WOW.... amazing food, probably the best Indian I have ever had. I cant wait to get back, every element was 100% spot on.

Second time I went with my partner last night and honestly think it's my favourite restaurant in the city. Impeccable service, atmosphere and the food is outstanding. Would recommend to anyone as the courses and selection is top notch.

Absolutely Fantastic. Went with family for a Birthday meal. By far the best Indian meal we have ever had.Everything was first class from poppadums and pickle tray to the main course. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be returning. Well done staff at Bengal Pride.Those naan breads were absolutely delicious.

Delicious all round..we had starters and mains. I was brought here as a mate brithday present. I was allowed to take some home with me as I couldn't finish it all. Beautiful food and service. Sweet waiters that work there. I would definitely come here again.

Visited Bengal last night as a combined anniversary and meet up with friends. Arrived around 7 and was strangely empty but as we had waited until after a big football game I think so had everybody else. The place filled up really quickly and despite our table not being great at picking our dishes and getting the kitchen started the service remained calm and friendly. We got there eventually and out our orders in. The waiter double checked them with us too which I think is a must but doesn’t always happen. The dishes were really good. It’s many years since our last visit and the food was as good as ever. We also had three children. Our youngest isn’t really liking spicy food much yet (age7) but we ordered her just some chips and encouraged her to try from the rest of our tables dishes and she really enjoyed one of the rice dishes. The adults knew what to expect from the Naans but the kids were blown away with them. All in all we’ve generally avoided eating out at with spicy foods with our family as she’s maybe not going to enjoy it. But she had a great time with what she had so yeah .. fill them up on Naans, Rice and a few chips and treat yourself. The food here and service is really good. Portions are plenty. I couldn’t tell you what everyone had but I had a Lamb Balti which was very good. It did seem a little expensive but I think food has gone up so much this last few years tbh. Even a packaged sandwich in a supermarket looks pricey to me now so as an occasion well, yolo. Probably we need to go out more and we will see that Parking was surprisingly easy, just found a spot on the main road Thankyou Bengal for great hospitality.

There’s was 8 of us who walked in around 8pm with the whole restaurant full but the staff sorted a table out for us within 10 minutes and got us seated. What can I say the FOOD was amazing compared to the other restaurants in Hull this one had my family craving it again which is now our new spot from now on!! SERVICE- The staff and the manager were fabulous during the evening making sure the food was spot on and if we needed anything more. EVERYONE GIVE THIS A TRY YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

We had a really lovely meal here last night. The staff were really friendly and the food was delicious with plenty of choice on the menu. The portions were big, the beer was good and it was great value for money.

Ive used Bengal pride for years and found the food and service to be of a very high standard, however my last order through eat hot was extremely late i reqested some money back, they awarded me £3. The next time i tried to order, my address was blocked!

100% gets 5 stars all the way. I have been on several occasions with a small group of business owners, and the food and service is always amazing. This is the first time I have been on a personal occasion, and it feels like the 5 star service went up a notch! Thank you for great food and a great evening. Definitely my favourite in Hull!

Tried Bengali pride today and had it delivered to the house. It was a good experience trying the taste of Bengal. The food was fine and abive average but I won't say it was great. Could have been better.

We ordered a takeaway and it was ready within 25 mins. Very, very tasty! We will be returning in the new year, thank you very much!

Service is impeccable. Staff friendly, very amicable and attentive. Food was absolutely delicious, flavourful. Generous portions, good value. Staff even educated me on the different types of curries and even recommended me to try something that wasn't on the menu but authenticatic. Food was perfectly timed from start to finish. Highly recommend.

This has always been a first class Indian restaurant - I used to live around the corner from this place in the 70s and 80s, at the time it was named Balaka from memory. Was always good then, seems no change now. Very good food, extensive selection, first class attentive and friendly staff, a reasonable bill considering the quality. Will make a point of visiting more often in the New Year.

£2.90 for a chapati !!!!! £2.90 for some flour & water outrageous !! I didn't realise until the end I had 2 & was expecting about £3 !!!! What a rip off. I ordered plain rice & got "Pullau" rice . I ordered a Dahl thinking I ordered a starter & it came in at £11 for a bowl of chickpeas in a mild sauce !!!! £11 for a bowl of Dahl !!!! What a rip off.!

