Cool place that serves good coffee and food. Lovely staff that suit the vibe.

Hip- but actually good!! A cool looking local place that ACTUALLY delivers. The food is good ( I didn't have to smash my sour dough with lump hammer🤣) The staff were friendly and attentive (not too busy having banter with each other🤦‍♂️) and just a really nice atmosphere of mixed local people and visitors. Reasonably priced also! 😊😊

I have passed the place a million times but had never visited. However, this time, I popped in. It was quite busy, but they gave us a reserved table and moved the other were poor guys. The service was quite rapid with drinks with a little wait on the food. But it was well worth the wait as the food was really good. I had the BLT, which was delicious. Well, I will be back, guys.

Brilliant Sunday Morning full English

Sólo estaba desayunando, me quedé en Hull para un concierto. Qué hallazgo, personal amable encantador, lugar retro con vistas al puerto deportivo. El servicio fue excelente, muy atento mientras esperábamos nuestro desayuno. El café, un chupito, café con leche fue el mejor café que he tomado en mucho tiempo. Fue un ambiente relajante, sin duda volveremos a visitar cuando estemos en el casco.

While the place has a good atmosphere, great music playing, and it’s a cool building (a friend said it reminded her of the type you’d find in New York), there were issues. I went at 10am on a cold day (2°C) and it was absolutely freezing inside the cafe. The girl at the counter said it was warmer upstairs but it wasn’t. It’s an old building with single-pane glass so it’s understandable to a point, but the cold makes staying any time in winter more uncomfortable. I had the breakfast sarnie and the food was only average, with the sausages being burned black underneath, and a rather dry fried egg. I was given a coffee with the most stained and ancient-looking spoon I’ve seen in a cafe, and the cutlery in the basket on the tablet was also not fully cleaned. The staff were really friendly and nice, and service was quick, but the cutlery cleanliness let the service down. The latte I had was really well made though, so it gets half a point back for that. My rating would be 6/10 overall. They need to improve on the cleanliness side and make the place warmer in winter.

What a gem of a place. We were there Saturday morning and it was humming but they found us a great spot by the window. Very friendly staff and cool vibe. The food was excellent, if I was nitpicking I would mention that it took a while to come out so if you are in a rush keep that in mind. We, however, were not in a rush so it didn’t affect our enjoyment at all. The veggie full English had loads of great twists on a classic and the steak and eggs was a huge hearty meal, both excellent value. Thanks Thieving Harry’s team!

Friendly, great coffee, lovely food. Views of the Marina. Retro, down to earth re- used furniture. Right up my street, not yours if you like generic cafe style.

I can not compliment this place enough! Fab food. I highly recommend the chorizo hash! I've had it several times and will keep coming back. A refreshing brunch place with a great food and drink selection. Great veggie/Vegan options too, they aren't an afterthought they are as good and sometimes better than the meat dishes.

Alojarse en Hull por una noche y quería desayunar en Hull y no en el hotel Caminamos hasta el puerto deportivo a unos 10 minutos a pie del hotel y encontramos Thieving Harry’s Abre a las 9. 00 am un domingo por la mañana llegamos alrededor de las 9 . 30 am y se estaba llenando para cuando salimos a las 10 . 15 am estaba muy ocupado Hay asientos abajo y arriba también fuera de los asientos, pero hace frío esta mañana en febrero El desayuno se sirve todo el día y era genial a un precio razonable con el personal muy amable Merece la pena una visita, pero esperamos que esté ocupado hasta altas horas de la mañana y en el verano La comida era genial, con buenas opciones ver foto del menú como parte de esta opinión Si alguna vez estamos en Hull de nuevo haría el esfuerzo de ir de nuevo a Thieving Harry’s

Nice place for a coffee and sandwich

My go-to place for breakfast or brunch when out on the bike. They even added a hashbrown sandwich to the menu for me!

When I last went 6months ago Simple’s this was nice but 3/1/25 bit of a treat not the staffs fault but it was like children’s nursery so noisy but when food arrived was £14 for a breakfast £2 extra for black pudding rip off only on the plate what was hot hash browns maybe as they are Fryed I won’t be going again covered market has a better cafe with to old ladys half the price

Superb place with a quirky interior and excellent location situated on the marina. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast offer was good and our choice of avocado toast and a breakfast sarnie was very tasty. Definitely recommend.

Went today, was told would be a 20 minute wait...5 ppl barged past us while we were waiting. Was told they had booked...then after 10 mins was told be another 20 mins...why let ppl reserve tables when they may not show when you have a que of ppl waiting? Went to McCoy's straight in and had a loverly breakfast. Thanks but won't bother again.

