience here has been fine. My Husband and myself visited Hull for the evening and were blessed with a beautiful Saturday evening of sunshine. We are not local so did our homework prior to visiting to find out which bars offered outside drinking areas. We had a few drinks on Princes Dock Street and then decided to go to Furley and Co as this was next on our list. At the entrance to the bar, we were greeted by a gentleman who asked if we were visiting to dine or for drinks only. There had been a very small rain shower for 20 mins previously and tables taken in but had been put back out again. We said drinks and asked to sit on the outside terrace. The gentleman suggested that they were bringing in the outside furniture as they only had a licence for outside drinking until 1800. He suggested that all bars locally were the same and that the only other bar that permitted outside drinking until 2300 was on the Marina. We thanked the gentleman and left. Walking away we saw that the bar next door, Bar 82 had tables and chairs set up outside and when asked the doorman regarding these rules, he said we could sit outside and there was no time limit. There are currently 15 people sat outside at Furley and Co at the outside tables. We feel very disappointed that we we lied to. May not seem a bit issue to some but why be insincere. Maybe our faces just didn't fit!

I was wanting to try somewhere new after a shopping trip. I happened to walk by Furley's and decided to give it a go. The staff were very nice and weren't imposing. There were quite a few people in and as a solo diner I often get forgotten about when this happens but they were very attentive. I ordered Furley's beef bourguignon that was on the specials board (was fun trying to pronounce that when I ordered). It didn't take too long and it was absolutely delicious. I am a huge food lover and it's not often I don't have to add condiments, this meal was one of those exceptions and I could take my time to enjoy it. It was reasonably priced for how lovely it was and the portion size was generous. I'd happily come back here for this meal alone and I'm looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

Without any social skills or knowledge of dog etiquette! I have been a loyal customer of Furley & Co for many years; I am usually served by a nice young lad who I believe is the manager. On 28.08.23 my dog and I visited and were stood outside assessing whether there were any free tables. A man was stood in the doorway and in a very hostile tone shouted “the dog café is upstairs!” I asked if dogs were still allowed downstairs and he said yes. Somewhat confused I still went in. I was served by a very nice young lad called Myles, I ordered the Hunters Beef Burger which arrived in a timely manner and hats off to the chef it was delicious! Myles came over after a few bites in and asked if it was okay. I said it was. Then a girl came over and asked the same question, again I said everything was fine. As I’m trying to savour my tasty burger a third member of staff came over and asked again! I was just trying to enjoy my food and I will admit I lost my patience and snapped that she was the third person to ask! I later apologised to her on the way out. I just wanted to enjoy my food in peace which I don’t think is a huge thing to ask. Shortly after this the woman sat at the table next to me started fussing my dog that I had just got settled and went to touch her. My dog is a tiny Chihuahua who is nervous around strangers and has bitten in self defence. On a few occasions I have been unfairly given grief about this when the person should have asked for permission to stroke my dog, you know like how children are taught to do at an early age. Because of this I pointed out that the woman was being incredibly rude and to please leave my dog alone and leave me in peace to eat my food. I was firm but fair, not hostile, aggressive and didn’t use any profanity. Today, 02.09.23 I went back for another tasty burger and the same man was stood in the doorway and in a very hostile tone shouted “you can’t come in you’re barred!” Very confused I asked why? I was then informed that the woman who had very rudely tried to touch my dog without asking consent was the owner and I was barred for “being rude”. I explained that it was her who was the rude one and the man just became more hostile and argumentative. All whilst childishly smiling at me with glee as he exercised his humongous power trip! So put simply the rude woman who owns the place will spit her dummy out if she doesn’t get her own way and ban anyone who tries to save her from losing a finger because she so desperately wants to fondle your dog against their will! I’m pretty sure the owner will comment on this review with some pathetic attempt to make me out to be the bad guy and distract from her childish power mad behaviour! I have worked in many bars and restaurants. I have seen people barred for violent, aggressive and intoxicated behaviour but never for pointing out that the owner is out of order and should behave respectfully towards the paying customers. Utterly childish vindictive behaviour from two grown adults, obviously the customer is always right means nothing to these people!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely appalling and pathetic attitude received today towards my mother and her terminally ill husband on their wedding day. No empathy or understanding from management, they should be ashamed of themselves and could use some customer service training. Will not be back.

Consistently provides quality food and drink at reasonable prices. Went today with the Freedom Festival being on - had drinks then later on had meals with drinks. Full marks for quality and service and a special mention for not increasing your prices to make a quick buck off the festival crowds.

Power mad, childish and vindictive owner! A woman without any social skills or knowledge of dog etiquette! I have been a loyal customer of Furley & Co for many years; I am usually served by a nice young lad with tattoos who I believe is the manager. On 28.08.23 my dog and I visited and were stood outside assessing whether there were any free tables. A grey haired large old bloke was stood in the doorway and in a very hostile tone shouted “the dog café is upstairs!” I asked if dogs were still allowed downstairs and he said yes. Somewhat confused I still went in. I was served by a very nice young lad called Myles, I ordered the Hunters Beef Burger which arrived in a timely manner and hats off to the chef it was delicious! Myles came over after a few bites in and asked if it was okay. I said it was, he also told me that the man on table 2 wanted to buy me a drink, I said no. On a few occasions I have been unfairly given grief about this when the person should have asked for permission to stroke my dog, you know like how children are taught to do so they don’t get their face ripped off! Because of this I pointed out that the woman was being incredibly rude and to please leave my dog alone and leave me in peace to eat my food. I was firm but fair, not hostile, aggressive and didn’t use any profanity. Today, 02.09.23 I went back for another tasty burger and the same grey haired large old bloke was stood in the doorway and in a very hostile tone shouted “you can’t come in you’re barred!” Very confused I asked why? I have seen people barred for violent, aggressive and intoxicated behaviour but never for pointing out that the owner is out of order and should behave respectfully towards the customers. Utterly childish vindictive behaviour from two grown adults, obviously the customer is always right means nothing to these people!

I cannot believe I have waited until now to try this restaurant. Chose the sirloin with pepper sauce, the steak was huge and cooked to perfection, the pepper sauce was the best I’ve ever had. Sides Of onion rings and French fries. The batter on the onion rings was light and crispy. From walking through the door to leaving, the service was first class, yet we was welcomed like family. Already looking at dates to book another visit. Definitely the best restaurant in hull.