We can’t praise this restaurant highly enough. My husband had been many times with his best friend it was their go to monthly curry meet up. He introduced me to the menu recently. It’s a truly special dining experience white table cloths and cotton napkins and the place is spotless. Shah and the rest of the staff are very friendly and nothing too much trouble. I’ll be definitely getting him to bring me again

Just been sun 5pm 12/11/23.had beautifull food with my hubby daughter and boyfriend . Attentive cheerfull waiter . Lovely meal and service . Even boxed up leftovers for us to bring home . And gave us all a free Bailey's . Can't wait to return . Thankyou .

Worst service I've ever come across! Ordered food to take away and paid for. Waited for the delivery time, rang to check no answer then 90 minutes went by, I rang and rang no answer and still no food had been delivered, then got through to be told its cancelled and they aren't delivering the order. With no good reason and no apology. Not sure who they have running the place but it's a joke.

Set menu 17.95 - Shish Kebab, Lamb Jalfrezi, Pilau Rice & chips. Would highly recommend to anyone into quality curry 👍🏻. .

So delicious! My little one found the biryani a bit hot/spicy but the adults all loved the selection of meat and veggie curries and we look forward to coming back.

The sharing starter is a waste of money. The food is not authentic Indian food at all even though they claim it is. The chicken was very overcooked. The service was lovely though but the price and quality was awful.

Good reliable curry with great service. We visit often before the football. The kitchen can be very quick if you let them know you haven't much time which is useful.

Absolutely tremendous quality food which I'm finding harder and harder to come by at the moment. Very nice staff and worth every penny for a lover of Indian quisine.

I have been with my friends to have traditional food and I have really enjoyed with their ambience, food and service. staff was very kind and friendly. The food was really amazing, especially I love balti, taste was amazing. I would recommendmy friends to have same experience too.

I went with my friends to have a dinner and I was surprised with their wonderful dining and food. Food which we ordered was serviced fast with hot and it was tender. I really enjoyed their food and staff was friendly and more courteous. Would like to have more experience in future.

When your charged 4.20 or 8.40 for 2 half cokes you know are having a laugh , food ok but 50 quid for 1 starter and 1 main . Used this place for 20 years but will not go again .

Bengal Pride is our go to local Indian restaurant and take away. Food is amazing with authentic flavour. Kingfisher beer...on draft...is my treat! Service is friendly and quick to make our experience one to remember.

Would have liked to sit in the restaurant sat in the corner last year we sat next to toilet but food always good just sitting when restaurant is busy.

Ordered two meals, one fine, mine wasn't! Ordered chicken jalfrezi and it was inedible chicken? ,with no onions or peppers. Told sorry but they were busy tonight.??

Nice decoration and food was amazing

It was an amazing dining experience. Had tried some of their special menus and the taste was amazing, overall their service was excellent and friendly.

We were really disappointed with how long we had to wait for our food here. The meal didn’t flow at all. There were a lot of tables all just waiting. The food was equally disappointing. We ordered a chicken tikka dhansak. It came with normal chicken - not a big problem - but the sauce was very bland - no heat and no lentils both of which were expected from a Dhansak having had this in many many other Indian restaurants. The naan breads were nice at least and we enjoyed them. Not the cheapest and certainly not the best quality. We shan’t be rushing back.

Sunday night visit, friendly attentive staff, nice food but my Masala lacked flavour 😏 rest was lovely. Really enjoyed the Kingfisher beer! Unfortunately was told the card machine wasn't working AFTER we'd finished eating which was awkward trying to raise the cash!! Would recommend 👌

Didn't fancy going out on such a busy bank holiday so decided on a takeaway. Ordered 5 different main courses and every one was delicious. The flavours, the quality of the meat, the sauces, were all first rate. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Tasty food, friendly staff and good service. Reasonably priced. We will eat here again. The naan bread deserves a special mention as being excellent! Light, fluffy, dripping in tastiness. One of the best I've had.

We came back here after many years and enjoyed the experience. Staff are as accomodating as ever, service is quick (even on a Saturday night) and it's still a traditional yet modern Indian restaurant. My only complaint was the size of my portions of meat in my curry - I'm a fan of big chunks, not so much the thin strips.