4th time - we visit with kids every time we come to Hull (been for breakfast, brunch & lunch). Lovely staff, very delicious veggie/ vegan options, fun decor, great view out onto boats and on interesting Humber St🚢 kids love it. Thanks again ☆☆☆☆☆

Not been here for a while and I don't think it's as good as I remember. Coffee was ok but the places just looks a little dated

Entró a tomar un café y relajarse un sábado por la mañana y había un ambiente encantador que era relajado e informal, pero con un servicio profesional amable. El personal es estrella. El personal acogedor claramente se preocupa y estaban haciendo un esfuerzo adicional a través de la cafetería, mientras que la comida también parecía excelente. El café también fue el mejor sorteo, que fue la clave. Café de alta calidad y bien vale la pena una visita para aquellos cerca del Humber.

Visitado para el desayuno. La comida era genial. El servicio no. El joven tomó nuestra orden abajo. Nuestras bebidas no llegaron. Le preguntamos al servidor quién trajo nuestra comida y él fue muy disculpado y dijo que lo perseguiría. El servidor original volvió y pidió nuestro recibo. Lo miró y lo puso de nuevo sobre la mesa. No te disculpes. A mitad de nuestra comida, llegaron las bebidas, menos una. Tuve que bajar y recoger la bebida que faltaba. La chica detrás del mostrador se disculpó y dijo que el boleto había desaparecido. Volví arriba y seguí comiendo. El servidor original subió cargando un cubo y lo pateó varias veces en el área de personal. No estoy seguro de si estaba teniendo un mal día o alguien lo había molestado, pero definitivamente puso un amortiguador en nuestra experiencia.

Great place. Support independent local businesses. Value is great, location is brilliant and the food and drinks are banging.

Was here on a busy Saturday morning- they warned us food would take about 35 minutes to get to us but it ended up being more like 20 minutes which is reasonable

Possibly the best vegetarian breakfast I've ever had. In fact possibly the best breakfast I've ever had full stop! Lovely staff and a nice vibe all round. Update: came back a year later it's still just as good!

Lugar encantador, único. La comida se servía muy rápido a pesar de lo ocupado que estaba. El personal era muy educado y cortés y atendió a nuestras necesidades. Las tostadas francesas fueron increíbles y mi compañera me asegura que su BLT era excelente, bañado con un café y algunos hachís marrones extra como acompañamiento! Regresará.

Vi al camarero (tipo con el pelo rizado) rascarse el pelo, la espalda, los brazos y luego recoger un pedido y enseguida llevarlo a los clientes sin lavarse las manos! ¡Muchas veces el personal saludó a los perros acariciándolos y alimentándolos, luego fue a servir a los clientes! No parecía dar la bienvenida a los niños muy bien comportados, pero estaba lleno de perros masivos. La comida grosera no era tan buena como en el pasado. ¡No volvería!

Visitamos un lunes a la hora del almuerzo, ya que no hay muchos otros lugares abiertos en este día y podrían hacer una matanza. A mi hija le encanta aquí por lo general, sin embargo no hoy. Estaba lleno abajo y solo un par se fue arriba, pero no demasiado ocupado para el mediodía. Pedimos nuestra comida y después de 40 minutos ni siquiera había recibido nuestras bebidas. Cuando preguntamos, vinieron rápido y también la comida, pero los míos y mis hijas estaban fríos como si hubieran estado esperando a ser llevados a la mesa. No nos quejamos ya que no tuvimos tiempo de esperar de nuevo. Al salir notamos que no se había despejado ni una sola mesa. Puedes y haces esto mejor.

Nicely decorated with plenty of character, banana flapjack was pretty decent too, however it took 25 mins to bring out a can of lemonade and a hot chocolate

*visited 07/10/24 - still the best Cappuccino on the Marina* Was in need of a coffee on a Sat am before my haircut on Humber Street. Lets just say best Cappuccino & Choc Brownie ive had in a long time Superb

Really nice food, quite trendy/indie and doesn't stay open into the late evening. Would recommend for a good date spot!

Not sure what the foods like but thriving Harry’s do the best maintain I’ve ever had.

One of our favourite places to eat on the Hull Marina. Good selection of food and drinks on the menu. Service and the food quality is excellent and I would suggest that the burgers are probably the best in Hull!

On the marina with great views out. Popular place for breakfast, brunch, lunch etc Good variety of dishes on the menu which does update from time to time and there is always some specials. Hot drinks, alcoholic drinks and cakes too. Seating upstairs, downstairs and outside. Well worth a visit.

Lived the food, people who work there are a bit scruffy, but the food was banging!

