Got food to take away, but wow food was amazing. Restaurant looked amazing when I went in to pick up my food. Fast friendly and polite staff.

Alachi always has delicious food and we are always made to feel welcome by friendly staff. There is an extensive menu and they are happy to adapt items for you if you ask (for example changing the spice level or the meat used). This is our regular Indian restaurant for special occasions and they have always been able to accommodate a large party of 8+ people. They do not serve alcohol (I believe due to religious reasons), but do allow you to bring your own to drink with your meal. There is on-street parking outside the restaurant which usually has spaces in the evening.

Ordered via JustEat. Order ready on time. Food was absolutely delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

No answer on the phones so ordered online, food then took that long and with no one answering phones we ordered from somewhere else, the other food came before this arrived 2.5 hours after ordering. We had to turn them away it is not acceptable. They then phones saying would make it cheaper but we had already ordered and the food had been delivered from another takeaway. Cannot comment on food or atmosphere but very poor service.

After numerous attempts to speak to a member of staff over the phone. Finally answered, tried to briefly explain my notes I added on my order hadn’t saved & type of meat I’d like with my dish didn’t save either. The member of staff wouldn’t let me speak started to shout very loud towards me. Wouldn’t listen to me. Very got the impression because I was a woman too. My mother was on loud speaker with the call she can vouch for this. Always loved this restaurant. But to think it’s acceptable to speak to anyone like this is disgusting. We obviously requested him to cancel our order, which he reluctantly wanted to assist with. We had to end up hanging up the call as he wouldn’t stop shouting. I am very upset, if I was to go into restaurant I wonder how he’d talk to my face. Shame

I ordered a chicken tikka masala and for some reason they'd changed it and sent a mushroom masala instead also the garlic nans tastes plain and really dry hardly any garlic on them quite disappointed as used to love this place but twice now I have been disapointed

I have not had an Indian takeaway for a while so went for tried and trusted Alachi. I am glad I did, it was fantastic. I played jeopardy a little and went for the ‘Handi of the Day’. I would love to know what this is as it was spectacular. Thank you.

We had a lovely meal here. They don't rush you so we had plenty of time to chat. There is no charge for taking your own alcohol (athey don't sell alcohol). The staff were excellent and had a good sense of humour. Will definitely return.

one of the curry had no taste to it witch should of been a spicy curry and plus the potatoes was no taste to them at all.

Nice korma one garlic Nan was real nice other had burn black ash was not nice that why the 4 the rest was lovely

My order has not even come and its now 8.40 and your asking how it is.

I ordered a takeaway on monday 27th may and was meant to come between 8.05 and 8.25 it is now 8.55 and no sign of the take away. On the site it said enjoy your food at 8.25. If thats the case why is it i am still waiting til 8.55 and they dont even let you know by text if there us an issue with the meal. I got recommended of this take away and i will not be ordering from them again.

We went here mid week over the tea time. We were greeted by a lovely man who could not do enough for us. He was very polite, helpful and accommodating. The food was lovely and generous potions. We were given a few complimentary items to try for no extra charge; which was a nice touch. I would recommend this place as we had a very nice night and a lovely meal; we will be going back.

Lovely food! we had the special which is valid on Mondays and Tuesdays which was £14.95. You could have Poppadoms, starter, main with rice or naan and a coffee or ice cream and we even had chocolates when the bill came and we'll definitely be back as BYO too made it great value.

I ordered one of their special menu items as hot as a phall and they delivered without losing the flavour of the meal The service was wonderful and the staff lovely.

Food was amazing! I went out on a limb and ordered the chicken makhani from the chef recommendation and it was the best decision I made! Tasted incredible! 100% ordering that again :)

Probably, quite probably, the worst Indian meal I've ever eaten. The English guy serving us appeared very drunk, not the best start. Was delighted to see Xacuti on the menu so asked for a chicken xacuti. My it was awful, absolutely awful. I left it.

The food was good, but the order took an extremely long time. We rang to see where it was, and the restaurant informed us it had been ready, but there was no driver to bring it. So our food was sitting out waiting, and it was not hot on arrival due to this. A restaurant called to try to change the price of our order due to some error on their end with the menu.

Got the takeaway meal for one, opened up my curry to the smallest bits of chicken I’ve ever seen from a restaurant. I even drew the cash out to help them and paid extra for a naan and this is how I am repaid. Rang the restaurant to asked what is going on, to be told they had put 8 piece of chicken in, yes they had, but that equates to 4 pieces as this was cut in half. Been using them for years and won’t be going back.. shame on you

Ordered food at 18:30 food still not delivered & it’s 21:23. Called the restaurant twice - at 20:36 they said it was just leaving & at 21:18 they said we’ll send it right now. I don’t believe they even made the food. Cancelled the order & asked for a refund via Just Eat. Absolutely fuming after waiting 3 hours for food.