Hull isn't renowned for good Indian food but Bengal Pride is a good fix, they do really have 'pride' in their food and what they do. What stood out was the quality of the ingredients used....lovely fresh spinach, great fluffy paneer.. big king prawns...really nice. The spicing was more than generic and the chefs know how to cook. However.. there is room for improvement...the fish Moilee wasn't a Moilee..it tasted ok but was disappointing...if you like guys, I'll come and show you how to make one ..it takes 5 minutes ;) We ate in on a Monday and it was getting full by 6pm ..we went to collect a takeaway ( as reviews said delivery wasn't very efficient) peak time on a Saturday bank holiday weekend, very good and organised . This place will be our regular from now on and it puts others in the area to shame. Well done, lovely food.

Person on the phone was really disrespectful keep swearing didn’t know how to talk to customer he don’t deserve to be in Hospitality industry I was highly recommended but when i call person on the phone was very rude i request to the people of hull do not order from this place if we stop ordering from them they will learn how to respect their customer

Easy to order let you know to collect. Tandoori chicken was exceptional surprise poppadom, salad with lemon and a lovely sauce. Chapati was very nice.

Monday night 6:30pm thought id order from bengal pride made my order for takeaway and was told it would be 1 hour. 1:45 mins for it to turn up,when I rang after 1:15 mins he said it was on the way!! So from chanterlands avenue it still took 30 mins to greenwood avenue??? 8:30pm turned up at my door!! The food is pipping hot so he cooked it and sent it when I rang up!!

I ordered 2 items on just eat at 3pm for 7.30 collection.When I arrived they couldn't find my order, as time passed this happened with a few customers.Apart from one table the place was empty and it was obvious they weren't doing deliveries yet at times there were upto 15 people waiting to collect orders, the place was a total circus, none of them had a clue and when challenged they said what they thought people wanted to hear,at one point offering 40% discount for people to stay !!After repeating my name and order 4 times they eventually produced it at 8.50 and to add insult to injury they add a service charge to the bill !!!..... the food,unsurprisingly wasn't up to their usual standards. Such was the chaos at least one customer was able to walk out with a sizeable order that wasn't paid for. I'm not normally one to complain or write reviews but trust me this had to be seen to be believed.

Been here a couple of times and each time the food and service were excellent. Also, the bills were very reasonable. Would definitely go here again.

Having visited numerous curry houses across the Yorkshire region one can only say this is our favourite by far. From the ease of booking to the welcoming vibe it was a pleasure. Went for evening meal. Been a while since my last visit. Excellent food, drinks and service.Couldn't have been any better really.After the usual popodums and pickles we had onion bhargi, chicken satay and vegetable samosa to start. All fresh and delicious.Then chicken tikka masala and tandoori mixed grill for mains. Nann bread and some French fries. We left completely satisfied.Look forward to our next visit.

Never had a bad meal best Indian in hull

My partner ordered a takeaway from here just before 7pm and it was confirmed to arrive by 8pm. By 8.30 it still hadn't arrived so I waited a few more minutes and then called to chase it up. I was told it would be 5 mins. It arrived at 9pm and some of the items were cold and the lamb was chewy. It wasn't cheap either and we really didn't want to eat so late.

Have always had excellent meals when eating in and also the occasional takeaway has been faultless. Tonight’s takeaway meal was disappointing. My meal only contained four strips of what appeared to be chicken leg. Staff are always polite and friendly. Maybe different chef.

Nothing authentic, “fine cuisine” or even Indian about this food. Just had a very disappointing take away. Ordered korma and a tikka masala. Both were just spiceless runny purée with food colouring. The tikka masala was a flavourless bright red sauce and the chicken had definitely not been marinated at any point. The pilau rice was just white rice with yet more food colouring. The chips were cold too. Such a disappointment as we have had better meals there before.

Lovely restaurant, friendly staff and lovely food. Usually don’t have to wait too long for food and even if you do, it’s worth it. Would recommend going here 100%. Best restaurant on chants ave 100%.

Well ordered at 6pm now 8.45 pm seen nearly all Britain’s got Talent and still not arrived !!!! Good job I am on Weight watchers a Definately weight loss this week ........ starving

Ordered for delivery. The good: Very creamy and tasty masala sauce (would have been 1 star without it). The bad: Delivered 45 minutes late (had to call to chase it up). The currys and rice were luke warm. The naans and chips were cold (had to microwave them). The rice was swimming in water. The chicken was dry. All told, a waste of £35.

Food here is always good both for sit down or takeaway. Eaten here many times and never left disappointed. We went late around 9:30 for tea but was still very good. Service was okay, food came quickly and was very tasty. Chicken Pakora starter was delicious.