Food was very nice, though was let down by speed of service. Two orders placed for food for same table, one immediately after the other, second order delivered to table only after first order had already been eaten and digested! On arrival, table next to ours was littered with b office equipment which spilt the ambience. And for info, we were there for brunch, so the venue wasn't extremely busy.

A great place for a lazy breakfast looking out at the marina. We had a Harry's breakfast and a plant based breakfast plus a Mimosa each. Fab food, chatty staff and a lovely location.

We enjoyed our visit to this quirky Café. We had brunch of bacon and maple syrup on eggy toast and eggs florentine. The poached eggs were a little overdone, though, possibly through being left under the service counter lights for too long.

Super tasty food, nice seats outside… took a bit to get my order but maybe I was just too hungry 🤤

Have been here a fair few times and each time it gets better. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and food is excellent. This is a gem for breakfast.

Food was cold and not the best served in a enamel tin plate sausage was anemic bacon was reheated and tasted or charcoal where the griddle probably not been cleaned egg was cold Mushroom and hashbrowns was full of oil source fried bread was not fresh this was on Tuesday had to go somewhere else after paying 52.50 for three breakfast and 3 coffees I feel the name suits this establishment certainly would never go back I am 60 years of age think this is one of the worst breakfast I have ever had the cook should be ashamed to put that out as I would I be

Food was excellent, but due to the Humber sesh, no one could sit inside, as they were clearing up from the previous day. So had to be seated outside, and it was pretty chilly & windy. Staff were running about all over the place, to serve people their breakfasts. Food & staff good, but no atmosphere, service very rushed, but will visit again, when we can be seated inside.

Nice place to stop for a bite to eat reasonably priced and a good gluton free selection.

I love this place! Food and coffee is always spot on when I visit!! Extra points on service and helping me out sending over a birthday cocktail and brownie as a surprise to my mum when I asked over the phone if I could do it! The manager was super helpful and really friendly!! Thanks guys!! It meant a lot to my mum!!

Favourite spot for food in Hull! The food is always great and arrives quick with lovely service from all the team every time we visit, even in busy periods! Special mentions to Declan and Theo for always making our visits so lovely, give those guys a raise! Smiles all round!

Can't beat meeting here when on a trip down Humber Street on a sunny day. As expected, very busy but as I only wanted a drink, managed to sneak on the end of a large tressel table to wait for friends. Good range of drinks, and always a friendly face behind the bar.

A fairly decent breakfast at a not bad price. This place pays more than just a nod to the buildings history and is really authentic. Dog friendly too, which is always a bonus…

Quite a quirky little place with what was probably once had a unique style and atmosphere, although it is a little tired in parts now. Still worth visiting though as the food is good and it's not bad in terms of overall value.

Great cafe. We stopped in for coffee (which was excellent. Recommend their flat white) , but the food looked delicious so we had brunch. Good good, friendly service and funky atmosphere.

This is out go to spot for breakfast when we fancy a little treat. Overlooking the marina, if you can get a seat upstairs at the window and the weather is treating us kindly, it is a lovely backdrop for brekkie. My older sister says the inside reminds her of being at school, which she is not a fan of, but I like the quirky decor inside. Definitely not a minimalists dream, IYKYK. Absolutely love the food here. The chorizo hash is our go to, usually paired with a mimosa, but some of their other dishes are nice too, have had the full breakfast and had no complaints.

As soon as we walked in the door was “greeted” by the rudest girl I’ve ever come across. No hello, just shouted “we’re really busy” and walked away, so I asked “how long for a table we don’t mind waiting” to be told “at capacity based on the staff” and just walked away again. Clearly no interest in getting custom, so rude, we’d have happily waited until they had space but they had no interest in letting us in at all. Unfortunately can’t comment on the food as the customer service was so appalling didn’t even get to try it. Blonde girl.

I was out on my own for a walk around marina and I wanted to end up at thieving Harry’s for a breakfast and coffee. Got there just as they opened and got myself a window seat. Service was good ( only myself and two others in ). I went for the breakfast and a latte. I like my bacon crispy and when it arrived it looked like the bacon had been put in the deep fat fryer and cane served looking not that inviting and not that crispy tbh. Poor effort I thought. Eggs were very good. Extra for black pudding was a weird one considering the breakfast was £13 to start with. Sauce comes in the little paper cups you get in McDonald’s and you only get one. Not sure if you’d get more if you asked. Coffee was good if slightly not as hot as I’d like but I do recall something on the menu about coffee temperature and requesting it hotter. Overall I didn’t get a taste that everything was worthy of the £13 price tag. £8-£9:50 would be more reasonable in my opinion. It’s a popular place and I’ll head back for a coffee but maybe not a breakfast again

Had hot drinks and cake here. We attended late so we weren't able to take advantage of the menu but a good choice of hot drinks and the brownie I had was tasty and comforting. I love the relaxed and "worn" interior and vibe. Recommended.