Absolutely appalling, placed an order for delivery took 3 hours to arrive, I kept calling the restaurant and the phone kept cutting off as it wasn’t in use, then after 10 times of calling they finally answered the phone. When the food arrived it was bland and my order wasn’t right. Don’t waste your money ordering here.

Order was late - called restaurant several times and after finally getting through they hung up on us. Called several more times and when they answered without hanging up we were told the food was ‘here’ and would be delivered imminently and an hour later still no delivery. Still waiting… Thoroughly disgusted, will never use again. 0/10.

Walk in and was seated at the table with stand up heaters next to us as it was freezing in side!! We was the only table in there and it took 15mins before we was even asked about drinks…..then had to wait another 20 mins before we got our drinks then 45mins later we decided to leave because there was no staff in the restaurant, there was about 7 people stood in the kitchen talking and eating! AVOID THIS PLACE!!

The food is excellent and you get decent portions although the service really needs to get so much better the restaurant was very busy every table taken and they were still sending takeaway orders out for deliveroo they are either a restaurant or a takeaway especially on a busy weekend.We were waiting for over 1:5 hours for our starters. One other complaint I have is I went in a week earlier to book a table of 11 and paid £50 deposit,when leaving the restaurant they were adamant that they had been short changed to the sum of £47,I told them on a number of occasions that I had paid a deposit and then the penny finally dropped and they understood what I had done then just said thank you without a apology for that alone I won't go back.

Wrong order arrived. Rang them and they said my order was correct. I ordered set meal B they sent set A. The man argued that they sent the right order. Got no where so ended up putting the phone down. What a waste of food and money as I didnt eat much because I dont like the food in the meal they sent.

Couldn't get through again so paid for a meal which we didn't get. Sent a message. Totally ignored. Have used here for years but will never go or order from here again food and service gone way down hill wouldn't recommend ever

Ordered takeaway to pick up, said it would be 40 mins. Went to pick it up, sat waiting for half hour. The quality of the food was poor. Onion bhajis we're very small, burnt and like cardboard. The salad looked like it was last week's. Mushroom rice was bland and so was the chicken tikka balti karai. We have had takeaways from here before and always been ok. But sorry Alachi won't be ordering again.

Starters was ok..mains took an age to arrive. Average food. Bill though they got wrong added extras! Not impressed overall. Shan't be going back. Need to sort out the service.

I ordered a meal from here when I was staying in Hull at a hotel for a course, I had no other food at hand. It took just over an hour for the original order to arrive. It was missing my naan- which being Asian is vital part of eating your curry. We don't eat them separately. I immediately rang the driver within 1 minute.of him leaving, he did not pick up, I tried again a few times he didn't pick up- why? Did he know he had left half an order? I rang the restaurant who said they are sending him back. 30 minutes later I ring again, again told he's OK his way, futher 20 mins still no naan. Finally arrived over 2 hours from the initially order, at 8.45pm Disgusting they couldn't apologise, didn't show any regard for the situation. I would advice no one to order from here.

Order was made at 6.30pm Partial order Recieved at 7.40, immediately realised the naan was not there, rang within 2 minutes of delivery back to the driver- who did refused to take the call, trued for 5 minutes. Rang the restaurant who said he's bringing it now thus us at 7.47. Recalled restaurant at 8.20 still no naan. Writing this at 8.32 pm no naan- unable to eat my curry without naan as that's how we eat curries. Absolutely disgusted that it's 2 hours since my order, I'm in Hull away from home for a course, so ordered food to hotel, just disgusted with them.

Good quality is great unfortunately they miss parts of the order, missed one of our curries then argued when called them, they realised their mistake and sent the curry on its own after we had all eaten

Waited an hour in total for a small collection, got home chips were stone cold, curry lukewarm at best, onion bajis were micro, I never complain about stuff like this I just don’t go back, but I was very disappointed, rang up to tell them, played the old ‘the lines bad trick’ then argued toss with me, won’t b going back shocking service don’t know how it’s surviving with food like that

Food is lovely, however the service has gone right down hill, did a big order for delivery came in expected time, however a curry was missing, when I called I was told he had put all the curry’s in, when I read him the order back he hadn’t seen we had ordered 2 of the same curry, they sent it and the final curry arrived 30 minutes later, hot curry with cold chips and rice!

Food was later then it said. I rang the restaurant to have an update. Said it was with the driver. Arrived 20 minutes later. Food was lukewarm. No apology for it being so late

Really great food. Realistic time given for a Saturday eve and adjustment msg sent when they thought it would be slightly later but they actually delivered within first timing. Will be ordering again.

Last time we ever use this place, gone right downhill. We were going to sit in but decided on a take away. I was reluctant as the last one a few months ago was rubbish. Wish we hadn’t bothered. Absolutely tasteless, I am sure they have changed chefs! Also forgot my starter.