Great place but the service is notoriously bad. Had to walk out in the past due to waiting over 80 mins for food, even on a good day they seem very understaffed or overly full for their capabilities. Shame because everything else is fab

Fantastic visit for a pre-wedding breakfast for my son and his Best Man. Delicious breakfast with lovely views over the Marina. Food was beautifully fresh, service was fast and with a smile...the buzzing atmosphere was great.

We are visitors to Hull and came here for a late breakfast. Very friendly service from the moment we walked in. Coffee was very good. We had the plant breakfast and I was able to add an egg. Fresh, tasty food and plenty of it! Highly recommend!

Our first time in today & despite been 4 staff down it was absolutely spot on. The food was lovely, especially the french toast & bacon which I had, and the coffee was great. The staff were clearly run off their feet but still had a smile & were friendly & on the ball. Definitely be heading back soon.

Set in an old warehouse with plenty of original features, Thieving Harry's is the Ideal place to go for a meal and a drink if you are around the marina area of Hull's old town. We were having a walk around the area and just walked in. We both chose a bacon sandwich with mushrooms and a cappuccino. They were delicious and definitely recommended.

Came for breakfast, was sorted with a table even though it was very busy. Ordered a cheese and tomato toasties. Got to be the best one I've ever had. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was very good. Highly recommended.

Great food in a converted fruit and veg Market stand. Was brought here by my step son for something to eat. Great choice on offer, including daily specials. I opted for the truffled garlic mushrooms on sourdough with poached eggs on top, and the boys picked the BLT, and the smoked haddock gnocchi. Very tasty and great friendly service too. Would happy return on my next visit to Hull.

I love this place.....always an ever changing specials board, a few years back I debated going in because of the rustic old skool step up, but me and the family love it here. Best coffee by far down Humberstreet.

Lovely, quirky little joint which I always make a point to come to when I can! Whenever I have friends visiting this place is always at the top of my list for when we fancy a good brunch. The cheese toastie and house hot sauce are absolute S-tier. Every friend I have brought with me has had nothing but positive things to say about the food. It's also in a very good location - I love sitting near the window overlooking the Marina and people-watching! As a complete aside, I find it a little sus that multiple low reviews name a "rival establishment" and how their experience at said "rival establishment" was much much better? Like I'm sure people have had bad experiences here, but it makes you think. 🤔

Amazing breakfast, great atmosphere and brilliant staff! Stayed overnight in Hull and wanted somewhere for breakfast and we couldn’t of picked a better place!!

The worst breakfast sandwich I've ever had by far Not only did it look like it had been thrown together and chucked in a box ( wish I'd taken a photo ) but the staff where far too busy chatting behind the till for 10 minutes while my so called breakfast sandwich got cold on their serving hatch. I think they thought I was homeless because I was unshaven and in scruffy work clothes as I was asked to wait near the door for my order haha. If that was the case I certainly wouldn't be coming here for an £8 sandwich which 1/2 of was thrown away . The name of the place is very fitting and quite amusing. Never again

Food absolutely beautiful, not overpriced, we paid just over £30 for two lattes, a small pot of tea, two breakfasts and a side of hash browns, which nowadays I think is very reasonable. Polite and attentive staff. Massive plus is that it’s opened so early on a Sunday!

Place wasn’t really my cup of tea, but I had an issue and the staff were quick to resolve it. Fantastic customer service.

After years of visiting and eating the best breakfast on the marina.. visited today for a feed i was surprised to see they have taken eggs benedict off the menu so only veggie option now big mistake in my opinion and i want visiting again there clearly just catering for the soap dodges and woke brigade 😕😒

I preferred the table service tbh rather than ordering at the bar. Several items not available including the burger which after the breakfast is the only thing I normally order in there, how can you run out of burgers and why not just pop to the shops and buy some?? Everyone enjoyed the food but the avocado was a bit tight on portion sizes.

This place is top notch! If you are visiting Hull or live here for that matter, get yourself here for breakfast or lunch! The food is quality, the service is friendly and relaxed. The place just has an all round good vibe. The coffee is like no other in Hull, got a really great flavor and the food is always well thought out and executed! Better yet they're dog friendly inside and out. The staff love meeting the doggos and they cater for Gluten Free with chips and Hash browns at the very least. (The menu changes periodically). I also know they have evening gigs on occasionally, and although I've never been I can imagine the vibe in there when live music is on is brilliant! Cannot recommend enough for anyone in Hull!

Based in an old fire station, this cafe/restaurant has a good vibe. Interesting menu. Dogs welcome.
